아세토나이트릴 가스 검지를 위한 센스의 제작 및 특성 (Characteristics of metal-loaded TiO2/SnO2 thick film gas sensor for detecting acetonitrile)

  • Pt, Pd, In 등의 촉매금속을 사용하여 아세토나이트릴 유독가스에 대한 감도를 향상시키는 SnO2 가스센스에 대하여 연구하였다. Metal-SnO2 후막은 백금전극이 내장된 알루미나 지지체의 스크린법으로 제작되었다. 본 센서의 특성은 검출가스의 농도의 함수로 반응기내 각센서의 전기적 저항을 측정하여 조사하였으며, 10-50ppm 범위의 유독가스 농도에 대하여 검지 측정하였다. 그 결과 촉매금속의 종류에 따라 센서에서 반응하는 감도가 각각 다르게 선택성을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Preparation of Co3O4/NF Anode for Lithium-ion Batteries

  • Due to its characteristics of light weight, high energy density, good safety, long service life, no memory effect, and environmental friendliness, lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are widely used in various portable electronic products. The capacity and performance of LIBs largely depend on the performance of electrode materials. Therefore, the development of better positive and negative materials is the focus of current research. The application of metal organic framework materials (MOFs) derivatives in energy storage has attracted much attention and research. Using MOFs as precursors, porous metal oxides and porous carbon materials with controllable structure can be obtained. In this paper, rod-shaped Co-MOF-74 was grown on Ni Foam (NF) by hydrothermal method, and then Co-MOF-74/NF precursor was heat-treated to obtain rodshaped Co3O4/NF. Ni Foam was skeleton structured, which effectively relieved. The change of internal stress changes and destroys the structural volume of the electrode material and reduces the capacity attenuation. Co3O4/NF composite material has a specific discharge capacity of up to 1858 mA h/g for the first time, and a reversible capacity of up to 902.4 mA h/g at a current density of 200 mA/g, and has excellent rate and impedance performance. The synthesis strategy reported in this article opens the way to design high-performance electrodes for energy storage and electrochemical catalysis.

Voight 함수를 이용한 MAS-NMR 스펙트럼 시뮬레이션 (The Simulation of MAS-NMR Spectrum by the Voight Lineshape)

  • Gauss 함수와 Lorentz 함수의 convolution인 Voight 함수를 혼합 알칼리 유리, 전이금속 산화물을 첨가시킨 유리 등의 MAS-NMR 스펙트럼의 시뮬레이션에 적용시켜 보았다. Gauss와 Lorentz의 convolution은 적분할 수 없으므로 어떤 형태를 갖는 Voight 함수는 없다. 그래서 컴퓨터를 이용한 개념적(원시적) 적분 방법으로 각 진동수에 대하여 Voight 함수 값을 얻었고, 그것은 MAS-NMR 스펙트럼과 매우 잘 일치하였다. 이 과정에서 MAS-NMR lineshape의 변화(Gauss에서 Lorentz lineshape으로의 변화 또는 그 반대)를 알 수 있다. 그러므로 다음과 같은 경우는 주의해야 할 것으로 생각된다. 유리의 구조, 전도 기구 또는 혼합 알칼리 효과 등을 연구하기 위해 NMR 스펙트럼을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 할 때 NMR 스펙트럼의 lineshape을 Gauss 함수 꼴로 가정해서 수행하는 경우가 대부분인데 이때 주의해야 할 것이다. 왜냐하면, NMR 스펙트럼 선 모양이 실제로는 Voight 함수 형태로 나타날 수 있기 때문이다.

Ni/SiO2-Al2O3 복합 산화물 촉매 상에서 에탄올의 직접 아민화 반응에 의한 선택적 아세토니트릴 합성 (Selective Synthesis of Acetonitrile via Direct Amination of Ethanol Over Ni/SiO2-Al2O3 Mixed Oxide Catalysts)

  • Si/(Si + Al) 몰비를 30 몰%까지 변화시켜 제조한 SiO2-Al2O3 복합 산화물(SA) 상에 니켈을 함침법으로 제조한 촉매 상에서 에탄올의 아민화반응에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 제조된 촉매의 물리·화학적 특성을 알아보기 위하여 X-선 회절분석(XRD), N2 흡착분석, 이소프로판올 승온탈착(IPA-TPD), 에탄올 승온탈착(EtOH-TPD), 수소 승온환원(H2-TPR), H2 화학흡착, 투과전자현미경(TEM) 분석을 수행하였다. SA 복합 산화물 상에서 Si/(Si + Al) = 30 몰%가 될 때까지 지속적으로 산점이 증가하였다. 담지된 Ni 금속의 분산도, 비표면적 및 산 특성 등이 촉매 반응활성에 복합적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 산점 증가와 니켈 산화물의 낮은 환원 온도는 아세토니트릴 생성에 유리하게 작용하는 것으로 사료된다. 에탄올의 전환율 측면에서는 10 wt% Ni이 담지된 Si/(Si + Al) = 10 몰% 촉매가 가장 높은 전환율을 보였으며 이를 기준으로 화산형 형태를 나타냈고, Ni 금속 분산도와 경향이 일치했다.

Visible Light Driven ZnFe2Ta2O9 Catalyzed Decomposition of H2S for Solar Hydrogen Production

  • Tantalum-containing metal oxides, well known for their efficiency in water splitting and H2 production, have never been used in visible light driven photodecomposition of H2S and H2 production. The present work is an attempt in this direction and investigates their efficiency. A mixed metal oxide, ZnFe2Ta2O9, with the inclusion of Fe2O3 to impart color, was prepared by the conventional ceramic route in single- and double-calcinations (represented as ZnFe2Ta2O9-SC and ZnFe2Ta2O9-DC respectively). The XRD characterization shows that both have identical patterns and reveals tetragonal structure to a major extent and a minor contribution of orthorhombic crystalline system. The UV-visible diffuse reflection spectra demonstrate the intense, coherent and wide absorption of visible light by both the catalysts, with absorption edge at 650 nm, giving rise to a band gap of 1.9 eV. Between the two catalysts, however, ZnFe2Ta2O9-DC has greater absorption in almost the entire wavelength region, which accounts for its strong brown coloration than ZnFe2Ta2O9-SC when viewed by the naked eye. In photocatalysis, both catalysts decompose H2S under visible light irradiation (λ ≥ 420 nm) and produce solar H2 at a much higher rate than previously reported catalysts. Nevertheless, ZnFe2Ta2O9-DC distinguishes itself from ZnFe2Ta2O9-SC by exhibiting a higher efficiency because of its greater light absorption. Altogether, the tantalum-containing mixed metal oxide proves its efficient catalytic role in H2S decomposition and H2 production process also.

P123-Templated Co3O4/Al2O3 Mesoporous Mixed Oxides for Epoxidation of Styrene

  • $Co_3O_4$, $Al_2O_3$ and $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ mesoporous powders were prepared by a sol-gel method with starting matierals of aluminum isopropoxide and cobalt (II) nitrate. A P123 template is employed as an active organic additive for improving the specific surface area of the mixed oxide by forming surfactant micelles. A transition metal cobalt oxide supported on alumina with and without P123 was tested to find the most active and selective conditions as a heterogeneous catalyst in the reaction of styrene epoxidation. A bBlock copolymer-P123 template was added to the staring materials to control physical and chemical properties. The properties of $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ powder with and without P123 were characterized using an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), a Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM), a Bruner-Emmertt-Teller (BET) surface analyzer, and $^{27}Al$ MAS NMR spectroscopy. Powders with and without P123 were compared in catalytic tests. The catalytic activity and selectivity were monitored by GC/MS, $^1H$, and $^{13}C$-NMR spectroscopy. The performance for the reaction of epoxidation of styrene was observed to be in the following order: [$Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ with P123-1173 K > $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ with P123-973 K > $Co_3O_4$-973 K>$Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$-973 K > $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ with P123-1473 K > $Al_2O_3$-973 K]. The existence of ${\gamma}$-alumina and the nature of the surface morphology are related to catalytic activity.

La이 도핑된 CuO-ZnO-Al2O3 복합 산화물의 합성공정개발 (Development and Synthesis of La Doped CuO-ZnO-Al2O3 Mixed Oxide)

  • La doped CuO-ZnO-$Al_2O_3$ powders are prepared by sol-gel method with aluminum isopropoxide and primary distilled water as precursor and solvent. In this synthesized process, the obtained metal oxides caused the precursor such as copper (II) nitrate hydrate and zinc (II) nitrate hexahydrate were added. To improve the surface areas of La doped CuO-ZnO-$Al_2O_3$ powder, sorbitan (z)-mono-9-octadecenoate (Span 80) was added. The synthesized powder was calcined at various temperatures. The dopant was found to affect the surface area and particle size of the mixed oxide, in conjunction with the calcined temperature. The structural analysis and textual properties of the synthesized powder were measured with an X-ray Diffractometer (XRD), a Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM), Bruner-Emmett-Teller surface analysis (BET), Thermogravimetry-Differential Thermal analysis (TG/DTA), $^{27}Al$ solid state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and transform infrared microspectroscopy (FT-IR). An increase of surface area with Span 80 was observed on La doped CuO-ZnO-$Al_2O_3$ powders from $25m^2$/g to $41m^2$/g.

논토양 종류가 메탄배출에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Soil Types on Methane Gas Emission in Paddy During Rice Cultivation)

  • 논토양 종류가 메탄배출에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 적황색토인 화동통과 회색토인 신흥통을 공시하여 벼 재배기간중 메탄배출량, 산화환원전위 및 토양중 산화물 함량을 분석하였다. 적황색토에서 메탄배출이 회색토에 비해 유의하게 낮았으며, 산화환원전위는 상대적으로 높았다. 적황색토는 회색토에 비해 쉽게 환원될 수 있는 Active oxide 함량은 낮은 반면, 상대적으로 안정성이 높은 Free oxide의 함량이 높았다. 따라서 논토양 종류별 메탄배출은 벼 재배기간중 산화환원전위와 토양중 Geothite, Hematite 등과 같은 메탄산화제의 함량에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

NANO-SIZED COMPOSITE MATERIALS WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE

  • Ceramic based nanocomposite, in which nano-sized ceramics and metals were dispersed within matrix grains and/or at grain boundaries, were successfully fabricated in the ceramic/cerarnic and ceramic/metal composite systems such as $Al_2O_3$/SiC, $Al_2O_3$/$Si_3N_4$, MgO/SiC, mullite/SiC, $Si_3N_4/SiC, $Si_3N_4$/B, $Al_2O_3$/W, $Al_2O_3$/Mo, $Al_2O_3$/Ni and $ZrO_2$/Mo systems. In these systems, the ceramiclceramic composites were fabricated from homogeneously mixed powders, powders with thin coatings of the second phases and amorphous precursor composite powders by usual powder metallurgical methods. The ceramiclmetal nanocomposites were prepared by combination of H2 reduction of metal oxides in the early stage of sinterings and usual powder metallurgical processes. The transmission electron microscopic observation for the $Al_2O_3$/SiC nanocomposite indicated that the second phases less than 70nm were mainly located within matrix grains and the larger particles were dispersed at the grain boundaries. The similar observation was also identified for other cerarnic/ceramic and ceramiclmetal nanocornposites. The striking findings in these nanocomposites were that mechanical properties were significantly improved by the nano-sized dispersion from 5 to 10 vol% even at high temperatures. For example, the improvement in hcture strength by 2 to 5 times and in creep resistance by 2 to 4 orders was observed not only for the ceramidceramic nanocomposites but also for the ceramiclmetal nanocomposites with only 5~01%se cond phase. The newly developed silicon nitride/boron nitride nanocomposites, in which nano-sized hexagonal BN particulates with low Young's modulus and fracture strength were dispersed mainly within matrix grains, gave also the strong improvement in fracture strength and thermal shock fracture resistance. In presentation, the process-rnicro/nanostructure-properties relationship will be presented in detail. The special emphasis will be placed on the understanding of the roles of nano-sized dispersions on mechanical properties.

개질 폴리에틸렌 코팅 강관의 부착 및 체결부 성능 평가 연구 (Experimental Study on the Adhesion and Performance Evaluation of Joints for Modified Polyethylene Coated Steel Pipes)

  • 본 연구에서는 강관의 효율적 유지관리를 위한 모니터링 시스템 개발 연구의 일환으로 개질 폴리에틸렌 코팅 처리된 강관의 성능 평가를 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 기존 방식인 기계적 전처리 코팅의 경우 확관시 폴리에틸렌 부착이 저하되는 현상이 발생하여 이를 해결하고자 칼슘 혼입 인산 아연 피막을 활용한 화학적 전처리 공정이 적용되었다. SEM 및 EDX 분석결과, Zn/Ca 비 1.0에서 가장 치밀한 구조가 확인되었다. 또한, 확관 시의 코팅 이탈 방지를 위한 그라프트 처리 무수말레산을 기반으로 엘라스토머, 금속산화물, 블로킹방지제, 슬립제를 각기 다른 조합으로 혼입하여 개질된 폴리에틸렌 코팅 강관에 대한 부착 및 연신율 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 모든 개질 재료를 혼입한 시험체(S4)에서 금속산화물만 혼입한 시험체(S2)대비 25% 이상 향상된 성능을 확인하였다. 마지막으로, 공정이 완료된 코팅 파이프에 대하여 표면부 코팅 손상 방지를 위한 파이프 고정 부속 일부인 쐐기형 소켓링과 이탈 방지 압륜을 개발하고 성능평가를 수행하였다.
