  • According to expansion of wireless communication system and mobile device, interest has been growing in personal navigation system integrated with wireless system. In portable consumer electronics, such as cellular phones, GPS and PDA, one of major design factors is the power consumption. Solutions of reducing the power dissipation are low voltage, low system clock power management and so on. This paper develops a GPS receiver based on the advanced power management algorithm that achieves very low average power consumption. Both RF and DSP chips are powered down and reactivated only when the position fixing is required.   • Superconducting transmission power cable is one of interesting parts in power application using high temperature superconducting wire. One of import ant parameters in high-temperature superconduting (HTSC) cable design is transport current distribution because it is related with current transmission capacity and AC loss. In this paper, the transport current distribution at conducting layers was investigated through the analysis of the equivalent circuit for HTSC power cable with shield layer and compared with the case of without shield layer. The transport current distribution due to of the contact resistance and the pitch was improved in the case of HTSC power cable with shield layer from the analysis.

  • 본 논문은 중 전력, 고 입력 전압응용에서 많이 이용되는 비대칭 하프브릿지 PWM DC-DC 컨버터의 다중 출력 구성을 위한 최적의 설계 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 기본 PWM에서 부하에 따른 연속전류동작모드(CCM)의 구간을 늘여, 제어되는 전원의 부하 변동이 크더라도, 다중출력 되어지는 전원의 정상상태 동작점의 변동이 크게 발생하지 않도록 한다. 제어되는 비대칭 하프브릿지(ASHB)의 부하에 따른 시비율 변화가 작아지면 경 부하에서 변압기에 인가되는 전압의 크기가 줄어들어 다중 출력 되어지는 단의 전체적인 전압 스트레스가 감소한다. 또한 제안된 방식의 비대칭 하프브릿지 회로는 기존의 1차 측 전류 비대칭성을 보상하여 보다 넓은 부하 영역에서 영전압 스위칭이 가능하며 스위칭 손실과 이에 의한 EMI가 감소하게 된다. 제안된 방식은 기존 하드웨어와 비교하여 그 성능을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, the series chopper based power train for electric vehicle is proposed for aiming the increase of one battery charge driving distance. Both the motor test bench based experiments and the chassis dynamo based experiments are tested and then analyzed for EV driving performance that the proposed power train with SAZZ chopper and Quasi-PAM control scheme is compared with or without the series chopper. It is confirmed through two kinds of experimental analyses that the series chopper power train for EV can be useful to extend the driving distance if the high efficiency and the low weight of chopper are satisfied.

  • 연료전지가 동작할 때에는 공기공급을 위한 압축기가 동작하게 되는데 공기의 유량에 따라 연료전지의 출력전력이 달라진다. 또한 공기의 유량에 따라 압축기에서 소비하는 전력이 달라지기 때문에 공기 유량에 따른 연료전지의 최대 효율점이 존재하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 연료전지의 출력전력에서 압축기의 손실전력을 제외한 순수 파워를 최대로 낼 수 있는 유량을 추적 제어하는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 경계 모드(Critical Mode) 플라이백 타입의 DC-AC 인버터에 인터리빙을 적용한 디지털 제어를 제안한다. 연속모드(CCM)나 불연속모드(DCM)와 달리 경계 모드의 경우 주파수가 가변되기 때문에 인터리빙으로 구현하기는 상당히 까다로운 측면이 있다. 또한 아날로그 제어기로 구현에 한계를 지니기 때문에 보다 간편한 구현을 위해 디지털 제어IC을 이용하여 구현하는 방법에 대해 기술한다. 본문에서 200W급 플라이백 타입의 DC-AC 인버터에 경계모드 인터리빙을 방법을 적용한 후 실험으로 검증한다.

  • This paper describes a high voltage high power DC power supply which has the ability of pulsed mode operation. The power supply Is constructed with several series connected power converters based on modified multilevel converters. The modified multilevel converters are suitable for the protection of frequent output short-circuit. The output dc power of the proposed converter can be disconnected from the load within several hundred microseconds at the instant of short-circuit fault. The rising time of the dc load voltage is as small as several hundred microseconds, and there is no overshoot of the do voltage because the dc output capacitors keep undischarged state. Analysis, simulations, and experiments are carried out to Investigate the operation and usefulness of the proposed scheme.

  • In these days, our social infra which are computer and internet has been developed and our community has been digitalized with a large quantity information that can be sharable or productive. So we can say that older knowledge organization based on the man power is changing with automatical and intellectual aspect. Thus we have to apply this movement to get the high efficiency and the competitive power in the organization and to take the voluntaries attitude of operator with real time inputting or fast calculating speed. Beside most of developed countries are owned their power system analysis software. Like kind of this facts can affect for national reliance. So in this paper we propose that the suggestion for both field power system and IT how these can be cooperated. The note that this paper is came from the project which name is Graphics Power Flow analysis.

An Effective Experimental Optimization Method for Wireless Power Transfer System Design Using Frequency Domain Measurement

  • This paper proposes an experimental optimization method for a wireless power transfer (WPT) system. The power transfer characteristics of a WPT system with arbitrary loads and various types of coupling and compensation networks can be extracted by frequency domain measurements. The various performance parameters of the WPT system, such as input real/imaginary/apparent power, power factor, efficiency, output power and voltage gain, can be accurately extracted in a frequency domain by a single passive measurement. Subsequently, the design parameters can be efficiently tuned by separating the overall design steps into two parts. The extracted performance parameters of the WPT system were validated with time-domain experiments.
