As the research method, Q-statements were collected preliminary to the study of through in -depth interviews and a literature review. For the study 34 Q-statements were selected. There were 21 women as subjects for the research. The 21 women sorted the 34 statements using the principle of Forced Normal Distribution. The principle of Forced Normal Distribution, which has nine scales to measure the individual opinions, was called Q-Factor Analysis by using PC Quanl Program to supply the material. As a result, there were four categories(self-com-passion type, self-regulation type, self-perception type, self-abandonment type) of special opinion about the menopause experience in these women. The first type was called Self-compassion This type' was associated with varying degrees of emotonal instability(psychological withdrawal). And type in menopause signifies loss of a socially valued status and may result in depressive symptoms. This type expresses the menopause experience as associated with negative reaction. The second type is called Self-regulation. This type overcomes the menopause experience more actively than the other types and do not express the menopause experience as one of suffering. This type make efforts by themselves to regulate the mono-pause experience. The third type is called Self-perception. This type perceives the experience of menopause which as typical menopausal syndrome (hot flashes and decreased vaginal lubrication, decreased estrogen producing atrophic changes of the labia and vaginal mucosa, making intercourse uncomfortable). • The existing interpretations and translations do not give adequate explanations about hidden meanings of the oriental theory, making it not easy for other researchers not majoring in oriental medicine to understand oriental medical classics. For other researchers who are trying to understand oriental medical classics and perform interdisciplinary co-research, we suggest there should be more detailed explanations about the hidden meaning of oriental theory such as Eumyang(陰陽, Yinyang) theory, Five-phase[五行] theory, Un-gi(運氣) theory. This paper, interpreting and translating the east(東), the west(西), the south(南), the north(北) in "Hwangjenaegyeong Somun(黃帝內經 素問)" focusing on the meaning of each character, will be a good example of such detailed explanation.

  • In 2011, in the Olympus advertisement appeared a copy of 'Writing of Picture'. Usually, the verb of 'Shoot' is commonly attached behind the picture, but a new sentence was made connecting 'writing' into the picture in the advertisement. With entrance of the digital era, the digital devices became popular, and the behaviors people post messages and pictures together on the internet site also became popular. Whether we first take a picture and then make a writing later, or whether we first make a writing and then take a picture later, the meaning of 'writing' and 'shooting' is actually alike in the digital era. People now use various images and writings, at the same time, of the pictures in expressing their own selves positively. This soon means not only that the pictures are helpful for writings, but also that the delivery of the meaning is not carried out only by characters. To the digital natives who have grown within many images, this atmosphere is a natural thing. In the field of Korean language education, the study of making use of the pictures and media for writings is in progress.

  • Rapid social changes and scientific advances of the $21^{th}c$ have brought on a major paradigm shift towards consilience, making boundaries more or less irrelevant. In the field of architecture, this is manifested in the emergence of colors that can be described as 'being aleatory', 'non-formal', 'non-deterministic' and 'perpetually evolving'. Contemporary architectural colors are not definitively fixed. They are rather liquid and metaphorical. Whereas the more traditional architectural colors have delivered clearly and precisely the intended symbolic meaning and visual information, those of today are less definitive and embody a more liquid and conceptual value system. This paper discusses the denoted signification and the meaning effect of the metaphorical color system found in contemporary architecture. This paper analyzes works of architecture from the late 20th century, when dramatic change sin architectural color system surfaced, to the more contemporary creations. Here, three categories of color are suggested, namely material color, spatial color and liquid color. Each categories considered in connection with deconstruction, holistic interactivity and the multiplicity of meanings that may result as information from the external world is perceived as stimulus to the inner mind. Contemporary architectural color scheme is characterized by its unpredictable vagueness of meaning, synesthetic engagement of imagination and chance, and expansion of the inner and outer world, all of which contribute to a metaphorical effect. The metaphorical color system of contemporary architecture can be classified into three dimensions, and it connects with human consciousness and amplifies itself through flexible and fluid communication. In this process non-physical colors materially serve as formal logic and room for varied interpretation of architectural space and our conceptual framework.

  • Seongri scholars of the Joseon Dynasty said that portraits were revered as academic teachers, and that the personal meaning was typical. Portraits in the latter phase of Joseon Dynasty have been popular in various contexts, especially in the sense of the texture, the religious church, and the ritual service. The etiquette and written aspects contained in portraits can point out the problems of contemporary society's individualism and attitudes through the expressive and personal approach to the art of painting. The purpose of education is to explore relationships with others, to coordinate myself with others, to have respect for others, and to change the inner workings of individuals. Through this, we can explore and explore personality education elements and find ways to achieve personality education through the exploration of figures using portraits as educational material, the process of making portraits, and the discovery of meaning. Therefore, for systematic appreciation, we are planning to set up an appreciation standard by proposing a 3-step review process applied to the 2015 revised education course.

  • This thesis was a phenomenological study of an after-school picture book making program for middle school students. This study attempted to establish a theoretical system for picture book making activity by analyzing the process of self-discovery and healing through the picture book making activity. The participants were six middle school students, the picture book making activity program was organized into five stages, and in-depth interviews of the study participants and their interpretation of picture books were described. According to the research results, first, the making activity of picturebooks can construct one's own world through hyper-reality that is more excessive than the original. Second, it can be said that the fearful existence of a monster has developed awareness and insight to view its own problems from various angles through defamiliarization. These results might be that the making activity of picturebooks is a way of revealing one's existence to the world, and through this, the process of exploring and constructing the meaning of oneself and daily life. Discussion was made based on this about the creation of another world where the picturebook making activity is different from the original, the stimulating effect of the subconscious mind through the defamiliarization device, and the establishment of self-existence in picturebook creation.

  • This paper investigates the process of change in the meaning of the term gongye (工藝) (nowadays it means craft) during Korea's transition to the modern era. The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty (朝鮮王朝實錄) will serve as the basis for the examination of pre-modern usage, and the Korea-United States Treaty of 1882 for the changes that occurred between the translation from Chinese and from Japanese following the opening of the port . After the port opened, the meaning of gongye, which once broadly referred to the wide range of work of people from different fields, was narrowed down to singularly represent the manufacturing industry. Following the example of Japan, the first East Asian country to succeed in modernization, this new meaning of gongye was generally used in the context of embracing Western culture and creating industry. As industrialization emerged as a national mission, and new terminology was needed to express these new concepts, the Chinese characters used by the Japanese to translate Western concepts were directly imported and used without making any changes. Gongye was similar in meaning to gongeop (工業) (nowadays it means industry) at the time, and the two terms were used interchangeably. However, following the Japanese annexation of Korea, the cultural administration of the Governor-General imbued the term with artistic concepts, and gongye was differentiated from gongeop, As such, examining the establishment of terminology and concepts can be helpful for understanding the contradictions and problems of the Korean crafts scene, which were derived from a period in the past called the modern era.

  • With the introduction and expansion of 'maker movement', maker culture captured attention and saw itself as an emerging culture. This study aims to analyze published books, policy report, columns and news articles related to maker culture through the perspective of critical discourse analysis. Maker movement led by the government gives meaning to the maker culture as the force of 'creative economy' that can overcome the economic crisis. Following this meaning making, one-man digital fabrication start-ups have been actively promoted by government policies. In the case of Seoul, it criticizes government led maker movement that only focuses on economy and institutionalizes maker movement by focusing on the maker culture's aspect as 'digital social innovation' that can resolve social problems. In the world of art, it tries to rediscover the value craft, that is, 'creative craftsman'. Moreover, resistance movement that tries to fight against dominant technology structure through constructing 'critical making' was also spotted. Nonetheless, it is rather untimely to definitely find dominant discourse's power effect in reality and sign of rupture in dominant structure as the result of resisting discourse's struggle. Thus, maker movement is the field of struggle where an ongoing clash can be found: between discourse strategy that tries to make maker culture a social or economic asset by combining with dominant power structure, and alternating or resisting practice of signification that focuses on its cultural techno-political potential.
