소셜커머스의 성장요인 분석 : 소셜미디어와 소비자의 역할 (A Study on Determinants of Growth of Social Commerce : Roles of Social Media and Customer)

  • This research explores the question how interactions between customer and firm affect firm growth. To test suggested hypotheses, this study collects data on social commerce industry in Korea during the period from the beginning of social commerce industry in Korea, May 2010, to March 2012, and investigates the effect of social media on the growth of social commerce firms. We suggest two hypotheses in this study. First, as web traffic inflow through social media into a focal social commerce increases, the growth rate of the focal social commerce increases. Second, the more diverse social media channel through which web traffic inflows into a focal social commerce, the weaker the positive effect of web traffic inflow on the growth rate of the focal social commerce. Analysis of data shows that inflow through social media is positively related to the growth of social commerce. In addition, our analysis shows that inflow channel diversity weakens the positive relationship between web traffic inflow through social media and growth rate of social commerce firms. These results suggest that firms need to concentrate on few social media in order to attract customers. The study contributes to understanding how interaction between firms and customers influences the growth of the firm.

  • 디지털TV라는 진화된 매체와 방송, 통신 융합이 라는 새로운 패러다임의 등장으로 인해 T-Commerce는 그 잠재성에 많은 기대를 받고 있는 시장이다. 그러나 현재까지 국내에서는 양방향 데이터 방송이 보편화된 상황이 아니며, 성공 사례도 부족하여, 비즈니스 모델에 대한 구체적인 연구가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 T-Commerce 비즈니스 모델에 있어 고객 만족도에 영향을 미치는 고객 가치를 도출하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 우선, e-비즈니스 모델과 고객 만족도에 영향을 미치는 가치에 대한 선행연구들을 통해서 e-Commerce의 고객 가치 요인들을 분석하였다. 선행연구 분석결과를 T-Commerce 프로세스와 접목하여 6가지의 주요 요인을 채택하여, 홈 네트워크 시범단지의 포커스 그룹을 대상으로 실시된 T-Commerce 소비자 조사 결과를 바탕으로 타당성을 검증하였다.

Factors affecting millennials' intentions to use social commerce in fashion shopping

  • Social media has become an integral part of consumers' daily lives. Individuals connect with one another on social networking sites to like, share, and post information and experiences. As social media become popular among millennials, a growing number of fashion retailers use social media networks in the context of online commerce transactions. Accordingly, an increased number of fashion retailers has been using social media as an advertising tool and a retail channel. Despite the popularity of social media among millennials, empirical findings are limited to reveal factors associated with young consumers' intentions to use social commerce in fashion shopping. This study sought to examine factors affecting millennials' intentions to use social commerce in fashion shopping by adopting the technology acceptance model. A total of 524 college students completed an online survey in the U.S. The results of structural equation model confirmed that perceived ease of use, usefulness, and enjoyment had a positive impact on millennials' attitudes and intentions toward fashion shopping in social commerce. While both perceived ease of use and usefulness positively influenced enjoyment, usefulness had a stronger impact than ease of use. Compared to usefulness, enjoyment had much stronger impact on attitudes. Further structural model analysis revealed a direct, positive influence of perceived usefulness of social commerce on perceived enjoyment of social commerce, which has not been explored in prior studies. These findings provide theoretical and managerial implications.

  • 기존의 유비쿼터스 상거래에 대한 연구는, 대부분이 상품을 판매하는 매장 공간을 배경으로 하는 연구인 반면, 서비스 공간에서의 유비쿼터스 상거래에 대한 연구는 드물게 이루어져왔다. 본 논문은 서비스 공간에서의 유비쿼터스상거래 사례(맥도날드의 터치오더 서비스)를 분석하고, 현실 사례의 한계를 극복하는 방법으로서, 서비스 공간에서 새로운 가치창출을 할 수 있는 유비쿼터스 상거래 비즈니스 모델인 Media Embedded Place 비즈니스 모델을 소개하였다. Media Embedded Place 비즈니스 모델은 비교적 이동성이 없는 테이블이나 게시판과 같은 사물에 태그를 부착하여 서비스를 제공하거나 상거래를 발생시키고 그 대가로 공간을 제공한 사업자가 인센티브를 취하는 비즈니스 모델을 일컫는데, 이 모델을 위한 시나리오와 애플리케이션들을 분석하고, Tag-Evaluation 모델을 이용한 수익성 분석 사례를 설명하였다.

소셜 커머스 고객 만족에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (On the Factors that Affect Customers' Satisfaction in Social Commerce)

  • Social commerce is regarded as a kind of e-commerce that utilizes social media. Considering increasing complaints around social commerce market, it is important to see customers' satisfaction level and intentions to repurchase. In this study, we examine antecedents that affect customers' satisfaction and relationship between satisfaction and intention to repurchase in social commerce market. We also use social media characteristics as moderators between antecedents and customers' satisfaction. The main results are as follows. First, except site design, most of the intrinsic factors of service quality, such as information, transaction, communication and perceived security had positive effects on customers' satisfaction. Second, all the extrinsic factors of service quality, such as discount rate, constraints, and discrimination had significant impacts on customers' satisfaction. Third, the social media characteristics could not moderate the relationship between service qualities and customers' satisfaction. Fourth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to spread through social media. Fifth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to repurchase. Social commerce companies need to set up strategies considering the antecedents of customers' satisfaction using these research results. They also need to secure customers that have sustainable purchasing intentions.

통신 방송 융합 환경에서의 T-Commerce 수용 모델에 관한 연구 (Understanding the Adoption of T-Commerce in Telecommunications-Broadcasting Convergence Environment)

  • Telecommunications-broadcasting convergence in the domain of IT is a representative phenomenon that is expected to provide the saturated existing markets with a new source of profit. Especially, T-Commerce combines familiarity of TV and immediacy of the Internet which are expected to cover all the users familiar with each media and expand the existing commercial transactions. Telecommunications-broadcasting convergence in Korea, however, is focusing on technical and regulatory aspects so that research on the real users is not up to the mark yet. This is the most fundamental problem in hampering growth in the corresponding service and market. Thus, we are proposing an adoption model on T-Commerce to rapidly expand the convergence service through understanding the potential users. Perceived utilitarian and hedonic values, perceived interactivity, media substitution and personal innovativeness have been examined as the factors influencing the users' intention to adopt a new convergence service. As a result of empirical analysis, it is verified that perceived utilitarian and hedonic values and personal innovativeness directly influenced the users' intention to adopt whereas perceived interactivity had indirect affect on them. T-Commerce service providers should not only emphasize on the benefit that the older media could not provide the users with, but also provide them with more pleasure and entertaining experience during the course of satisfying the users' needs to distinguish T-Commerce from the other existing media.

라이브커머스에서 가상실재감의 효과와 결정요인 연구: 라이브쇼핑 매체 및 인플루언서 특성을 중심으로 (A Study on the Effect and Determinants of Virtual Presence in Live Commerce: Focusing on the Characteristics of Live Shopping Media and Influencers)

  • Purpose: Live commerce is a new type of electronic commerce in combination with live streaming services. It is expected to increase virtual presence in the context of online shopping by overcoming a lack of social interactions between sellers and buyers which have been raised as a limitation in electronic commerce. Drawing on the studies of communication media, this study examines how live commerce contributes to the increase of virtual presence which consists of telepresence and social presence. Telepresence refers to a buyer's perception that he or she is present at the physical shopping mall during live shopping streaming whereas social presence refers to a buyer's perception of social interaction with a seller which is human warm, social, sensitive, and personal. In this study, we verify key determinants of virtual presence and its consequences. More specifically, this study proposes virtual presence contributes to the increase of buyers' trust in products and further purchase intentions. Furthermore, we verify influential factors of virtual presence from the technical and influencer perspectives of live commerce. Design/methodology/approach: To test the proposed hypotheses, the partial least squares (PLS) analysis is conducted with a total of 250 data collected on users with experience in the TaoBao live streaming shopping platform. Findings: The results show that first, telepresence and social presence are increased by visibility, media richness and attractiveness in the context of live shopping streaming. Second, buyers' trust in product trust and purchase intentions are positively influenced by telepresence and social presence. Finally, buyers' trust in product has a direct, positve effect on their purchase intentions. Overall, the findings offer new insights into the studies of electronic commerce by introducting the concepts of virtual presence and media richness from the literature of communication media in the field of live commerce.

온라인 공동구매형 소셜커머스의 이용의도에 관한 연구 : 중국 이용자를 중심으로 (The Study on Intention to Use for Social Commerce of Online Group-Buying : Focused on Chinese Users)

  • The convergence of e-commerce and social media have given rise to a social commerce of online group-buying. Social commerce of online group-buying is a subset of B2C (Business to Consumer) and uses social media for marketing to facilitate online buying of products and services. The social commerce of online group-buying offers new and popular products or services every day, and uses social media to bring together separated consumers. In these backgrounds, we think that personality trait associated with seeking new and popular products or services, and social influence from social media are likely to be related to intention to use in social commerce of online group-buying. This study aims to examine and analyze novelty seeking and social influence that influence intention to use in social commerce of online group-buying in China. Our research model, which included novelty seeking and social influence, was developed based on the technology acceptance model. A questionnaire survey was carried out for empirical analysis. The results of empirical analysis based on a sample of 218 users showed that novelty seeking has a significant positive impact on intention to use, and social influence has a significant positive impact on perceived usefulness. We suggested academic implications and practical implications based on our empirical research.

  • IP미디어 기반의 T-Commerce의 활성화를 위해서는 각 업계와 추진 단체 측 에서 T-Commerce 및 각종 부가서비스의 호응도를 검증하여, 이를 적극 장려하고 활성화시킬 수 있는 대책이 필요하다. T-커머스는 IP미디어 방송 서비스의 성공여부를 결정짓는 중요한 서비스로서, 이를 통하여 방송사업자에게는 새로운 수입을 창출시키고, 기존 멀티미디어 산업 등에는 시장의 확대라는 긍정적 영향을 주게 될 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 프로그램 연동형 T-Commerce 이용 의도에 영향을 미치는 소비자 수용 요인을 파악하기 위하여 지상파 양방향 디지털 방송에 노출된 시청자들을 대상으로 이들이 e-Commerce에 대해 지각하는 유용성 및 이용 용이성이 T-Commerce 이용 의도에 미치는 영향을 실증 분석하였다. 이 과정에서 사용자가 보유한 새로운 기술에 대한 혁신성이 유용성이나 이용 용이성과 이용 의도간의 관계를 조절하는 지에 대한 분석이 병행되었다. 분석 결과 양방향 매체를 대상으로 실시된 선행 연구들과 마찬가지로 지각된 유용성은 이용 의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 반면 지각된 이용 용이성은 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 다른 양방향 매체들을 대상으로 실시된 기존의 연구 결과와는 달리 이용자의 혁신성이 지각된 유용성이 이용 의도에 미치는 영향을 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통하여 T-Commerce의 시행 단계에 따라 시청자 유인 전략이 달라져야 한다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.
