Roles of Social Identity Verification in the Effects of Symbolic and Evaluation Relevance on Chinese Consumers' Brand Attitude

  • Purpose - Current study aimed at investigating the symbolic and evaluation relevance to global luxury brands as the causes of inducing social identity verification, and also explored whether the social identity verification will affect the attitude toward the brands. Research design, data, and methodology - 323 questionaries from Chinese consumers were used to test hypotheses by structural equation model of AMOS 22.0. Results - First, social identity verification positively affected on the brand attitude. Second, both the symbolic relevance and the evaluation relevance positively affected on social identity verification. Third, the mediation roles of social identity verification were identified. Social identity verification played a full mediation role in the effect of the symbolic relevance on the brand attitude, and played a partial mediation role in the effect of the evaluation relevance on the brand attitude. Conclusions - This study could contribute to the advancement of theory concerned with the roles of consumers' social identity verification which induces positive attitude toward the global luxury brands. Global brand managers in China should try to search ways by which consumers can feel both the symbolic relevance and evaluation relevance to their luxury brands, and should make efforts to improve the symbolic relevance and evaluation relevance to their brand.

매개 모형을 통하여 고찰한 우울과 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애, 인터넷 게임장애 사이의 관계 (The Relationship between Depression, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Internet Gaming Disorder Through Mediation Model)

  • Objectives Internet gaming disorder (IGD) is associated with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or depression etc. We tried to examine the mediating effects of depression in the relationship between ADHD and IGD. Methods This study was conducted on 2000 people who participated in on-line survey among 14-39 year-old men and women in 2017. And we clarified the relationship among IGD, ADHD, and depression and tested the mediation model. The mean and standard deviation of the main variables were calculated and correlation analysis was performed to confirm the relationship among the main variables. In order to test the mediating effect of depression on the relationship between ADHD and IGD, the structural equation model was implemented using AMOS 21 (IBM). Results There were significant correlations among the variables; IGD, ADHD and depression. Depression had a mediating effect 0.23 (95% confidence interval : 0.17-0.28) in the relationship between IGD and ADHD. Conclusions This study showed that depression can mediate ADHD and IGD. Therefore, the evaluation and management of depression and ADHD should be included in the diagnosis and treatment of IGD.

The Effects of College Life Adaptability on Career Preparation Behaviors of College Students: Mediating Effects of Major Satisfaction, Job Stress, and Self-Directed Learning

  • This study is a study to empirically verify the mediating effect on college life adaptation and career preparation behavior of college students. The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the multi-mediated effects of major satisfaction, job stress, and self-directed learning. For this study, 216 university students were enrolled. For the collected data, SPSS Process macro was used. The result is as follows. First, there were multiple parallel mediating effects and multiple serial mediating effects on major satisfaction, job stress, and self-directed learning between college life adaptability and career preparation behavior. Second, the path of simple mediation and double mediation effect was found between college life adaptation and career preparation behavior. Based on the research, the necessity of revitalizing the program for revitalization of teaching activities and industry-academic cooperation activities in the major field and improvement of career preparation behavior and university life adaptation ability and follow-up research were suggested.

  • 본 연구는 감성리더십과 창의성의 관계에서 조직신뢰와 내재적 동기의 매개효과를 검증함으로써, 감성리더십 뿐만 아니라 조직신뢰와 내재적 동기가 조직원의 창의성에 영향을 주는 중요한 요소임을 시사한다. 본 연구는 한국 ICT 기업에 재직 중인 조직원들을 대상으로 설문을 진행한 후, 241개의 유효표본으로 위에서 언급된 가설을 PLS-SEM으로 검증하였다. 첫째, 리더의 감성리더십은 조직원의 조직신뢰에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 조직신뢰는 조직원의 내재적 동기부여에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 내재적 동기부여는 조직원의 창의성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 조직신뢰는 조직원의 창의성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 조직신뢰와 내재적 동기부여의 매개효과를 검증함으로써, 기존의 연구들에서 감성리더십과 창의성의 관계를 확장하였고, 연구 결과를 바탕으로 ICT 기업의 조직원 창의성 제고를 위한 실천적 방안에 기여하였다.

진성리더십과 그릿이 사회적기업 구성원의 행복과 직무재창조에 미치는 영향 - 충청북도 사회적기업을 대상으로 - (The Effect of Authentic Leadership and Grit on the Happiness and Job Crafting of Social Enterprise Employee - Focused on Social Enterprise in Chungbuk -)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the authentic leadership of social enterprise leaders on the happiness and job crafting of employees, the mediation effect of job crafting in the authentic leadership of the leader and the happiness of the employees, and the coordination effect by the Grit of the employees. For verification, the relationship between authentic leadership and job crafting, happiness and grit and seven research theories were established. In addition, 47 questionnaires were drawn through prior research on happiness, authentic leadership, job crafting, and grit, and five executives and workers of social enterprises in Chungcheongbuk-do(Province) were surveyed on a five-point Likert scale. The collected survey data were conducted through the SPSS and AMOS for basic statistical analysis. The Macro Process of the bootstrap method was used to verify the mediation effects, the regulated effects. This study has conducted exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, structural model analysis through the survey results and the analysis results verify the hypothesizes. The study found that authentic leadership affects the happiness and job crafting of employees, and that job crafting affects the happiness of employees, and the relationship between authentic leaders and employees affects job crafting. It has also been shown that the Grit of its employees affects their job crafting and happiness and also has a mediation effect on job crafting and happiness. In the policy environment of the changing rural development project, the social economy establishment plan for the virtuous circle of resources in the region should be considered, and education programs should be introduced to improve the authentic leadership of the leaders.

  • This study examines the role of Leadership style and Organizational culture in predicting employee Performance. The aim of the research is: 1) to know the direct effect of Democratic Leadership on employee Performance, 2) to know the direct effect of Democratic Leadership on organizational culture, 3) to know the direct effect of Organizational culture on employee Performance, 4) to test the role of Organizational culture as mediation the effect of Democratic Leadership on employee Performance. The respondents were all employees at the Education Office East Java. The sampling method was used to collect data from 106 employees at the Education Office East Java, Indonesia, using surveys and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using the Path Analysis with SPSS statistical software. The study had four findings. Firstly, Democratic Leadership has a significant effect on employee Performance. Secondly, Democratic Leadership also has a significant effect on Organizational culture. Thirdly, Organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance. Fourthly, organizational culture mediates the effect of Democratic Leadership on employee Performance. Furthermore, the direct effect of Leadership style and the mediation role contribute to knowledge. The results showed that implementing Democratic Leadership supported by a conducive organizational culture guides employee to perform better.

노부모의 의존성 및 과잉간섭과 중년자녀의 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에 있어 노부모에 대한 양가감정의 매개효과: 자녀의 성별차이를 중심으로 (The Mediation Effects of Ambivalence for Elderly Parents on the Relations among Dependence and Intrusiveness of Elderly Parents and Psychological Well-Being of Middle Aged Children: Focusing on Gender Differences)

  • This study investigates the mediation effects of adult children's ambivalence for elderly parents in the relation of psychological well-being of middle aged children with dependence and the intrusiveness of elderly parents that examines the difference of mediation effects by children's gender. We collected data from 659 middle aged children of 40 to 59 years old who have living mother or father. The main findings are as follows. First, there were mediation effects of ambivalence for elderly parents in the relation between psychological well-being of middle aged children and dependency and intrusiveness of elderly parents. The perceived dependence and intrusiveness of elderly parents had a positive influence on the ambivalence of middle aged childen for their elderly parents. Ambivalence for elderly parents had a negative effect on the psychological well-being of middle aged children. In addition, the dependence and intrusiveness of elderly parents did not directly influence the psychological well-being of middle aged children. Second, the mediation effect of ambivalence for elderly parents indicated a gender difference of middle aged children. The dependence of elderly parents affected the ambivalence for elderly parents in the woman group and the intrusiveness of elderly parents only affected ambivalence for elderly parents in the man group. The results were discussed in terms of gender difference.

성인의 스마트폰 중독이 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 실행기능 결함과 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략의 이중매개효과 (The Influence of Smartphone Addiction on Subjective Well-being among adults : Dual Mediation Effect of Executive Function Deficit and Adaptive Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 성인의 스마트폰 중독이 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 실행기능 결함과 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략의 이중매개효과를 검증하고, 성인 스마트폰 중독 치료에 대한 시사점을 파악하는 것이었다. 성인 148명(남성 71명, 여성 77명)을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문을 실시하고 회귀분석을 통해 매개효과를 검증하였다. 핵심연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스마트폰 중독과 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략 간의 관계에서 실행기능 결함은 매개역할을 했다. 둘째, 스마트폰 중독과 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략의 매개효과는 유의미하지 않았다. 셋째, 스마트폰 중독과 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 실행기능 결함과 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략은 이중매개 및 완전매개 효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구결과는 성인 스마트폰 중독군의 치료적 개입에 있어 실행기능 훈련과 적절한 인지적 정서조절전략의 함양이 도움이 될 수 있음을 시사하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 전체 성인 연령층을 대상으로 한 향후연구의 필요성이 논의되었다.

남성노인의 차별경험이 노인인식 및 노년기 태도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 가족기능과 동년배관계의 매개효과 검증 - (Study on the effects of the male elderly's age discrimination experiences on their perception of the elderly and attitude toward the old age life -Examination of mediation effects of family function and peer relations-)

  • 은퇴 후 사회적 지위와 가족 내 역할에 변화를 겪는 남성노인은 차별경험으로 인해 부정적 노인인식과 노년기 태도를 갖게 될 가능성이 높다. 본 연구는 남성노인의 차별경험이 노인인식과 노년기 태도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 가족기능과 동년배관계의 매개효과를 검증하여 사회복지적 개입방안을 찾고자 한다. 조사대상은 서울지역 노인종합복지관을 이용하는 남성노인 215명이며, 매개효과 검증을 위해 구조방정식 모형을 이용한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남성노인의 차별경험은 노인인식에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 남성노인의 차별경험이 노년기 태도에 미치는 영향은 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 남성노인의 차별경험이 노인인식에 미치는 영향에 있어서 가족기능과 동년배관계가 완전매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 남성노인의 차별경험이 노년기 태도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 가족기능과 동년배관계는 부분매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 근본적으로 노인차별을 줄이기 위한 노력이 필요하다는 것과 가족기능과 동년배관계의 강화는 긍정적인 노인인식과 노년기 태도를 갖게 함을 보여주는 것이다. 따라서 노인차별을 줄이기 위한 제도적 접근, 가족기능 강화를 위한 가족상담 프로그램 및 대안가족 제시, 동년배관계 강화를 위한 지역사회 중심의 노인활동 지원이 필요함을 제언하였다.

공정무역 의류 광고에서 정서 소구의 효과 - 광고채널의 조절효과와 PCE의 매개효과 분석 - (The Impact of Emotional Appeals in Fair Trade Apparel Advertisements - The Interaction Effect of Advertising Channel and the Mediation Effect of PCE -)

  • This study investigated the effect of emotional appeals on consumers' attitude towards fair trade apparel advertisements, and their intention to purchase those fair trade apparels. The interaction effect of the advertising channel and the mediation effect of perceived consumer effectiveness(PCE) were examined. Four stimuli were manipulated using two types of emotions(positive/negative) and two types of advertising channels(magazine/SNS) were used to analyze consumers' reaction. The results demonstrated the significant differences in attitude towards ads and purchase intention according to the types of emotional appeals used in fair trade apparel ads. However, the interaction effect between the types of emotion and advertising channels was not identified. The results of mediation analysis showed that positive emotion influenced purchase intention directly without forming a favorable attitude towards the ads, whereas negative emotion had no significant influence on attitude towards the ads and purchase intention. The results also identified that PCE mediated between emotion elicited by ads and purchase intention. This study suggests that delivering images and messages that creates positive emotion should be considered when fair trade ads are produced. In addition, fair trade ads need to be devised to enhance PCE by emphasizing that ethical choices of individual consumers can change the working environment of manufacturing countries.
