Topic Extraction and Classification Method Based on Comment Sets

  • In recent years, emotional text classification is one of the essential research contents in the field of natural language processing. It has been widely used in the sentiment analysis of commodities like hotels, and other commentary corpus. This paper proposes an improved W-LDA (weighted latent Dirichlet allocation) topic model to improve the shortcomings of traditional LDA topic models. In the process of the topic of word sampling and its word distribution expectation calculation of the Gibbs of the W-LDA topic model. An average weighted value is adopted to avoid topic-related words from being submerged by high-frequency words, to improve the distinction of the topic. It further integrates the highest classification of the algorithm of support vector machine based on the extracted high-quality document-topic distribution and topic-word vectors. Finally, an efficient integration method is constructed for the analysis and extraction of emotional words, topic distribution calculations, and sentiment classification. Through tests on real teaching evaluation data and test set of public comment set, the results show that the method proposed in the paper has distinct advantages compared with other two typical algorithms in terms of subject differentiation, classification precision, and F1-measure.

  • 이 연구의 핵심은 가톨릭계 학교에서 생동하는 신앙을 가르치는 종교교육으로 그것은 단순히 종교와 신앙의 전통을 전수하는 그러한 형태의 수업과는 차이가 있다. 지금까지 종교교육의 형태는 가정과 교구에서는 배타적인 형태의 신앙으로 그 교육적 과업이 제한되어 왔다. 반면에 가톨릭 학교의 종교교육은 수학교과 혹은 과학교과와 같이 단지 학문 원리로 종교교육이 수행되어 왔다. 이 논문은 최근 현대 사회 속에서 가톨릭계 학교에서 이루어지는 종교교육의 축소에 주목하면서, 기독교의 신앙과 기독교의 지적 전통이 본래적으로 지니고 있은 본질, 목적, 앎의 양식을 촉진하는 종교교육의 근간을 제안함에 연구의 목적이 있다.

A Multi-Resolution Approach to Non-Stationary Financial Time Series Using the Hilbert-Huang Transform

  • An economic signal in the real world usually reflects complex phenomena. One may have difficulty both extracting and interpreting information embedded in such a signal. A natural way to reduce complexity is to decompose the original signal into several simple components, and then analyze each component. Spectral analysis (Priestley, 1981) provides a tool to analyze such signals under the assumption that the time series is stationary. However when the signal is subject to non-stationary and nonlinear characteristics such as amplitude and frequency modulation along time scale, spectral analysis is not suitable. Huang et al. (1998b, 1999) proposed a data-adaptive decomposition method called empirical mode decomposition and then applied Hilbert spectral analysis to decomposed signals called intrinsic mode function. Huang et al. (1998b, 1999) named this two step procedure the Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT). Because of its robustness in the presence of nonlinearity and non-stationarity, HHT has been used in various fields. In this paper, we discuss the applications of the HHT and demonstrate its promising potential for non-stationary financial time series data provided through a Korean stock price index.

개념도를 이용한 구조적 지식의 조사 연구 -초등학교 평면 도형 단원을 중심으로- (An Analysis on Structural Knowledges by Concept Maps -Focused on Plane Figures in Elementary School-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate significant differences of structural knowledges among the groups(high, middle, low) when the 6th grade subjects structured the concepts of the plane figures, triangle and quadrangle, by concept maps, and to analyse the features of concept maps according to hierarchy. For this purpose, the following two research contents were investigated: 1. Investigating significant differences of structural knowledge in the concepts of the plane figures using concept maps among the groups(high, middle, low). 2. Analysing the features of concept maps according to hierarchy. The structural knowledges represented on the concept maps of triangle and quadrangle which were drawn by the subjects were analysed by propositions, hierarchies, and cross-links. Subject-self Reports about how to make the concept maps were used to analyse the features of concept maps according to hierarchy. The conclusions drawn from the results were as fellows: First, there were significant differences among the groups in proposition links. Second, there wasn't my significant difference among the groups in hierarchy. Third, there were significant differences among the groups in cross-links, and Fourth, the results of analysing the concept maps by hierarchy showed that there were differences among the individuals in constructing the knowledges.

수학 교과에서의 수행과제를 활용한 수업 방안 탐색 -백워드 이론을 기반으로- (An Investigation on the Mathematical Instruction Utilizing Performance Tasks according to the Backward Design)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of mathematical instruction through performance task activities based on the The Backward Design, which was suggested at first by Wiggins & McTighe in 1998. The Design deals with a performance assessment task involving the whole objective and its entire content of a lesson. Based on the Backward Design, this study established the mathematical instructional materials, which deal with the concept of 'the sector' taught in middle school, with one large performance task including three small tasks. It is important that in the lesson students be guided to achieve the several learning goals by themselves through reasoning activities. For this purpose, a formal interview was carried out by the subject of three middle school mathematics teachers. As a result, in order to implement the instruction utilizing the performance tasks more efficiently in future, it is required that a large performance task should be selected or developed including the content or problem contexts to be relevant with the real-life challenging situations. In addition, to make students enhance reasoning skills, it is strongly requested that the tasks including the utilization of supplementary materials such as technological devices or manipulatives be dealt with in a lesson.

수준별 교육과정의 운영 실태와 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Implementation and Improvement of Differentiated Curricula)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the current implementation states of the differentiated curriculum at the middle school and to propose ways to improve it. For that purpose this study conducted a survey and had the interviews with the middle school mathematics teachers. The items of survey and interviews consisted of the two main parts: current states and needs about the special supplementary courses and enriched supplementary courses. The results showed that there were discrepancies between the current states and the needs of the differentiated curriculum. This means the efforts to improve the current states are needed. The strategies for improving the implementation of the differentiated curriculum are as follows: 1. The use of various standards including the subject-achievement level and students' or parents' opinions is needed in selecting the students of special supplementary course. 2. More relevant special supplementary materials need to be developed and utilized. 3. The ability grouping is recommended for the differentiated instruction. 4. The deliberation of developing the enriched and supplementary texts is requested. 5. The study for differentiated evaluation of students is demanded.

A methodology to estimate earthquake induced worst failure probability of inelastic systems

  • Earthquake induced hysteretic energy demand for a structure can be used as a limiting value of a certain performance level in seismic design of structures. In cases where it is larger than the hysteretic energy dissipation capacity of the structure, failure will occur. To be able to select the limiting value of hysteretic energy for a particular earthquake hazard level, it is required to define the variation of hysteretic energy in terms of probabilistic terms. This study focuses on the probabilistic evaluation of earthquake induced worst failure probability and approximate confidence intervals for inelastic single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems with a typical steel moment connection based on hysteretic energy. For this purpose, hysteretic energy demand is predicted for a set of SDOF systems subject to an ensemble of moderate and severe EQGMs, while the hysteretic energy dissipation capacity is evaluated through the previously published cyclic test data on full-scale steel beam-to-column connections. The failure probability corresponding to the worst possible case is determined based on the hysteretic energy demand and dissipation capacity. The results show that as the capacity to demand ratio increases, the failure probability decreases dramatically. If this ratio is too small, then the failure is inevitable.

RISK-INFORMED REGULATION: HANDLING UNCERTAINTY FOR A RATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF SAFETY

  • A risk-informed regulatory approach implies that risk insights be used as supplement of deterministic information for safety decision-making purposes. In this view, the use of risk assessment techniques is expected to lead to improved safety and a more rational allocation of the limited resources available. On the other hand, it is recognized that uncertainties affect both the deterministic safety analyses and the risk assessments. In order for the risk-informed decision making process to be effective, the adequate representation and treatment of such uncertainties is mandatory. In this paper, the risk-informed regulatory framework is considered under the focus of the uncertainty issue. Traditionally, probability theory has provided the language and mathematics for the representation and treatment of uncertainty. More recently, other mathematical structures have been introduced. In particular, the Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence is here illustrated as a generalized framework encompassing probability theory and possibility theory. The special case of probability theory is only addressed as term of comparison, given that it is a well known subject. On the other hand, the special case of possibility theory is amply illustrated. An example of the combination of probability and possibility for treating the uncertainty in the parameters of an event tree is illustrated.

초등학교 과학 교과서 내용의 통합적 구성에 관한 국제 비교 연구 (An International Comparative Study on the Integrative Contents of Elementary Science Textbooks)

  • The aims of this study are to analyze and compare the elementary textbook contents of science in Korea, USA and England and to make suggestions for the improvement of integrative contents in Korean science textbooks. For this study, lessons on living things in the three grade science textbooks of three different countries were selected and analyzed according to the five criteria: component elements of the lesson, integration of knowledges and investigations, integration of subject and life, connection with other subjects and focus of integration. From this comparative study, five suggestions are inferred for the improvement of the Korean elementary science textbooks. First, it is recommended that Korean textbooks should present unit objectives and evaluative components in the introductive part and last part of each lesson. Second, Korean textbooks should include scientific knowledges as a way of presenting educational contents. Third, Korean textbooks are recommended to include integrated contents fitting for students' life context. Fourth, Korean textbooks are recommended to integrate contents in connection with mathematics, arts, literature and so on. Fifth, issues which can facilitate students to understand contents in the textbooks and to relate to their life should be more employed.

문제중심학습(PBL)에서 초등학생들의 문제해결과정과 의사소통 -비율그래프를 중심으로 (Elementary school students' Problem solving process on Problem-Based Learning Approach - Focused on drawing graphs)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 6학년 수학 비율과 그래프 단원에서 활용할 수 있는 PBL문제를 개발하여 수업에 적용하고 그 수업과정, 즉 교사와 학생이 어떻게 문제를 해결해 가는지와 어떤 양상으로 의사소통하는지에 대하여 탐색하였다. 이를 위하여 6학년 학생 5명을 대상으로 수업을 실시하고 관찰, 분석하였다. 그 결과 PBL을 통해 깊이 있는 수학적 지식을 얻게 되었으며 다양한 의사소통을 통해 자기주도적으로 학습하며 수학에 대해 긍정적 사고를 갖게 되었음을 알 수 있었다.
