어머니의 스마트폰 의존과 양육죄책감이 유아의 정서조절에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Mother's Smartphone Dependency and Maternal Guilty Feelings on Early Childhood Emotion Regulation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mother's smartphone dependency and maternal guilty feelings on early childhood emotion regulation. The subjects were 326 mothers of 2 to 5 year olds. Mothers' smartphone dependency was assessed by the Korea Agency for Digital Opportunity & Promotion(2006), guilty feelings by the Maternal Guilt Scale(Sung 2011), and early childhood emotion regulation assessed by the ERC(Park 2012). The results of the study were as follows. First, mother's dependency on smartphones was highly related with early childhood emotion regulation. Maternal guilty feelingswere weakly related with child's emotion regulation. Relationship between mother's dependency on smartphones and maternal guilty feelingswasmoderate. Second, mother's positive expectations towardssmartphones and maternal guilty feelings from negative parenting behavior explained early childhood emotion regulation as much as 69%.

초등학생 부모자녀 관계 향상 프로그램이 어머니의 양육태도에 미치는 영향 (The Development and the Effect of Parent Education Program on Maternal Child-rearing Attitude)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of educational program on maternal child-rearing attitude. The program consisted of 6 sessions, 3-hours weekly meeting per session with 12 mothers who have participated at parent education program. Before and after the program, tests were carried out with child-rearing attitude scale md qualitative research to analyze personal changes of participants. The results of the study were as follows. First, the pre-test and post-test with the maternal child-rearing attitude scale showed some changed recognition that maternal child-rearing attitude would be more affectionate, autonomous and unrejectable. Second, parent education program had positive effect on the maternal self understanding. Participants reported that various tests used for this program helped them to identify themselves. This program also positively influenced maternal children understanding through searching the developmental task and characteristics of children.

보호시설 미혼모의 태아애착행위와 상태불안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship Between State Anxiety and Maternal Fetal Attachment of Unmarried Mothers in a Welfare Center)

  • Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between state anxiety and maternal fetal attachment of unmarried mothers in a welfare center. Methods: The subjects were 25 unmarried mothers in a welfare center. The data was collected through personal interviews using a questionnaire. The instruments used for this study were the modified Spielberger's state anxiety inventory and Cranley's Maternal-Fetal Attachment Scale. Data was analyzed descriptive statistics, mean, standard deviation, t-test and the pearson correlation coefficient with the SPSS computer program. Results: The age of the subjects ranged from 15 to 25, and their average age was 20.0. The mean score of state anxiety was 58.2. There was significant difference in the degree of maternal state anxiety between the group whose pregnancy was known by their family and the group whose pregnancy was hidden. The group whose pregnancy was known showed a low state anxiety score. There was a significant difference in the degree of maternal state anxiety by the gestational period. The group who were in the second and third gestational trimester showed lower state anxiety score than in the first trimester. The mean score of maternal-fetal attachment(MFA) was 64.9. There were significant differences in the degree of maternal fetal attachment, by an ultrasound scan experience. The most frequently practiced attachment item was "I think the fetus is able to feel(mean 3.8)". Unmarried mothers degree of state anxiety showed a negative correlation with the degree of maternal fetal attachment(r=-.25), but there was no significant difference between the two variables. Conclusions: The unmarried mothers made an effort in striving to reduce their high state anxiety and to enhance maternal fetal attachment. They also realize how to take care of their state anxiety.

Benefits of Prepartum Nest-building Behaviour on Parturition and Lactation in Sows - A Review

  • It is well known that prepartum sows have an innate motivation to build a nest before parturition. Under commercial conditions, however, the farrowing crate, which is widely used in modern pig husbandry, inhibits this innate behaviour through the lack of space, materials, or both. Thus, restriction of nest-building behaviour could generate increased stress, resulting in a decrease in maternal endogenous hormones. Hence, it could lead to detrimental effects on farrowing and lactating performance. Here we review interactions between prepartum nest-building behaviour, stress and maternal endogenous hormone levels, and discuss their effects on parturition, lactation, and welfare of sows and offspring.

장애아모의 스트레스 대처전략과 적응에 관한 연구 (A Study of Coping Strategies and Adaptation of Mothers of Handicapped Children)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 장애아모의 스트레스에 대한 대처전략과 적응 간의 관계를 정립하는 것이었다. 특히 장애아모의 적응에 영향을 미친다고 알려진 장애아모와 장애자녀의 개인 및 환경적 특성의 영향력을 통제한 상태에서 대처전략의 적응에의 순수한 독립적 영향력을 분석하는 데에 연구의 초점을 두었다. 서울, 창원, 대구의 장애인복지관에 등록된 장애아동의 어머니 92명을 대상으로 한 설문조사 분석결과, 대처전략과 장애아모의 적응간의 유의미한 관계가 입증되었다. Stepwise multiple regression 분석을 통해 밝혀진 장애아모의 적응 예측에 기여한 대처전략은 직면전략, 책임수용 전략 그리고 긍정적 재평가전략이었다. 직면과 책임수용전략은 장애아모의 적응에 부정적인 영향을 미친 반면, 긍정적 재평가전략은 장애아모의 적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이들 직면, 책임수용, 긍정적 재평가전략의 적응에의 효과는 다른 예측변수의 영향력을 보수적인 방법으로 통제한 상태에서도 통계학적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 장애아모를 위한 사회사업개입방안이 논의되었다.

아동의 정서적 부적응 행동과 관련변인과의 인과모형 분석 (A Casual Model between Emotional Maladjustment Behaviors of Children and Related Variables)

  • The purpose of this research is to study the causal model among mother related variables, child abuse, and children's emotional maladjustment behaviors. The sample subjects were 542 pairs of fifth and sixth grade elementary school students and first as well as eighth grade middle school students, and their mothers. The major findings of the research are as follows: First, the result of multiple regression analysis on the effects of the maternal parenting stress and marital satisfaction to the children's abuse indicates that stress related to learning expectation and stress related to relationship with child are the significant contributing factor to physical abuse and verbal abuse. Second, the result of multiple regression analysis on the effects of the maternal parenting stress and child abuse to the children's emotional maladjustment behaviors indicate that verbal abuse is the significant contributing factor. Third, looking at causal relations of the maternal variables (maternal parenting stress, marital satisfaction) and child abuse (physical abuse, verbal abuse, neglect) to the children's emotional maladjustment behaviors, maternal variables impact indirectly through the child abuse factor.

가족복지정책과 출산율 (Family Welfare Policies and Fertility Rate)

  • 본 논문은 OECD 주요 선진국의 출산율 및 가족복지정책의 변화와 특성을 검토해 보고, 가족복지 유형별 출산율을 비교 분석해 본 후, 한국의 가족복지정책 마련에 도움이 될 수 있는 시사점을 탐색해 보았다. OECD 주요 선진국의 출산율은 1970년대에 인구대체수준 이하로 떨어졌으며, 그 이후에도 완만하게 출산율이 감소했으나, 1990년대에는 출산율이 낮아지는 국가들과 높아지는 국가들로 나누어진다. 이러한 출산율 변화 차이는 1970년대 이후 각국이 채택 추진한 가족복지정책과 상당한 관계를 갖고 있음을 암시해 주고 있다. 주요 선진국들은 1970년대 이후 출산율 감소에 관심을 갖고 인구관련 문제를 종합적으로 다루기 위해 범정부차원의 인구관련기관을 설립했으며, 가족복지 지원수준을 높여왔다. 그러나 각국의 가족복지 지원수준과 지원형태(노동중심 또는 양육중심)는 해당국가의 정치적 이념, 문화 역사적 배경, 경제환경 등에 따라 다르게 발전되어 왔다. OECD 주요 국가들의 가족복지정책을 유사한 특성을 가진 국가군으로 유형화하여 유형별 출산율을 비교해 본 결과, 가족복지 지원수준이 높을수록, 양육중심에 비해 노동중심 지원수준 비중이 높을수록 출산율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유형별 출산율 변화를 비교해 본 결과에서도 가족복지 지원수준이 높을수록, 양육중심에 비해 노동중심 지원수준 비중이 높을수록 출산율이 증가하거나 출산율 감소가 완화되는 것으로 나타났다. 주요 선진국의 출산율과 가족복지정책 분석을 통해 얻을 수 있는 시사점으로는, 첫째 출산율 및 인구관련 문제를 체계적으로 연구하여 종합적인 대안을 제공해 줄 수 있는 범정부차원의 인구관련기관을 설립할 필요가 있으며, 둘째 가족수당 신설, 출산휴가와 육아휴직의 기간 연장 및 육아휴직급여의 상향조정, 공보육시설 확대 등 가족지원체계를 확대해야 하고, 셋째 양육중심(가족수당 등) 지원수준 보다 노동중심(아동보육시설, 출산휴가 등) 지원수준에 비중을 많이 둘 필요가 있고, 넷째 사회구성원, 특히 청년층에게 자녀를 기르는 것이 어렵지 않으며 행복을 가져다준다는 희망을 갖도록 하는 사회환경을 조성할 필요가 있다.

어머니의 상호작용행동 및 언어입력과 영·유아의 언어발달과의 관계: 다문화가정과 일반가정의 비교 (Relation among Mother's Interaction Behavior, Mother's Language Input and Children's MLU: A Comparison between Multicultural- and Korean-Families)

  • Maternal interaction behavior, language input and children's language of 34 multicultural families were compared with those of ordinary families. MLU's of multicultural mothers and their children were shorter than those of ordinary Korean mothers and children. Positive maternal interaction behaviors of multicultural mothers were significantly lower than those of ordinary mothers. Correlational analyses revealed that there were positive correlations among maternal interaction behaviors, mother's MLU and children' MLU in multicultural families. However, there were no such correlations in ordinary families. Findings suggest language education and support for multicultural mothers be an effective policy for their children's language development.

어머니의 양육스트레스와 아동의 자아존중감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Maternal Parenting Stress and the Children's Self Esteem)

  • The purpose of this research was to delineate the effect of parenting stress of the children's self-esteem. Such variables as the mother's age, her education level and maternal parenting stress were chosen for the analysis. The sample subjects were 659 pairs of fifth/sixth grade of elementary school and first/second grade of middle school and their mothers. The major findings of the research were as follows : First, the children's self-esteem was significantly different to mother's education level but the children's self-esteem not significantly different to mother's age. Second, parenting stress related to temperament, relationship and learning expectation was significantly different to children's self-esteem. Third, the result of stepwise multiple regression analysis on the effects of the maternal variables(mother's age, her education level, parenting stress) to the children's self-esteem indicated that maternal parenting stress related to temperament, relationship and mother education level were the significant contributing factors.

어머니의 과보호 양육행동과 아동의 공격성, 위축 및 자기유능감 (Maternal Overprotective Behavior and Their Children's Aggression, Withdrawal and Perceived Competence)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships of mothers exhibiting maternal overprotective behavior and their children's aggression, withdrawal and perceived competence. For data collecting, 339 children attending the fifth/sixth grade of elementary school in Kwangju were involved. The major findings were as follows: First, maternal overprotective behavior related to school learning showed a significant difference due to the children's sex. Furthermore, maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life and school learning showed a significant difference due to the children's grade. Second, maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life showed a significant difference due to the mother's education level. Finally, the result of multiple regression analysis on the effects of the mother's overprotective behavior to the children's aggression, withdrawal, and perceived competence indicated that maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life and school learning was the significant contributing factor. All in all, the variables accounted for 11% of the children's aggression, 11% of the children's withdrawal, and 6% of the children's perceived competence.
