전계 측정용 센서의 개발 (Development of the Sensor for Measuring the Electric Fields)

  • For the measurement of time-varying electric fields and related quantities, a field sensor should be sensitive to the field to be measured, and also designed having an accurate transfer function. In this paper, a theoretical model which adequately describes the operation principle and design of the sensor is presented. A calibration and/or correction technique of the sensor is also studied which enables a precise determination of the response of the sensor to an electric field. As a result, the developed electric field sensor and measuring system are known to be accurate within a bandwidth from a few Hz to 200 MHz. It is found that the sensor can be used directly in the measurement of very fast transient voltages and time-varying electric fields occurring during disconnector operations in a gas-insulated substation. It may be useful also for the study on the electromagnetic environmental parameters.

  • Non-contacting capacitive sensor, based on principle of the cross capacitor, for measuring of $\mu\textrm{m}$-order displacements have been fabricated and characterized. To overcome disadvantages of the existed capacitive sensors of parallel type with 2-electrodes and 3-electrodes, the developed new sensor was designed to have 4-electrodes, two of them used high and low electrode the other two used as guard electrodes, on a sapphire plate with diameter 17 mm and thickness 0.7 mm, and are symmetrically situated with a constant gap of 0.2 mm between the electrodes. This sensor can be used for measuring the distance between sensor and target not only the metallic but also non-metallic target without ground connection.

미소 유량 센서에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on a Micro Flow Sensor)

  • In the present paper, a micro flow sensor, which can be used at bio-delivery systems and micro heat pumps, is developed. For this, the micro flow sensor is integrated on a quartz wafer ($SiO_2$) and is manufactured by simple and convenient microfabrication processes. The micro flow sensor aims for measuring mass flow rates in the low range of about $0{\sim}20$ SCCM. The micro flow sensor is composed of temperature sensors, a heater, and a flow microchannel. The temperature sensors and the heater are manufactured by the sputtering processes in this study. In the microfabrication processes, stainless steel masks with different patterns are used to deposit alumel and chromel for temperature sensors and nichrome for the heater on the quartz wafer. The microchannel is made of Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) easily. A deposited quartz wafer is bonded to the PDMS microchannel by using the air plasma. Finally, we confirmed the good operation of the present micro flow sensor by measuring flow rate.

코드분할다중접속을 이용한 다중센서 데이터 전송에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Data Transmission of Multiple Sensor Using Code Division Multiple Access)

  • In general, a measuring instrument of sound noise use only one wired channel by one sensor. Therefor the measuring instrument use wired cables as the number of channels are provided by instrument. In a point of observed target it needs data from multiple sensors and In case of measured point is a large numbers the environment of constitution would be complicated because that is in need of channel and cable. So we need the method that can improve the existing transmission channel and cable environment even the measured point is increased. If we use the Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) we transmit a large numbers of sensor data by using a common transmission channel. We present the method that transmits data of multiple sensor to wireless by using CDMA. This method can simplify the measurement environment dramatically when collecting data by using multiple sensor. We expect this study to contribute the part of multiple access technology and relation technologies on the measuring environment.

선형화 전압-거리 변환함수를 이용한 PSD 센서기반 거리계측시스템의 개발 (Development of PSD Sensor Based Distance Measuring System Using Linearizing Function of Voltage-Distance Conversion)

  • 본 논문에서는 이동로봇의 저가형 위치인식센서로 적합한 PSD(Position Sensitive Detector)센서를 이용하여 거리계측시스템을 개발하였다. PSD 센서는 거리-전압 출력이 비선형적인 단점을 가지고 있어 센서의 특성실험을 통해 선형화가 가능한 변환함수를 제안하였다. 제안한 방법을 검증하기 위하여 거리계측시스템의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어를 구성하였다 또 피측정체의 색상 및 재질에 따른 출력특성을 실험하고 거리-전압 데이터를 측정하였다. 실측한 데이터를 바탕으로 제안한 선형화함수의 계수를 추출하였다. 마지막으로 제안한 함수에 의한 거리와 실제거리를 비교하여 시스템의 성능 및 정확성을 검증하였다.

상지재활로봇의 팔힘측정용 2축 힘센서 설계 (Design of a Two-Axis Force Sensor for Measuring Arm Force of an Upper-Limb Rehabilitation Robot)

  • This paper describes the design of a two-axis force sensor with two step plate beams for measuring forces in an upper-limb rehabilitation robot. The two-axis force sensor is composed of a Fz force sensor and a Ty torque sensor. The Fz force sensor measures the force applied to a patient's arm pushed by a rehabilitation robot and the force of patient's arm. The Ty torque sensor measures the torque generated by a patient's arm motion in an emergency. The structure of sensor is composed of a force transmitting block, two step plate beams and two fixture blocks. The two-axis force sensor was designed using FEM (Finite Element Method), and manufactured using strain-gages. The characteristics test of the two-axis force sensor was carried out. as a test results, the interference error of the two-axis force sensor was less than 1.24%, the repeatability error of each sensor was less than 0.03%, and the non-linearity was less than 0.02%.

소형엔진용 가솔린 연료펌프의 회전수 측정 조건에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Rotational Speed Measuring Condition of a Gasoline Fuel Pump for a Small-Size Engine)

  • 펌프의 성능을 개선하기 위해서는 펌프의 회전수 정보를 획득할 필요성이 있으나, 일반적으로 연료펌프는 연료탱크 안에 내장되어 그 회전수를 측정하기에 어려움이 있다. 연료 펌프의 회전수는 크게 가속도 센서를 이용하는 방법과 전류센서를 이용하는 두 가지 방법이 있다. 가속도 센서를 이용하는 방법은 연료 펌프의 진동수를 측정하여 회전수로 계산하는 방법이며, 전류 센서를 이용하는 방법은 펌프모터의 주기적 전압방출 특성을 이용하여 회전수를 계산하는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 전류센서를 가속도 센서와 동시에 장착하여 다양한 측정 조건에 대한 실험을 수행하였다. 결론적으로 전류센서로도 연료펌프의 회전수를 정밀하게 측정하는 것이 가능하였으며 특히 낮은 회전수 영역에서는 가속도센서 대비 강건한 계측특성을 보였다. 오차 1% 이내의 회전수를 측정하기위하여, 가속도센서는 데이터 저장간격 0.5Hz 이하의 설정이 필요하였으며, 전류센서는 데이터 저장간격 2.0Hz이하의 설정이 필요하였다.
