Temperature Distribution of Tracking Degradation Using IRR-Camera (적외선방사카메라를 이용한 트래킹열화 온도분포)

  • The conventional tracking testing as IEC-60587 is widely used in surface aging measurement of outside insulator because those testing can carry out very short time in Lab testing. Also IEC-60587 testing is able to offer the standard judgement of relative degradation level of outside HV machine. Therefore it is very useful method compare to previous conventional tracking testing method and effective Lab testing method. But surface discharges(SD) have very complex characteristics of discharge pattern so it is required estimation research to development of precise analysis method. In recent, the study of IIR-camera is carrying out discover of temperature of power equipment through condition diagnosis and system development of degradation diagnosis. In this study, SD occurred from IEC-60587 is measured with partial temperature distribution in real time, the degradation grade of SD is analyzed through produced patterns in IEC-60587 according to applied time.

  • Silicone composites for high voltage insulator(HVI SC) were prepared by adding aluminum trihydrate(ATH) treated by surface treatment agent to base silicone compound at the ratio of 100:20, 100:40, 100:60, 100:80, and 100:100, respectively. And also, ATH was treated by various surface treatment agents, such as stearic acid, acryl silane vinyl silane under compounding process. electrical properties were investigated for the various contents of ATH and solace-treatment agents we mlas ured volume resistivity, breakdown and tracking resistance were for HVISC containing ATH treated by viuyl silane.

  • From this research the construction civil official is simple with the parking floor finishing material, it improves the durability of the parking floor it uses the flexible FRP it will be able to secure the drainage quality it is excellent and it presents the efficient application plan from the construction site. The performance appraisal only efficiency with of result floor of parking area material bay it knows, the result where also the performance appraisal portion re-with roof bottom finishing is satisfied it showed. The flexible FRP it applies the material to the building as to diminish the damage of the bottom finishing material due to the deterioration and the conduct and the external force of the building it is exposed to the external environment, secures the quality of the material from the construction site and will contribute to the stability against the bottom finishing material.

  • Silicone rubber is being used for the housing material of outdoor high voltage insulators such as composite insulator, bushing, surge arrestor and cable terminator because of good tracking and erosion resistance, good hydrophobicity and recovery of hydrophobicity and chemical stability. But, the leakge current occurs on surface of the composite polymeric insulation materials when the insulator is used for a long time with severe contaminative condition and it can lead the contamination flashover. So the leakage current is important to estimate the condition of the silicone rubber surface. In this paper, aging characteristics of silicone rubber used for outdoor insulation have been hydrophobicity of silicone rubber in salt fog chamber with average leakage current monitoring for observing the transformation of surface degradation properties of silicone rubber with different ATH(alumina trihydrate, A1$_2$O$_3$$.$3H$_2$O) filler contents. The experimental results show that a higher peak leakage current and to raise a long time for tracking with increasing amount of ATH by the salt fog and heat recycle ageing.

  • Aging test to estimate life property of polymer insulator is executed through several international standard such as IEC 61109 and CEA tracking wheel test, but is not getting clear conclusion yet. There are two methods in the diagnosis method of polymer insulator such as off-line and on-line. The diagnosis methods in off-line are external condition analysis by the eye, contaminant analysis on surface, surface analysis, pollution withstand voltage test, power frequency flashover voltage test, lightning impulse flashover test, tensile fracture load test and flexural load test. The diagnosis methods in off-line most are the method for virgin and last aged sample. However, the diagnosis method in on-line is method that can be evaluate sample state as progressing continuously aging test in beginning, The diagnosis method in on-line is arranged as following: leakage current measurement, electric field, surface state investigation, thermal image, emitting light measurement and then so. In this paper, the tracking performance of polymer insulator with salt solution which is added surface active agent. The diagnosis of insulator sample has been analyzed by leakage current and visual examination.

  • In this paper, It is tested by spraying the spoiled liquids on the materials to prove the process of tracking under the various environments. Our experiments ware examined by setting the materials in the spray chamber, and by spraying the distilled water(DW), the city water(CW), the underground water(UW), the artificial acid rain(AR) and the salt water(SW) in applied voltage 3-6[KV]. As the result, the time of tracking breakdown became shorter in the order of DW < CW < UW < AR < SW. XLPE was eroded and its anti-bracking property was very strong, but that of PVC sheath was week. Especially it was confirmed that spraying by AR and SW on the PVC sheath had a serious effect on the lifetime of cable by the tracking breakdown.

  • So that high-strength and electrical properties apply by excellent high voltage insulator electricity material, ATH content and platinum-based flame retardant that influence in flame retardant and tracking characteristic among composite of silicone rubber studied mechanical strength and influence getting to electrical properties. Composition of ${\alpha}$, ${\omega}-vinyl$ poly (dimethyl-methylphenyl) siloxane(VPMPS) of a polymer quantity made doing mole of D4, $D3^{Me,Ph}$ and VMS by 1000:15:0.2 mole ratio and uses basic catalyst tetramethylammonium silanolate(TMAS) and do opening equilibrium polymerization to be used to main polymer for high voltage insulation insulator. Control ATH content and content of platinum-based flame retardant and made high voltage insulation silicone rubber. Measured mechanical strength of making silicone rubber using UTM, and tracking characteristic according to standard of IEC 60587, flame retardant test studied effect that flame retardant characteristic gets in tracking characteristic, measuring according to UL94V method of test.

  • There have been numerous accelerated aging laboratory tests for evaluating suitability of polymeric materials and devices. Aging test for materials and its full scale device has been conducted, but poor correlation of aging test such as service experience were observed. Service experience plays a key role in the utility section of composite insulators. A meaningful and reliable accelerated aging test is needed for evaluating composite insulator. During the service these insulators are subjected to aging stress such as humidity, pollution, and electrical field, and erosion and tracking of the weathershed occurs. This paper presents the criteria of reliability evaluation and evaluation facilities for 22.9 kV suspension composite insulator. We adopt the criteria of reliability evaluation consist of two test methods. One is CEA tracking wheel test for examining the tracking and erosion performance of composite insulator. The other is multi-stress aging test for examining effects of environmental factors such as UV, temperature, humidity, etc on composite insulator.

  • The tracking characteristics of silicon rubber degraded by accelerated outdoor exposure employing a weather-o-meter have been investigated. The tracking test was performed according to IEC Publ.587 but the concentration of conductive material was two times higher than the IEC standard in order to accelerate the tracking failure. The number of large effective scintillation and the current of high voltage circuit were measured by changing two signals as voltage signals. It was fiund that the increase of exposure time resulted in the reduction of tracking resistivity except the fact that the specimens slightly degraded within 200 hours has slightly increased the duration time.
