Robust output feedback compensator design for multivariable systems

  • In this note, we consider a robust linear shift-invariant feedback compensator design for discrete-time multivariable systems which have both matched and mismatched uncertainties. In order to attack the problem of designing robust compensators guaranteeing uniform ultimate boundedness of every closed-loop system response within a neighborhood of the zero state based solely on the knowledge of the upper norm-bounds of uncertainties, we use an approach which is effective on studying augmented feedback control systems with both mismatched and matched uncertainties. We draw some robust stability conditions using the approach and give an example.

  • In adaptive neuro-control, neural networks are used to approximate unknown plant nonlinearities. Until now, most of the studies in the field of controller design for nonlinear system using neural network considers the affine system with fixed number of neurons. This paper considers nonaffine nonlinear systems and on-line variation of the number of neurons. A control law and adaptive laws for neural network weights are established so that the whole system is stable in the sense of Lyapunov. In addition, at the expense of th input, tracking error converges to the arbitrary small neighborhood of the origin. The efficiency of the proposed scheme is shown through simulations ofa simple nonaffine nonlinear system.

  • In this paper, we propose a new servo system design strategy to reduce the position error signal(PES) and track mis-registration(TMR) in magnetic disk drive systems. The proposed method provides a systematic design procedure based on the plant model and an optimal solution via an optimization with a 'Robust Random Neighborhood Search(RRNS)' algorithm. In addition, it guarantees the minimum PES level as well as stability to parametric uncertainties. Furthermore, the proposed method can be used to estimate the performance at the design stage and thus can reduce the cost and time for the design of the next generation product. The reduction of PES as well as robust stability is demonstrated by simulation and experiments.

  • A travel groupoid is a pair (V, ${\ast}$) of a set V and a binary operation ${\ast}$ on V satisfying two axioms. For a travel groupoid, we can associate a graph in a certain manner. For a given graph G, we say that a travel groupoid (V, ${\ast}$) is on G if the graph associated with (V, ${\ast}$) is equal to G. There are some results on the classification of travel groupoids which are on a given graph [1, 2, 3, 9]. In this article, we introduce the notion of vertex-indexed partition systems on a graph, and classify the travel groupoids on the graph by the those vertex-indexed partition systems.

저속형 전기자동차 주행시 시스템 영향분석 - VISSIM 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 - (The Effect Analysis of NEV(Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) Driving - with VISSIM Simulation -)

  • 저속형 전기자동차가 일반 자동차와 함께 도로에 주행을 하기 위해서는 교통 전략이 필요하다. 저속형 전기자동차는 가솔린, 디젤, LPG 등을 연료로 사용하는 일반 자동차에 비해 급격한 가속이 불가능하기 때문에 교통상황에 방해가 될 수 있으며 정체의 원인이 될 수 있다. 녹색신호가 켜지고 저속형 전기자동차를 포함한 모든 자동차는 도로를 주행하게 될 것이나 저속형 전기자동차의 최고속은 50km/h에 불과하다. 이것은 후행차량에게 방해가 될 수 있으며 교차로 정체의 원인이 될 수 있다. 이러한 이유로 본 연구에서는 선행신호를 가진 큐점프 등의 교통체계를 고려해 볼 필요가 있다. 저속형 전기자동차의 도로 운영을 분석하기 위해 본 연구는 3가지 시나리오를 설정하여 분석하였다. 첫째로 저속형 전기차와 일반차량이 도로에 혼합되어 운행하는 경우, 두 번째는 저속형 전기차만을 위한 전용차로, 세 번째는 큐점프 차선을 만들고 선행신호를 부여하는 것이다. 각각의 시나리오는 혼잡상황과 비혼잡상황에서 전기자동차의 전체 비율에 따라 분석되었다. 그 결과 우리는 전기차가 20% 이상 통행하는 경우, 통행속도를 증가시키려면 전용차선으로 운영하는 것이 효과적이라고 볼 수 있었으며 시나리오 3은 정체나 평균속도 그 어떠한 것에도 긍정적인 영향을 끼치지는 못했다고 나타났다.

  • Product characteristic approach and hedonic method were explained and applied to demand behavior of housing for 360 households sampled from four districts of Seoul. Th major findings are: 1) Housing prices are determined by housing characteristics, i.e., basic structure, interior space, interior quality, and neighborhood quality. 2) as income increase , the demand for basic structure, interior space, interior of quality, and neighbor hood quality increases. As compared to the counties that have advanced housing financial systems, income elasticity form housing characteristics was low. 3) householder's educational level has insignificant effects on the demand for neighborhood quality. 4) the housing need of family is different to a family life cycle. In the first stage, the increase of income enhances the demand for basic structure. interior space, and interior quality, but inversed with neighborhood quality. In the second and third stages, the demand for basic structure, interior space, and interior quality increases as the income increases. 5) It is predicted that the larger the family size, the more housing space is required. But in the low-income group, an increase in family size results in a decrease in the demand for interior space because expenses for food and education are indispensable ones. In the middle -income group the demand for interior space, interior quality increases as the family size increases, In the high-income group, the larger the family size the more interior quality is demanded. As mentioned above, the demand for housing is derived form characteristics and the demand behavior far housing characteristics is varied with individual household's characteristics. Therefore, the fact that different housing needs according to various income groups should be considered in housing policy.

CHAOTIC BEHAVIOUR OF CHAIN COMPONENTS IN BISHADOWING SYSTEMS

  • In this paper we show that if a dynamical system $\phi$ has bishadowing and cyclically bishadowing properties on the chain recurrent set CR($\phi$) then all nearby continuous perturbations of $\phi$ behave chaotically on a neighborhood of each chain component of $\phi$ wheneer it has a fixed point. This is a generalization of the results obtained by Diamond et al.([3]).

  • Cellular automata are discrete dynamical systems whose behaviour is completely specified in terms of a local relation. If cellular automata convergence to fixed points, then it can be used to image processing. From the generalized Potts automata point of view, we propose in this paper a cellular automata technique for reducing image noise. To minimize blurring effect, an algorithm based on neighborhood median computation is Preferred. Experimental results are reported.

  • The purpose of image sequence coding is to reduce the spatio-temporal redundancies. The transform coding such as DCT is used for the spatial redundancies. In this paper, the optical flow method is applied to solve the problem of temporal redundancies. So far, pixel intensity conservation has been used to solve the optical flow. We used the neighborhood information as well as pixel intensity conservation. And we compared the merits and demerits of the conventional method and the proposed method in this paper.

  • In this paper, we consider variable structure controller design of a active magnetic bearing(AMB). In particular, we design a switching hyperplane, considering coupling characteristic among each magnet. This method is designed by applying decentralized control method. Controller design consist of two factors that is, one is linear control part to drive state variables to zero asymptotically and the other is a nonlinear controller part to maintain within neighborhood of switching hyperplane. Finally, A control method designed here is checked by simulation, which shows good results.
