Production Techniques for Mobile Motion Pictures base on Smart Phone (스마트폰 시장 확대에 따른 모바일 동영상 편집 기법 연구)

  • Because of development of information technology, moving picture can run various platforms. We should consider and apply users' attitude as well as production technique because convergence between mobile and media technology may be increased full-browsing service using mobile device. Previous research related to production technique in various platforms only focus on video quality and adjustment of screen size. However, besides of technical side, production techniques should be changed such as image production as well as image editing by point of view aesthetic. Mise-en-scene such as camera angle, composition, and lighting is changed due to HD image. Also image production should be changed to a suitable full-browsing service using mobile device. Therefore, we would explore a new suitable production techniques and image editing for smart phone. To propose production techniques for smart phone, we used E-learning production system, which are transition, editing technique for suitable converting system. Such as new attempts are leading to new paradigm and establishing their position by applying characteries such as openness, timeliness to mobile. Also it can be extended individual area and established as expression and play tool.

Factors Affecting User Satisfaction of Mobile Social Network Games: Focusing on the Quality and Self-determination (모바일 소셜 네트워크 게임 이용만족에 영향을 미치는 요인: 품질과 자기결정성 요인을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate and identify what factors influence the satisfaction of the users for the fast-growing social network game based on the mobile. To this end, we looked around the variable product characteristic factor, quality and the consumer characteristic factor, user self-determination. Also we surveyed 211 male and female college students. The first finding was that all the sub-factors of the quality factor had positive effects on the satisfaction of the mobile social network games. The second finding was that all the sub-factors of the self-determination factor had positive effects on the satisfaction of the mobile social network games. The third finding was that only the sub-factors of quality had positive relative effects on the satisfaction of the mobile social network games, in the order of playfulness, usability, functionality from the most to the least. The findings of this study are expected to offer meaningful and practical suggestions for the development of high quality game contents for the user convenience, as well as the academic significance, the expansion of game-related area of research through the break from the traditional research trends, technology and engineering point of view and from the PC-based online game.

Performance improvement for Streaming of High Capacity Panoramic Video (대용량 파노라마 비디오 스트리밍의 성능개선)

  • When providing high quality panoramic video across the Internet, mobile communications, and broadcasting areas, it requires a suitable video codec that satisfies both high-compression efficiency and random access functionality. The users must have high-compression efficiency in order to enable video streaming of high-volume panoramic data. Random access allows the user to move the viewpoint and direction freely. In this paper, we propose the parallel processing scheme under cell units in order to improve the performance of streaming service for large screen panoramic video in 10Mbps bandwidths based on H.264/AVC with high compression rate. This improved algorithm divides a screen composed of cells less than $256{\times}256$ in size, encodes it, and decodes it with the cells in the present view. At this point, encoding/decoding is parallel processed by the present cell units. Also, since the cells only included in the present view are packed and transmitted, the possible processing of not extricating blocks is proven by experiment.

Generation of Stage Tour Contents with Deep Learning Style Transfer (딥러닝 스타일 전이 기반의 무대 탐방 콘텐츠 생성 기법)

  • Recently, as interest in non-face-to-face experiences and services increases, the demand for web video contents that can be easily consumed using mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets is rapidly increasing. To cope with these requirements, in this paper we propose a technique to efficiently produce video contents that can provide experience of visiting famous places (i.e., stage tour) in animation or movies. To this end, an image dataset was established by collecting images of stage areas using Google Maps and Google Street View APIs. Afterwards, a deep learning-based style transfer method to apply the unique style of animation videos to the collected street view images and generate the video contents from the style-transferred images was presented. Finally, we showed that the proposed method could produce more interesting stage-tour video contents through various experiments.

Clustering-based Cooperative Routing using OFDM for Supporting Transmission Efficiency in Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (모바일 무선 센서네트워크에서 전송 효율 향상을 지원하기 위한 OFDM을 사용한 클러스터링 기반의 협력도움 라우팅)

  • In this paper, we propose a Clustering-based Cooperative Routing using OFDM (CCRO) for supporting transmission efficiency in mobile wireless sensor networks. The main features and contributions of the proposed method are as follows. First, the clustering method which uses the location information of nodes as underlying infrastructure for supporting stable transmission services efficiently is used. Second, cluster-based cooperative data transmission method is used for improving data transmission and reliability services. Third, OFDM based data transmission method is used for improving data transmission ratio with channel efficiency. Fourth, we consider realistic approach in the view points of the mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks while conventional methods just consider fixed sensor network environments. The performance evaluation of the proposed method is performed via simulation using OPNET and theoretical analysis. The results of performance evaluation show improvement of transmission efficiency.

  • In this paper, we propose an entropy-based dynamic routing protocol for supporting effective route stability in mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks(MAWSN). The basic ideas and features are as follows. First, construction of entropy-based stable routing route using mobility of nodes between a source node and a destination node. Second, usage of location and direction information for route construction to support resource saving. Third, We consider a realistic approach, in the points of view of the MAWSN, based on mobile sensor nodes as well as fixed sensor nodes in sensor fields while the conventional research for sensor networks focus on mainly fixed sensor nodes. The performance evaluation of the proposed routing protocol is performed via simulation using OPNET. The simulation results show the proposed routing protocol can effectively support route stability and packet delivery ratio.

  • With technological development of product designs, products of various concepts have been developed and products by customized design concepts have been actively launched. For successful development, it is necessary to convey the target concept to the product development process exactly in order to create the targeting design. The study found the design concept of mobile phones with a boom box through emotional verbal expression, and defined the concept target by using visual images in accordance with the relative target with a view to looking for the design concept suitable to product development target. Regarding the visual image, the test for coordination among participants was conducted to select the image on which the interest groups participating in the development reach an agreement. As a result of the test, it aimed to propose the method to select concepts and images for rational choice by means of clustering algorithms. This method is considered to contribute to building the design concept and actualizing GUI design.

  • Products and/or services should be objectively verified in terms of the technological and use-conditional considerations before entering a market. Every organization or company tries to find the better procedure and method for checking the core needs of customers based on their experience in the market and looks for continuous ways to evaluate the power of products and services(PoP). They also prefer the overall evaluation of indices that could reflect various customer needs, rather than a separate evaluation index for each characteristic of the product or service. S. Ko (2008) proposes a Multi-characteristics Sigma Level(MSL) that can simultaneously evaluate many characteristics of a product or service. In this research, using MSL and a new Blue Ocean Index(BOI), an application of NPS, mobile phone field test is considered from a practical and statistical point of view.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a methodology to effectively produce the e-learning contents in two platform types of PC based and mobile based platforms. Currently, the compatibility problem of flash technology widely used in the e-learning content production of existing PC based platform not supporting flash in some mobile platforms is being created while the condition of accompanying inconvenience in learning due to small screen and difference of input interface is being created in case of using the contents for PC even in case of the mobile platforms in which flash is supported. Considering this situation, this study is presenting a content development methodology that can provide services in both platform types based on standard technologies such as HTML 5. In conclusion, the methodology proposed in this study separates the content and the view of learning contents while supporting to enable content implementation using various forms of views based on the content database that has been constructed to show very efficiently characteristics in the content reuse and the multi platform support categories.

Consumers' Perception on the Allocation Policy of 700MHz Band for Efficient Broadcasting Environment (700MHz대역 주파수 분배정책에 대한 소비자인식)

  • This study surveys and discusses that to what extent consumers are understanding the benefits and which purpose of use they support more regarding the 700 MHz frequency band allocation for mobile communication use as well as public terrestrial UHD TV broadcasting use. The results of this study can be summarized as follow. First, consumers perceive not only advantages but disadvantages for the decision that 700 MHz frequency band is divided and utilized for both mobile communication and UHD TV broadcasting use. Second, 43% of consumers (the largest portion of opinions) say that they support government's final decision of 700 MHz frequency band allocation, which can be interpreted that government's long term discussion and final decision of frequency allocation policy is favorably accepted by the majority of consumers. The importance of this study is to survey consumers' perception of government's 700 MHz band frequency allocation policy from impartial point of view from either communication or broadcasting interest.
