In essence, Musical theatre is a multimedia show, so when you listen to musical numbers, you will experience it through multiple senses. Therefore, in order to analyze musical numbers, emphasis should be placed on its interaction with various media such as lyrics, dance, and theatre, which have a direct association with the music. Through the Conceptual Blending Theory, which can comprehensively consider the combination of text and music, the combination of movement and music, and the combination of visual elements and music, this study analyzes the music of Musical . By exploring the result of interaction between lyrics and music, the interaction between choreography and music, and the interaction between stage and music, the artistry and intrinsic value of the work can be proved. In addition, we can discover the process and system of integrated interpretation through music analysis applying Conceptual Blending Theory. Therefore, Conceptual Blending Theory has sufficient utility as a methodology for music analysis of musical theatre.

This thesis focuses on the five functions of film music as proposed by American composer Aaron Copland, and the application of these functions in the modern film Cinema Paradiso featuring music by Italian composer Ennio Morricone. Morricone has shown the application of these techniques in Western films such as the 1960s film A Fistful of Dollars and the top-rated 1980s films The Mission and Cinema Paradiso. Through his work, he maximizes the effects of representation in each scene by using variations of the theme music to effectively apply the functional theory of film music. Cinema Paradiso, especially, pursued the consistency and diversity of film at the same time. And it emphasized the specific atmosphere, intending to provide continuity in the scenes during the progress of the film. This thesis provides an understanding of the variation technique in film music, and the functionality of film music from scene to scene, as used by Morricone, for students majoring in film music.

This study predicts the paradigm shift that the development of artificial intelligence technology will bring to the production of music content, and suggests that works created through collaboration between artificial intelligence and humans can have artistic value as finished products. Anyone can easily produce music content using artificial intelligence composition programs, and it has become an opportunity to inspire artists with various attempts and creative ideas. Although artificial intelligence technology provides convenience in human life and benefits a lot in the efficient aspect of work, it is difficult to escape the perception of data-based pattern music in the art field so far. Pattern music with many quantitative elements is not recognized as a complete creation due to the absence of abstract symbolism or meaning pursued by art. However, it predicts that if qualitative elements such as emotions and creativity are given to artificial intelligence music through human collaboration, it can be recognized as a complete work of art. The development of artificial intelligence technology increases access to culture and art from the public, and it can be expected that anyone can enjoy it as well as aesthetic experiences. In addition, various contents can be produced by improving individual digital literacy, and it is an opportunity to share and communicate with others. As such, artificial intelligence technology serves as a medium connecting the public with culture and art, and is narrowing the gap between humans and technology through art activities. Along with this cultural phenomenon, we predict the possibility of research on the production of artificial intelligence music contents with artistic value and the development of various convergence and complex art contents using artificial intelligence technology in the future.

In this paper, we proposed the content-based music information retrieval technique using some MPEG-7 low-level descriptors. Especially, pitch information and timbral features can be applied in music genre classification, music retrieval, or QBH(Query By Humming) because these can be modeling the stochasticpattern or timbral information of music signal. In this work, we restricted the music domain as O.S.T of movie or soap opera to apply broadcasting system. That is, the user can retrievalthe information of the unknown music using only an audio clip with a few seconds extracted from video content when background music sound greeted user's ear. We proposed the audio feature set organized by MPEG-7 descriptors and distance function by vector distance or ratio computation. Thus, we observed that the feature set organized by pitch information is superior to timbral spectral feature set and IFCR(Intra-Feature Component Ratio) is better than ED(Euclidean Distance) as a vector distance function. Preference for music is determined by a variety of factors, and identifying characteristics that reflect specific factors is important for music recommendations. In this paper, we propose a method to extract the singing voice related music features reflecting various musical characteristics by using a model learned for singer identification. The model can be trained using a music source containing a background accompaniment, but it may provide degraded singer identification performance. In order to mitigate this problem, this study performs a preliminary work to separate the background accompaniment, and creates a data set composed of separated vocals by using the proven model structure that appeared in SiSEC, Signal Separation and Evaluation Campaign. Finally, we use the separated vocals to discover the singing voice related music features that reflect the singer's voice. We compare the effects of source separation against existing methods that use music source without source separation.

Band Wittgenstein is a relatively band-shaped team since Shin Hae-Chul's previous big band "Next." The album, which features Shin Hae-Chul's unique lyrics and specific concepts, is also similar to the Next albums. However, there is a difference in sounds used on the album that are properly fused sampling based work and computer music. This album is a low-budget home recording album produced at a total cost of 3 million won. Shin Hae-Chul was in charge of the main vocals and programming, and all of the works were done together by the band members. In this album, Shin Hae-Chul focused on teamwork rather than producing his own music. The low budget could have been a constraint on music production, but it must be highly appreciated for it being a novel attempt. Musicians who create music always create conflicts between their favorite music and popular ones. However, without creative efforts, there is no evolution or development in the music industry. It is clear that constant changes can continue to develop musical ability, which leads to the development of Korean pop music.

This paper researches the relationship between Youtube K-pop music video views and visual characteristics. K-pop music video, which is the subject of study has intrigued the world since 'Gangnam Style' became Youtube's most viewed video in 2012. This paper questions the existence of element that are related to music video views which is not externally visible and the availability of the discovering the specific element. Previous studies had difficulty in searching the inherent elements of the music video associated with views because they chose a research method that compares music videos based on one or two pieces of work and had a biased result. Therefore, this paper goals to divide nine music videos according to the number of views in three groups and analyze their visual characteristics to find out the differences between the groups and their each features. This paper will contribute to the development of music video field in Youtube market where the number of views is getting more important recently.

With the steady growth of the content industry, the need for research that automatically recommending content suitable for individual tastes is increasing. In order to improve the accuracy of automatic content recommendation, it is needed to fuse existing recommendation techniques using users' preference history for contents along with recommendation techniques using content metadata or features extracted from the content itself. In this work, we propose a new graph-based music recommendation method which learns an LSTM-based classification model to automatically extract appropriate tagging words from sound data and apply the extracted tagging words together with the users' preferred music lists and music metadata to graph-based music recommendation. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms existing recommendation methods in terms of the recommendation accuracy.

Capcom released Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition on January 17, 2018. It also launched STREET FIGHTER 30th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION. This product is a compilation of 12 of the Street Fighter series. The Street Fighter series was refocus by this work. In terms of game musical, Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter V almost used the Street Fighter II's melody. This means that the theme music of each character of Street Fighter 2 has a great influence on the sequel. Therefore, it is expected that analyzing the theme music of the original Street Fighter II will inspire game music composers. As a result of studying series of Street Fighter, the difference of form and genre was remarkable.

This research is the comparative analysis of Jim Hall's master work "Careful" and "Waltz New" who is the most influential guitar player of the present day. I tried to analysis musical inclination and direction comparison with contemporary musicians in this study. Jim Hall wasn't the person who did satisfy with only playing guitar as a famous artist but trying to research and create a new thing continuously with this his music. I am considering that his music has been great implications for contemporary direction.
