Recent recommendation systems are developing toward the utilization of high-dimensional data. However, high-dimensional data can increase algorithm complexity by expanding dimensions and be lower the accuracy of recommended items. In addition, it can cause the problem of data sparsity and make it difficult to provide users with proper recommended items. This study proposed an algorithm that classify users' subjective data with objective criteria with fuzzy-AHP and make use of rules with repetitive patterns through fuzzy association rules. Trying to check how problems with high-dimensional data would be mitigated by the algorithm, we performed 5-fold cross validation according to the changing number of users. The results show that the algorithm-applied system recorded accuracy that was 12.5% higher than that of the fuzzy-AHP-applied system and mitigated the problem of data sparsity.

This paper proposes a hybrid recommendation system (RS) model that overcomes the limitations of traditional approaches such as data sparsity, cold start, and scalability by combining collaborative filtering and context-aware techniques. The objective of this model is to enhance the accuracy of recommendations and provide personalized suggestions by leveraging the strengths of collaborative filtering and incorporating user context features to capture their preferences and behavior more effectively. The approach utilizes a novel method that combines contextual attributes with the original user-item rating matrix of CF-based algorithms. Furthermore, we integrate k-mean++ clustering to group users with similar preferences and finally recommend items that have highly rated by other users in the same cluster. The process of partitioning is the use of the rating matrix into clusters based on contextual information offers several advantages. First, it bypasses of the computations over the entire data, reducing runtime and improving scalability. Second, the partitioned clusters hold similar ratings, which can produce greater impacts on each other, leading to more accurate recommendations and providing flexibility in the clustering process. keywords: Context-aware Recommendation, Collaborative Filtering, Kmean++ Clustering.
The utilization of the e-commerce market has become a common life style in today. It has become important part to know where and how to make reasonable purchases of good quality products for customers. This change in purchase psychology tends to make it difficult for customers to make purchasing decisions in vast amounts of information. In this case, the recommendation system has the effect of reducing the cost of information retrieval and improving the satisfaction by analyzing the purchasing behavior of the customer. Amazon and Netflix are considered to be the well-known examples of sales marketing using the recommendation system. In the case of Amazon, 60% of the recommendation is made by purchasing goods, and 35% of the sales increase was achieved. Netflix, on the other hand, found that 75% of movie recommendations were made using services. This personalization technique is considered to be one of the key strategies for one-to-one marketing that can be useful in online markets where salespeople do not exist. Recommendation techniques that are mainly used in recommendation systems today include collaborative filtering and content-based filtering. Furthermore, hybrid techniques and association rules that use these techniques in combination are also being used in various fields. Of these, collaborative filtering recommendation techniques are the most popular today. Collaborative filtering is a method of recommending products preferred by neighbors who have similar preferences or purchasing behavior, based on the assumption that users who have exhibited similar tendencies in purchasing or evaluating products in the past will have a similar tendency to other products. However, most of the existed systems are recommended only within the same category of products such as books and movies. This is because the recommendation system estimates the purchase satisfaction about new item which have never been bought yet using customer's purchase rating points of a similar commodity based on the transaction data. In addition, there is a problem about the reliability of purchase ratings used in the recommendation system. Reliability of customer purchase ratings is causing serious problems. In particular, 'Compensatory Review' refers to the intentional manipulation of a customer purchase rating by a company intervention. In fact, Amazon has been hard-pressed for these "compassionate reviews" since 2016 and has worked hard to reduce false information and increase credibility. The survey showed that the average rating for products with 'Compensated Review' was higher than those without 'Compensation Review'. And it turns out that 'Compensatory Review' is about 12 times less likely to give the lowest rating, and about 4 times less likely to leave a critical opinion. As such, customer purchase ratings are full of various noises. This problem is directly related to the performance of recommendation systems aimed at maximizing profits by attracting highly satisfied customers in most e-commerce transactions. In this study, we propose the possibility of using new indicators that can objectively substitute existing customer 's purchase ratings by using RFM multi-dimensional analysis technique to solve a series of problems. RFM multi-dimensional analysis technique is the most widely used analytical method in customer relationship management marketing(CRM), and is a data analysis method for selecting customers who are likely to purchase goods. As a result of verifying the actual purchase history data using the relevant index, the accuracy was as high as about 55%. This is a result of recommending a total of 4,386 different types of products that have never been bought before, thus the verification result means relatively high accuracy and utilization value. And this study suggests the possibility of general recommendation system that can be applied to various offline product data. If additional data is acquired in the future, the accuracy of the proposed recommendation system can be improved.
Collaborative Filtering is one of the most used recommender systems. However, basically it cannot be used to recommend new products to customers because it finds products only based on the purchasing history of each customer. In order to cope with this shortcoming, many researchers have proposed the hybrid recommender system, which is a combination of collaborative filtering and content-based filtering. Content-based filtering recommends the products whose attributes are similar to those of the products that the target customers prefer. However, the hybrid method is used only for the limited categories of products such as music and movie, which are the products whose attributes are easily extracted. Therefore it is essential to find a more effective approach to recommend to customers new products in any category. In this study, we propose a new recommendation method which applies centrality concept widely used to analyze the relational and structural characteristics in social network analysis. The new products are recommended to the customers who are highly likely to buy the products, based on the analysis of the relationships among products by using centrality. The recommendation process consists of following four steps; purchase similarity analysis, product network construction, centrality analysis, and new product recommendation. In order to evaluate the performance of this proposed method, sales data from H department store, one of the well.known department stores in Korea, is used.

The purchase of items in e-commerce is a little bit different from that of items in off-line. The recommendation of items in off-line is conducted by salespersons' recommendation, However, the item recommendation in e-commerce cannot be recommended by salespersons, and so different types of methods can be recommended in e-commerce. Recommender system is a method which recommends items in e-commerce. Preferences of customers who want to purchase new items can be predicted by the preferences of customers purchasing existing items. In the recommender system, the items with estimated high preferences can be recommended to customers. The algorithm of collaborative filtering is used in recommender system of e-commerce, and the list of recommended items is made by estimated values, and then the list is recommended to customers. The dataset used in this research are 100k dataset and 1 million dataset in Movielens dataset. Similar results in two dataset are deducted for generalization. To suggest a new algorithm, distribution features of estimated values are analyzed by the existing algorithm and transformed algorithm. In addition, respondent'distribution features are analyzed respectively. To improve the collaborative filtering algorithm in neighborhood recommender system, a new algorithm method is suggested on the basis of existing algorithm and transformed algorithm.
With the advancement of wireless technology and the rapid growth of the infrastructure of mobile communication technology, systems applying AI-based platforms are drawing attention from users. In particular, the system that understands users' tastes and interests and recommends preferred items is applied to advanced e-commerce customized services and smart homes. However, there is a problem that these recommendation systems are difficult to reflect in real time the preferences of various users for tastes and interests. In this research, we propose a Fuzzy-AHP-based movies recommendation system using the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) language model to address a problem. In this system, we apply Fuzzy-AHP to reflect users' tastes or interests in real time. We also apply GRU language model-based models to analyze the public interest and the content of the film to recommend movies similar to the user's preferred factors. To validate the performance of this recommendation system, we measured the suitability of the learning model using scraping data used in the learning module, and measured the rate of learning performance by comparing the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) language model with the learning time per epoch. The results show that the average cross-validation index of the learning model in this work is suitable at 94.8% and that the learning performance rate outperforms the LSTM language model.

To promote recommendation services through prediction quality, some privacy-preserving collaborative filtering solutions are proposed to make e-commerce parties collaborate on partitioned data. It is almost probable that two parties hold ratings for the same users and items simultaneously; however, existing two-party privacy-preserving collaborative filtering solutions do not cover such overlaps. Since rating values and rated items are confidential, overlapping ratings make privacy-preservation more challenging. This study examines how to estimate predictions privately based on partitioned data with overlapped entries between two e-commerce companies. We consider both user-based and item-based collaborative filtering approaches and propose novel privacy-preserving collaborative filtering schemes in this sense. We also evaluate our schemes using real movie dataset, and the empirical outcomes show that the parties can promote collaborative services using our schemes.

According to the expansion of smartphone penetration and development of wearable device, personal context information can be easily collected. To use this information, the context aware recommender system has been actively studied. The key issue in this field is how to deal with the context information, as users are influenced by different contexts while rating items. But measuring the similarity among contexts is not a trivial task. To solve this problem, we propose context aware post-filtering to apply the context compensation. To be specific, we calculate the compensation for different context information by measuring their average. After reflecting the compensation of the rating data, the mechanism recommends the items to the user. Based on the item recommendation list, we recover the rating score considering the context information. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we use the real movie rating dataset. Experimental evaluation shows that our proposed method outperforms several state-of-the-art approaches.
