LAI(Library Assited Instruction) distinguished from classroom instruction viewpoint of use of school libraries's material and collaborative with teacher librarian. Thus LAI must be emphasized student's information activities and teacher librarian's support activities. This study is supposed to LAI model (information presentation-guide type, information search-organization type. information analysis Interpretation type, information synthesis-representation type, information query-projects type, information query-discussion type) based on student's information activities. The student's information activities were derived from the model of information use process. The Model of proposed LAI is constructed the role of classroom teacher, teacher librarian, student and the process of LAI process.

STEP AP218 has a standard schema to represent the structural model of a midship section. While it helps to exchange ship structural models among heterogeneous automation systems, most shipyards and classification societies still exchange information using 2D paper drawings. We propose a feature parameter input method to generate a 3D STEP model of a ship structure from 2D drawings. We have analyzed the ship structure information contained in 2D drawings and have defined a data model to express the contents of the drawing. We also developed a QUI for the feature parameter input. To translate 2D information extracted from the drawing into a STEP AP2l8 model, we have developed a shape generation library, and generated the 3D ship model through this library. The generated 3D STEP model of a ship structure can be used to exchange information between design departments in a shipyard as well as between classification societies and shipyards.

BIM(Building Information Modeling) based design process can initiatively conduct a task through all phases from early design step to construction and maintenance step. Also BIM efficiently manage the building's energy by reflecting 3D design and construction life cycle. This paper proposes an efficient process to build AHU's BIM-based library. This study involves analyzing an AHU model for development of design module, and making the template model using the same 12 parts including the shapes of ducts, doors and frames. In consideration of each shape's direction and the status of existence, which are detailed shapes of parts upon making the template model, all the shapes of the AHU model can be expressed. By applying parametric modeling to the template model, a quick and precise modification and transformation can be conducted, thus the efficiency is enhanced. A user selects an AHU model from a 2D model selection program, and extracts shape information. The final AHU shape is completed through the automation work of unnecessary shape deletion by bringing the extracted shape information to the template model. This enables the user to build efficient AHU's BIM-based library, since the quick and precise modification and transformation of the template model are possibile, and all AHU model shapes can be expressed.

This study compare and analyzes recent school library standards in advanced countries including Britain, United States and Japan. The examination is based on the changing process of standards and development of school library in the each countries. To Suggest the model of reasonable standard for the activation of school library in Korea, the study has identified the common elements ; staff, material, environments, management and cooperative system, and learning skill with curriculum of school library standards showed in the each of advanced countries.

As growing internet, the knowledge management system(KMS) is newly introduced in business. And the KMS is very similar with traditional library. By grafting the KMS on the library, to input effectively in production line the knowledge that is important to knowledge society as a production factor, it is necessary to unificate with KMS and library. This study analyzed nineteen best-practices (161 sub-programs) regarding school library media program. The authors conducted content analysis based on The Library Media Specialist's Taxonomy and the CIPP Model. In the analysis of taxonomy showing the degree of involvement of librarian teachers, Level Seven indicating a concerted effort to promote school library program was the most important (37.6%). Among the ten levels of taxonomy, the highest level (levels 6 to 10, high involvement of librarians) accounted for 65.9%. According to the analysis of the CIPP Model, (Context) most of the excellent programs were aimed at reading education (41.5%) and library use education (11.3%), and more than half (53.8%) cases were initiated by learners' needs. (Input) excellence programs employed various teaching materials and were operated at fixed time. (Process) the programs were run in a variety of ways, mainly with reading instruction (30.4%) and cultural activities (17.3%). (Product) As a fruit of programs, students and parents' satisfaction, students' achievement, self-confidence, and self-improvement were reported.

This study is focusing on the establishment of knowledge management framework of library, supposed that library becomes an integrated knowledge system offering various types of knowledge. Knowledge management of library based on knowledge ecology justifies the logical and physical roles of library, as the sustainer of the knowledge ecosystem in which all the types of social factors consisting of knowledge ecosystem are Interacting to continuously circulate knowledge. The library as the center of knowledge ecosystem should make sure the systemized environment in which knowledge producer is supported to timely distribute knowledge to knowledge consumer through information professional accomplishing the role of knowledge facilitator.

The changes of university entrance system which is affecting public library management and services, and current situation of private education market were analyzed for this study. It was revealed that we have several competitive forces that determine library service justification in Korean service environment(market) which has not experienced in the developed countries. The elements of private education may drive competition in the book reading service industry. Such elements effectuate serious problems and discourage library service marketing to the user. For a sustainable competitive advantage, English language collection and reading program model was developed for library marketing strategies(as applying leverage).

The purpose of this study is to suggest knowledge-based digital library model that is applicable in korea university library. This paper provides brief accounts of research and development trends of digital library in referring some major digital library projects that are in progress, or just completed. There follows a suggestion of eight essential modules for knowledge-based digital library system, that are infrastructure development of dissertation presentation and database construction, management and service of collections, infrastructure construction of journal service, development of unified viewer, database conversion, distributed & integrated retrieval system, cyber campus(private work space), and database connection.

In architecture projects, BIM library has widely been using for prefabrication of products and design process. However, since the shape of structures is different by each project in civil engineering projects and a shape representation system is complicated, it is not easy to develop a standardized BIM library. To solve these issues, this study develops BIM library based on standardized 2D shop drawings for civil structures. The standardized shop drawings, which are the targets of the BIM library model, should be first selected. Besides, in order to define modeling scope with the level of general and shop drawings for each structure, LOD(Level of Detail) and breakdown structure are determined, and development methods of families of 3D object type including 2D profile and rebar through commercial software are established. With these, properties of BIM library are configured, and a utilization model of the BIM libraries is constructed for 3D modeling and a simulation using the BIM library. Therefore, this study can identify properties that are necessary when IFC schema is configured for civil engineering projects. For future, it is expected that easiness of BIM design for the civil engineering projects and generation, management, and analysis system of BIM library for road projects will be secured.
