  • his paper develops the systematic and quantitative priority-determining method for national investment using the framework of evaluating R&D. This study proposes multi criteria for evaluating the R&D of New & Renewable Energy through analysing the attribute of 11 types of energy. The framework is constituted by 4 criteria, the political urgency, economic impact, regional constraint. and technological attribute and the each criteria has 3 or 4 sub-criteria. These sub-criteria are weighted using AHP.

A Preliminary Study on the Characteristics and Criteria of New Material for the Possibility of Application in Housing Space (주거공간에 적용 가능한 신소재 특성 및 기준에 관한 기초 연구)

  • This study is a fundamental research which suggests some standards that can be used in selecting some advanced materials to be applied in housing space designs. The following conclusions have been drawn from the study. First, it has been discovered that as the residents' quality of life improved, the finishing materials emerged as an important element of housing spaces. It could also be seen that among the finishing materials used in housing spaces, there is recently a growing trend towards various environmentally-friendly advanced materials under the theme of 'the nature' and 'health'. As a result, the need to investigate the standards of discriminatory and efficient housing space designs using advanced materials is on the increase. Second, through the literature and precedent studies, the physical criteria of advanced materials have been classified into five categories: new technology, new manufacturing methods, new materials, complementation and applicability. The main criteria of advanced finishing materials for housing spaces have been classified into four main categories: durability, functionality, economical efficiency and sensibility. By collecting and classifying some key words according to each of these four categories, the representative or combinable features have been extracted. By organizing the advanced materials' physical criteria and their details, some standards based on the physical aspects have been suggested. The features of the finishing materials in consideration of advanced materials have been reclassified into the user-based criteria, environmental criteria and spatial criteria. Through this method, the criteria have been brought up from a new viewpoint, establishing the standards for the advanced materials applicable to housing spaces. Finally, after assessing the criteria by analyzing the advanced materials currently known to be applicable in housing spaces, it has been concluded that the criteria can be used as the fundamental standards. As this study is based on investigating the literature and data, it may be less than reasonable to generalize from the limited number of examples. Hence, it shall be important to make a profound study of some detailed criteria by suggesting more objective standards and analyzing a greater variety of advanced materials.

  • A new concept of stability that includes Lyapunov and orbital stabilities and leads to concepts in between them is discussed in terms of a given topology of the function space.   • This study proposes new fashion brand evaluation criteria. In developing the criteria, we emphasize the following considerations: first, the object of the evaluation should be the brand rather than the products or store second, the "new" brand should be the "new" brand from the consumer's perspective finally, only fashion brands available in department store are included to examine the relationship between evaluation criteria and consumers' relationship quality perception with a department store. Our data analysis of an online survey panel sample of 537 female consumers produced six new fashion brand evaluation criteria: merchandise power, in-store communication, brand/company image, salesperson, VMD, and assortment variety. New fashion brand evaluation criteria factors include both brand attributes and store attributes. Brand-related evaluation criteria are merchandise power, assortment variety, and brand/company images, whereas store-related criteria are VMD, salesperson, and in-store communication. The associations among brand evaluation criteria, brand attitudes, and the consumers' relationship quality with department store were tested by regression analysis.

  • The G-SEED encourages the installation of new and renewable energy facilities through assessments of the new and renewable energy installation rates. The government also regulates the installation rate of new and renewable energy facilities in the 'Project on new and renewable energy obligation in public installations'. The current criteria concerning the new and renewable energy facilities in the G-SEED are the result of an amendment made in July 2010. As over five years have passed since this amendment, the assessment criteria needs to be reenforced. To improve the current criteria, the calculation results of the installation rate of new and renewable energy facilities in the G-SEED were analyzed and compared to the corresponding calculation results of the 'Project on new and renewable energy obligation in public installations'. And an improved draft for the assessment criteria of the new and renewable energy facilities in the G-SEED was proposed.

A Study on the Criteria and Characteristics of New Material for Housing Space Focused on Sustainability (지속가능한 측면에서의 주거공간 신소재의 기준 및 특성)

  • The study was to grasp features of new material applicable to housing space in the sustainable side by analyzing materialistic features of new material and features of sustainable material with sustainable new material. Through analysis on sustainable new material, the study deducted the below conclusion. First, through the precedent studies, the characteristics of sustainable materials have been classified into eight categories : friendly healthiness, non-toxicity, comfortableness, naturality, recycling, harmlessness of environment, separate collection, reusability. After the criteria have been brought up from new material applicable to housing space in the sustainable. Second, in materialistic Characteristics of new material, 'New Process' was mainly applied. There was no any new material applied to 'new raw material'. Therefore, it is thought that it is necessary to study on development of perfectly new material and to study on new material to apply material used in other fields to finishing material of dwelling space. Third, in Characteristics of sustainable material, 'Re-serviceability' appeared most and 'Non-toxicity' and 'Recycling' appeared in the next. 'Friendly Healthiness' and 'Separate collection' appeared only one on the other side. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to develop and study new material including health components considering user's health, function for health increase and function to grope comfort for humans. Finally, after researching and analysis the criteria by recently presented the new material, it has been concluded that the standard can be used as the criteria of new material for the possibility of application in housing space. On the basis of the study, the author will carry out analysis on sustainable new material minutely and utilize it as basic data to suggest a standard of sustainable new material applicable to dwelling space in the future.

Suggestion of the New Criteria on the Shear Strength of Rock Joint (새로운 암석 절리면 전단강도식의 제안)

  • Shear strength of the rock joint is dependent on the roughness and the compressive strength of the joint surface, normal stress and etc. Roughness of the joint profile is described by JRC suggested by Barton and Choubey (1977). Choice of the JRC value is subjective. A number of studies have been carried out to quantify the JRC. Predicted shear strengths by Barton's Equation using the new quantification method of JRC suggested by Chun and Kim (2001) were compared results of shear tests and new criteria of shear strength which have a better accuracy to predict shear strength was suggested.

Economic Self-Sufficiency Criteria for New Town Planning by Network Characteristics (도시네트워크 특성에 따른 신도시 경제적 자족성 기준 연구)

  • As the spatial structure of a region is evolving into a decentralized multi-nucli model, networked connection among cities in a region is emerging as an important issue to strengthen regional competitiveness. This paper focused on the limitation of current new town planning criteria which just suggest a uniform standard for economic self-sufficiency by new-town size, without representing the network characteristics of new town. If a new town is planned as a economic strongpoint within a region, it needs to secure appropriate industrial functions. This study classified the characteristics of new towns by network analysis and reviewed the economic self-sufficiency criteria by new town types. Using various network connectedness indices, the 1st and 2nd round new towns in the capital region were analyzed, and land-use distribution of new-towns in other countries were also examined comparatively. The network characteristics of new towns are classified as three types: mono-nucleus, distributed center, and dependent. Based on this classification, planning criteria for self-sufficiency were compared among 6 new towns. This study provides implications for the amendment of "the sustainable new town planning criteria" or the revision of development plans.

The Influence of New Seniors' Lifestyle and Apparel Purchase Criteria on Design Preference of Outdoor Apparel Products (뉴시니어 라이프스타일과 의복구매기준이 아웃도어 의류제품 디자인 선호도에 미치는 영향)

  • This research aimed to identify the characteristics of outdoor apparel market for new seniors. To achieve this goal, influence of new seniors' lifestyle and apparel purchase criteria of design preferences of outdoor apparel products were investigated. An online-survey was conducted targeting fifties who have bought outdoor apparel within one year. The collected data were carried out for factor analysis, independent sample T-test, and regression analysis by using SPSS 22.0. Results showed that new seniors' lifestyles were composed of appearance-orientation, well-being diet, well-being exercise, self-development, and challenge-orientation. Purchase criteria of outdoor apparels were factored out as practical, aesthetic, and social. Appearance -orientation and self-development affect aesthetic and social factors. Well-being diet influences all factors of purchase criteria. Challenge -orientation has effect only on social factor. Women favored round-and V-neckline more than men did as well as preferred half and 3/4 long for sleeve. Customers who value practical purchase criteria preferred half-sleeve, zipper, and button-closure designs. In contrast, customers who have aesthetic purchase criteria like round/V-neckline and cap sleeve. Social factor affected high neckline and vivid-tone color preference significantly. As outdoor design for new senior it is critical to introduce differentiation of outdoor brand with various designs combining functionalities of outdoor activities and style looking young and dandy, which is highlighted as trendy and casual, over current outdoor apparels' unified design.
