  • The chromosome numbers of two sea anemones, Anthopleura midori and A. kurogane, were determined to be 2n=18 in both by the air-drying method. The chromosomes of A, midori are all telocentric, while the first pair of chromosomes of A. kurogane is subtelocentric and the remainders are all telocentric.

  • In this paper, the Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model is improved for searching differential characteristics of block cipher Midori-64, and 4 search strategies of differential path are given. By using strategy IV, set 1 S-box on the top of the distinguisher to be active, and set 3 S-boxes at the bottom to be active and the difference to be the same, then we obtain a 5-round differential characteristics. Based on the distinguisher, we attack 12-round Midori-64 with data and time complexities of 263 and 2103.83, respectively. To our best knowledge, these results are superior to current ones.

  • Three new copepod species of Critomolgus are described from the Korean coast of the Sea of Japan. They were found In association with the sea anemones of intertidal and shallow water, one of them from Anthopleura japonica Verrill and the remaining two from Anthopleura midori Uchida and Muramatsu. The descdbed three new oopepods are sympatric and very closely related to one another, though they are easily distinguished from other imown species of the same genus. This is the first record on the sea anemone-associated copepods in the Far East.

  • This lecture is about an investigation into a desired property of fuzzy systems when degrees of uncertainty involved are uncertain. We characterize the robustness of fuzzy logic operators by their moduli of continuity. Theoretical results for design methodology are presented and a case study is discussed.

  • Impossible differential cryptanalysis is an essential cryptanalytic technique and its key point is whether there is an impossible differential path. The main factor of influencing impossible differential cryptanalysis is the length of the rounds of the impossible differential trail because the attack will be more close to the real encryption algorithm with the number becoming longer. We provide the upper bound of the longest impossible differential trails of several important block ciphers. We first analyse the national standard of the Russian Federation in 2015, Kuznyechik, which utilizes the 16-byte LFSR to achieve the linear transformation. We conclude that there is no any 3-round impossible differential trail of the Kuznyechik without the consideration of the specific S-boxes. Then we ascertain the longest impossible differential paths of several other important block ciphers by using the matrix method which can be extended to many other block ciphers. As a result, we show that, unless considering the details of the S-boxes, there is no any more than or equal to 5-round, 7-round and 9-round impossible differential paths for KLEIN, Midori64 and MIBS respectively.

  • Three species of endosymbiotic dinoflagellates, zooxanthellae, are investigated from six host species of anthozoans from Korea. Three unrecorded endosymbionts species are Symbiodinium kawagutii, Symbiodinium microadriaticum, and Symbiodinium sp. Symbiodinium kawagutii Is associated with Alveopora japonica, Anthopleura japonica and Parasicyonis actinostoloides. Symbiodinium microadiraticum is found in Anthopleura kurogane and Parasicyonis sp. Unlike the former two symbionts, Symbiodinium sp. is associated with Anthopleura midori.

  • In this study, we purpose to indicate the concept of the Greenery Management System with resident participation at Experimental Housing NEXT21 as the mechanism that residents participate to the management of greenery independently, In this paper we clarified the whole process of the examination of the management rule by the analysis of the records of the process of the examination of the management rule from September 1999 to march 2002, and then we examined the possibility of the Greenery Management System with resident participation at Experimental Housing NEXT21

  • This paper deals with the problem of designing an adaptive regulator in order to improve transient performance in time-response when the linear state-space model of the plant contains unknown parameters which vary within prescribed bounds. The whole possible parameter space is divided into some subspaces and multiple models and controllers are established from the view point that each controller gives satisfactory transient behavior for systems corresponding to each parameter subspace. Based on time-response and an associated cost function, an appropriate controller is selected on-line out of multiple controllers.

  • This paper describes the spot scanning with $^{11}$ C beams for the Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC). The concave-shaped irradiation field was optimized and the dose distribution was measured by 128-ch ionization chamber. Because of the wide momentum spread inherent in $^{11}$ C beams, the dispersion caused from the beam line and the scanning magnets should be taken into account to calculate the dose distribution of $^{11}$ C beams and their irradiated field. The reconstructed dose distribution is in good agreement with the experimental results.
