This study examines the stage costumes of the creative musical 'Hyecho', which was performed six times in the Chung Ang Art Center hosted by Chung-Ang University's performance & media agency from December 20 to 22 in 2006. The stage costumes were made based on these basic design elements of stage costumes that were dyed : line, silhouette, material, and color. First, the creative musical 'Hyecho' presents a new form of fusion theatre, which blends Korean traditional music and dance with videos. Thereby, the musical has opened a new phase in Korea's creative performing arts. Second, in musical performances that combines dance and songs, stage costumes should be made not only to attract the audience's eyes, but also not to interrupt actors' vocalizations and movements by taking their physical features into account. Also, costumes should be made in consideration of their relationships with visual elements, including stage settings and lighting. Third, the musical features fusion-style stage costumes, which combines Hanbok, the Korean traditional costume, and Indian traditional costumes with modern costumes. For the line and silhouette, costumes show the beauty of curves through the curves of Hanbok and India's traditional costumes and also through irregular pleats of pants. Also, by using cotton materials, which is easy to dye and not readily deformed, costumes feature colors that are found in nature through a gradation dyeing technique. In doing so, it offers visual amusement to the audience by making stage costumes look like a beautiful painting. Fourth, the stage costumes of the chorus feature costumes that use lining and pleated skirts using belts, and various accessories, including necklaces that use strings in order to express evil spirits. Since there is not much time to change costumes during a performance, using such items are helpful to show the unique characteristics of actors effectively during the limited time. Also, coordinating with the lighting director allows the costume designer to make better costumes for the chorus and make the performance more dramatic. Finally, it was not necessary to wash the costumes of the chorus of the fusion musical Hyecho 2006 since it was performed only six times. However, when using dyed costumes for the long-term performance, it might cause problems such as bleaching that result from the washing of costumes and low durability that can result in the deformation of costumes. As performing arts are made in various forms and are diversified, it is needed for stage costumes to change accordingly through new attempts and various ways of expression.

문화 콘텐츠 리부트 시대가 도래함에 따라 오프 브로드웨이를 통한 브로드웨이 성공 신화를 쓴 <캐리>는 뮤지컬 분야만이 아닌 다양한 관점으로 연구될 수 있는 유용한 가치를 가지고 있다. 아직 국내에 올려지지 않은 작품이지만, 이 작품이 얼마나 오늘날 많은 영향력을 끼치고 있는지는 유튜브 채널이나 국제 공연 예술 전문지를 통해 한국에 전해지고 있다. 더욱이 뮤지컬 <캐리> 대본은 드라마의 극적 소재로서 학교 폭력, 가족간의 소통의 부재, 극단적인 종교 심취만이 아닌 오늘날 사회문제를 뮤지컬을 통해 해석하고자 하는 이론서와 같이 세상을 바라보게한다. 오늘날 STEAM을 활용한 스마트러닝이 다양한 교육 방법에 도입되면서 학생들은 스마트폰, 아이패드를 비롯한 다양한 스마트 기기를 활용한 디지털 시대 정보와 기술 습득을 위한 속도감있는 교류를 하고 있다. 하지만 STEAM 교육에 감정(Emotion)이 포함되어 있음에도 불구하고 소셜 네트웍크를 통한 소통은 유대감보다 가상 현실을 통해 현실에서 극단적인 집단 이기주의와 소외감을 경험하게 한다. 뮤지컬 <캐리>를 통해 해석되고 있는 청소년 문제를 바라보고, 뮤지컬 작품을 통한 사회문제를 진단해본다.

아티스트에게 음악적 정체성을 가지고 있는가의 여부는 상당히 중요하다. 현재 국내의 대형기획사는 치밀한 기획력과 자본을 바탕으로 음악적 정체성이 없는 아이돌이라는 문화 상품을 만들어내고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에서 자신의 사상과 정체성을 명확하게 드러냈던 아티스트 프린스를 주목해야 할 필요가 있다. 그의 음악적인 천재성과 독특함에 대한 많은 연구는 음악의 본질에 대해 다시금 생각하게 하는 자극제가 될 것이다. 편곡자로의 프린스는 텐션 노트를 효과적으로 활용하고 어보이드 노트마저도 음악적인 색깔로 표현할 수 있다는 것을 보여주었다. 그가 가지고 있는 음악적인 천재성과 독특함에 대한 더욱 많은 연구가 앞으로도 계속 이루어져야 하며, 이러한 연구는 음악공부를 하는 사람들을 비롯하여 대중에게도 음악의 본질에 대해 다시금 생각하게 하는 자극제가 될 것이다. 음악에는 정답이 없고, 그 본질에는 예술이라는 근본이 있어야 한다.

청소년을 대상으로 한 심폐소생술 교육에서 음악적 리듬을 적용하는 것이 가슴압박의 속도에 어떤 영향을 주는지 알아보기 위하여 본 연구를 시행하였다. 음악적 리듬의 교육효과를 측정하기 위하여 2013년 6월부터 10월까지 남자고등학생을 대상으로 한 심폐소생술 교육 시 음악적 리듬을 적용한 군과 적용하지 않고 일반적 방법으로 교육을 시행한 군으로 나누어 흉부압박 속도와 깊이 등 심폐소생술의 질을 비교하였다. 음악적 리듬을 적용한 군의 평균압박속도는 16.4초로 음악적 리듬을 적용하지 않은 군의 평균압박속도인 14.4초보다 더 적절하였다. 또한 리듬적용군의 90%가 권장압박속도인 15-18초를 유지하였으나 비적용군의 44%만이 권장속도를 유지하였으며, 이는 통계적으로도 유의하였다(p<0.05). 결론적으로 청소년 대상 심폐소생술 교육 시 음악적 리듬을 적용하는 것이 심폐소생술 교육효과, 특히 흉부압박의 속도를 적절하게 유지하는데 기여하는 것으로 조사되었다.

본 연구는 SNS를 활용하여 창작뮤지컬 공연을 관람하는 고객들의 창작뮤지컬 선택속성이 만족도에 미치는 영향관계를 파악하여 공연기획 및 홍보마케팅 시 관람객들의 창작 뮤지컬에 대한 인식을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 창작뮤지컬 선택속성이 만족도에 미치는 영향관계를 살펴본 결과 SNS를 활용하여 창작뮤지컬 공연을 선택하는 고객들의 경우에는 뮤지컬의 내용구성(1순위), 주연급 배우(2순위), 뮤지컬에 대한 평가(3순위), 뮤지컬의 연출(4순위)이 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 무대구성, 직원들의 서비스, 공연장에 대한 만족도, 뮤지컬 관람비용의 경우에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그러나, SNS를 활용하지 않고 창작 뮤지컬 공연을 선택하는 경우에는 뮤지컬의 내용구성(1순위), 뮤지컬에 대한 평가(2순위), 뮤지컬의 연출(3순위), 주연급 배우(4순위) 순으로 만족도에 영향을 미치지만 직원들의 서비스, 무대구성, 뮤지컬 관람비용, 공연장에 대한 만족도의 경우에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

본질적으로 뮤지컬은 다매체성을 지니기 때문에 뮤지컬 음악을 감상할 때 복합적인 감각을 통해 체험하게 된다. 그러므로 뮤지컬 음악을 분석하기 위해서는 그 음악과 직접적인 연관을 가진 가사, 무용, 무대와 같은 다양한 매체와의 상호작용에 주안점을 두어야 한다. 본 연구는 텍스트와 음악의 결합 양상, 움직임과 음악의 결합 양상, 시각적 요소와 음악의 결합 양상을 종합적으로 고려할 수 있는 개념적 혼성 이론(Conceptual Blending Theory)을 통해 뮤지컬 <웨스트 사이드 스토리>의 음악을 분석한다. 뮤지컬에서 가사와 음악의 상호작용으로 만들어지는 결과물, 안무와 음악의 상호작용으로 만들어지는 결과물, 무대와 음악의 상호작용으로 만들어지는 결과물을 탐구함으로써 작품의 예술성과 내재되어 있는 가치를 증명할 수 있다. 또한 개념적 혼성 이론을 적용한 음악 분석을 통해 통합적 해석의 과정 및 체계를 발견할 수 있다. 따라서 개념적 혼성 이론은 뮤지컬 음악 분석 방법론으로써 충분한 효용성을 갖게 된다.

본 논문은 음악신호의 옥타브 밴드 상에서 주파수와 시간 방향의 순서 통계량에 기반한 음악분류기에 대한 연구이다. 음악의 화음 및 강약 구조를 표현하기 위해서 파워스펙트럼의 옥타브 밴드 순서 통계량을 이용하였다. 널리 사용되고 있는 두 음악 데이터셋을 이용한 성능 실험을 통해서, 옥타브 밴드 순서 통계량이 기존의 MFCC 와 옥타브밴드 스펙트럼 고저차 특징에 비해서 두 데이터셋에대해 각각 2.61 %와 8.9 % 장르 분류정확도가 개선되었다. 실험결과는 옥타브 밴드 순서 통계량이 음악 장르 분류에 적합함을 보인다.

In this paper, we proposed an algorithm for the musical note recognition. Firstly, a given bit-mapped music score image is converted to a set of individual note pattern images via vertical projection. Then, the pitch of a note is determinal by comparison in the note-head position with the reference five-lines. Also, the length of a note is found via leader clustering with a set of normalized note patterns. Finally, a datafile to play the music is obtained using the pitch and length of musical notes. Experimental results with a simple musical score image show that the proposed scheme is performed well.

음악인식에 주로 사용되는 세 가지 알고리즘의 성능을 비교하였다. 다양한 분류알고리즘을 소개하고 그 중 베이지안법, 최근접이웃법과 k-최근접이웃법을 이용하여 악기를 분류하였다. 악기 샘플파일에서 영교차율, 평균, 분산, 평균피크레벨의 4가지 특성값을 추출하여 분류시스템의 데이터로 사용하였다. 사용된 악기 샘플은 바이올린, 바로크 바이올린, 바로크 첼로이다. 실험결과 최근접이웃 알고리즘이 악기 분류에 있어서 가장 좋은 성능을 보여 주었다. 최근접이웃 알고리즘은 단순하면서도 빠른 계산결과를 보여 악기 분류에 적절한 알고리즘으로 판단되었다.

This paper makes a report of Shaman\`s ritual performed among Korean resiednts in Japan as socio-historical facts, and this also examines the symbolic meanings of Shamans\` costumes. The results are as follows ; 1) At the ritual of Jungsip-Wang Maji, Shamans wear Gwandae, Kunbok, Jangsam, Durumaki, and Chima-jugori. These costumes show that their wearers are priests and gods at the same time. 2) The reason why Simbang performs the ritual in different costumes at different Jaechas is that each object-god needs different costumes to represent its different character. 3) Shamans\` instruments consist of musical instruments and other instruments. Among the musical instruments are such percussions as Buk, Jing, Janggo and Sulsae. Among other insttruments are Sindo, Sanban and Yoryung. 4)Shamans think that the musical instruments have magic powers to drive out minor demons and invite gods. Sindo, Sanban and Yoryung are thought to be the symbolic instruments representing god\`s will.
