제한된 서브블록을 이용한 고속 움직임 추정 알고리즘 (Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm Using Limited Sub-blocks)

  • 정합 블록의 모든 화소가 블록 정합에 동등하게 기여하지 않고, 정합 오차는 영상 복잡도의 영향을 크게 받는다. 이런 사실을 근거로 본 논문에서 영상의 복잡도에 의해 선택되는 일부 서브블록만을 이용한 고속 움직임 추정 알고리즘을 제한한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 정합 블록을 16개의 서브블록으로 나누고, 각 서브블록의 영상 복잡도를 계산하고, 일부 복잡한 서브블록만을 사용하여 부분 블록 정합을 수행하여 움직임 벡터를 검출한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안된 알고리즘이 기존 탐색 알고리즘과 비교하여 무시할 수 있을 정도의 화질 저하를 야기하지만 상당한 계산량을 줄여주는 것을 보여준다.

Fire Detection using Color and Motion Models

  • This paper presents a fire detection algorithm using color and motion models from video sequences. The proposed method detects change in color and motion of overall regions for detecting fire, and thus, it can be implemented in both fixed and pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras. The proposed algorithm consists of three parts. The first part exploits color models of flames and smoke. The candidate regions in the video frames are extracted with the hue-saturation-value (HSV) color model. The second part models the motion information of flames and smoke. Optical flow in the fire candidate region is estimated, and the spatial-temporal distribution of optical flow vectors is analyzed. The final part accumulates the probability of fire in successive video frames, which reduces false-positive errors when fire-like color objects appear. Experimental results from 100 fire videos are shown, where various types of smoke and flames appear in indoor and outdoor environments. According to the experiments and the comparison, the proposed fire detection algorithm works well in various situations, and outperforms the conventional algorithms.

Hybride PIV에 의한 단일입자/기포운동에 관한 연구 (Flow Characteristics in a Particle/Bubble Motion with Hybride PIV)

  • As the first step to investigate the fundamental mechanism of a dispersed two-phase flow, we studied the detailed interactions between bubble or particle motion and flow around it. Experiments were carried out with a rising bubble or particle in stagnant water in a vertical pipe. Particles with different densities, and/or different shapes were used for comparison with a bubble. We adopted 3D-PTV (Three-Dimensional Particle Tracking Velocimetry) for measuring the bubble or particle motions, and PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) for measuring the water flow simultaneously (Hybrid PIV). The experimental results showed that the oblate spheroidal solid particle rose along the longer axis direction at the point that the inclination of the longer axis reached the maximum, and the inclination direction changed after moving. The bubble moved to the direction that the spheroid's projected width grew up to the largest, and the minor axis of the oblate spheroidal body of the bubble was parallel to the moving direction. The trajectory of the center of the particle/bubble which was measured with 3D-PTV, was marked on the section (x-y) of the pipe. It exhibited the pattern of the particle/bubble motion.

  • In order to figure out the physical meaning of 3-D angular flow index for in-cylinder bulk motion, CFD analysis for the swirl and tumble steady flow test rig were made using commercial package STAR-CD. Computer simulations and rig tests on some kinds of induced flow conditions were carried out. Finally, based on the comparison between the simulated results and measured results, the physical meaning of 3-D angular flow index $|\longrightarrow_{N_B}|$, $\beta$ composed of swirl and tumble coefficients measured by steady flow test rig was described.

영화 유형별 영화 흥행 성과 예측 요인의 비교 연구: 예술 영화와 상업 영화 비교를 중심으로 (A Comparison Study of the Determinants of Performance of Motion Pictures: Art Film vs. Commercial Film)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 영화 흥행 성과 예측 모형을 예술 영화와 상업 영화 각각에 적용하여 영화 유형별 상이한 예측 요인을 비교 분석하는 것이다. 이에 따라 예술 영화와 상업 영화 각각에 대해 영화 흥행 성과 예측 모형을 적용한 결과, 두 회귀식은 구조적으로 다른 것으로 검증되었다. 보다 구체적으로, 두 회귀식의 회귀계수의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 스크린수, 관객 평가, 장르는 예술 영화와 상업 영화 모두에 영향을 미치는 흥행요인으로 나타났다. 그러나 감독 명성, 상영등급, 전문가 평가, 배급사 영향력, 영화 제작국, 그리고 개봉 시기는 예술 영화의 흥행 성과에 대해서만 유의한 예측 변수로 검증되었다.

  • This paper studied on the lateral motion and yaw motion of the gantry crane that is used for the automated container terminal. Though several problems are occurred in driving of the gantry crane, they are solved by the motion by the operators. But, if the gantry crane is unmanned, it is automatically controlled without any operator. There are two types, cone and flat type in driving wheel shape. In cone type, the lateral vibration and yaw motion of crane are issued. In flat type, the collision between wheel-flange and rail or the fitting between wheel-flanges and rail is issued. Especially, the collision between wheel-flange and rail is a very critical problem in driving of unmanned gantry crane. To bring a solution to the problems, the lateral and yaw dynamic equations of the driving mechanism of two driving wheels are derived. Then, we investigate the driving characteristics of gantry crane. In this study, the proposed controller, based on Model Based Controller, is used to control the lateral displacement and yaw angle of the gantry crane. And the availability of the proposed controller is showed through the comparison with the result of the proposed controller and PD controller. The simulation results of the driving mechanism, using the Runge-Kutta Method that is one of the numerical analysis methods, are presented in this paper.

Combination resonances in forced vibration of spar-type floating substructure with nonlinear coupled system in heave and pitch motion

  • A spar-type floating substructure that is being widely used for offshore wind power generation is vulnerable to resonance in the heave direction because of its small water plane area. For this reason, the stable dynamic response of this floating structure should be ensured by accurately identifying the resonance characteristics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the combination resonance between the excitation frequency of a regular wave and natural frequencies of the floating substructure. First, the nonlinear equations of motion with two degrees of freedom are derived by assuming that the floating substructure is a rigid body, where the heaving motion and pitching motions are coupled. Moreover, to identify the characteristics of the combination resonance, the nonlinear term in the nonlinear equations is approximated up to the second order using the Taylor series expansion. Furthermore, the validity of the approximate model is confirmed through a comparison with the results of a numerical analysis which is made by applying the commercial software ANSYS AQWA to the full model. The result indicates that the combination resonance occurs at the frequencies of ${\omega}{\pm}{\omega}_5$ and $2{\omega}_{n5}$ between the excitation frequency (${\omega}$) of a regular wave and the natural frequency of the pitching motion (${\omega}_{n5}$) of the floating substructure.

경추의 전신조정술 관절치료가 관절가동범위에 미치는 영향 (The effect of motion according to general coordination manipulation treatment on cervical)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to search effect that GCM joint treatment gets to range of motion of cervical, lumbar, trunk and anke. And cervical gets in ankle joint. Methods: Estimated body deformity using GCM body type assesment chart then measured range of motion of each region. After control group did as act freely after do experiment pre measurement control group did post measurement. After control group did as act freely after do experiment premeasurement, control group did postmeasurement. Each region was measured by measurer who each subject person differs. Experimental group did GCM joint treatment and all measurements each region by measurer who each subject person differs three times measure postmeasurement after premeasurement. When measure with each measurement, measured after leave and walk time interval for 10 minutes. Result: For the analysis of the result of experiment, the results is change amount comparison increased to keep in mind except cervical flexion and both ankle joint's dorsiflexion after experiment of experimental group. In experimental group, cervical, lumber and ankle joint of range of motion was significantly increased(p<.05).

유한요소법을 이용한 파랑 중 선박운동의 시간영역 해석기법 개발 (Time Domain Analysis of Ship Motion in Waves Using Finite Element Method)

  • The three-dimensional ship motion with forward speed was solved by a finite element method in the time domain. A boundary value problem was described in the frame of a fixed-body reference, and the problem was formulated according to Double-Body and Neumann-Kelvin linearizations. Laplace's equation with boundary conditions was solved by a classical finite element method based on the weak formulation. Chebyshev filtering was used to get rid of an unwanted saw-tooth wave and a wave damping zone was adopted to impose a numerical radiation condition. The time marching of the free surface was performed by the 4th order Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method. Wigley I and Wigely III models were considered for numerical validation. The hydrodynamic coefficients and wave exciting forces were validated by a comparison with experimental data and the numerical results of the Wigley I. The effects of the linearization are also discussed. The motion RAO was also checked with a Wigley III model through mono-chromatic and multi-chromatic regular waves.

승용 자동차 조종장치 스테레오타입 조사를 위한 설문조사와 실물 시뮬레이션 방법 비교 (Comparison of Paper-Pencil and Hardware Tests for Investigating Stereotypes for Controls of Passenger Cars)

  • The purposes of this study are to survey stereotypes of control-display relationships for seven principal controls in passenger cars using the paper-pencil and hardware tests, and to examine stereotype strength of the paper-pencil test through comparing the stereotypes for the controls derived by the two methods. Ninety two and 60 college-aged students participated in the paper-pencil test and the real car simulation of the hardware test, respectively. There are dominant motion-directions for all controls in the paper-pencil test, while in the hardware test, there are dominant motion-directions for six controls including head light, high beam, door window, ignition key, door key and door lock controls. The stereotypes of motion-directions for six controls obtained by the paper-pencil test were the same as or similar to those by the hardware test. It was inferred from this that the congruence of the stereotypes by the two methods might be attributed to two simple motion-direction principles of 'clockwise for increase' and 'upward for increase.' Although it is known that the hardware test would be best for obtaining accurate stereotypes between controls and displays, this study implies that if the paper-pencil test is well designed, the paper-pencil test can produce the same results as the hardware test at low cost and without consuming time.
