  • When a plant owner requests plant 3D CAD models in the format that a shipbuilding company does not use, the shipyard manually re-models plant 3D CAD models according to the owner's requirement. Therefore, it is important to develop a technology to compare the re-modeled plant 3D CAD models with original ones and to quantitatively evaluate similarity between two models. In the previous study, we developed a graphic user interface (GUI)-based comparison system where a user evaluates similarity between original and re-modeled plant 3D CAD models for piping design at the level of unit. However, an offshore plant consists of thousands of units and thus a system which compares several plant 3D CAD models at unit-level without human intervention is necessary. For this, we developed a new batch model comparison system which automatically evaluates similarity of several unit-level plant 3D CAD models using an extensible markup language (XML) file storing file location and name data about a set of plant 3D CAD models. This paper suggests system configuration of a batch-mode-based comparison system and discusses its core functions. For the verification of the developed system, comparison experiments for offshore plant 3D piping CAD models using the system were performed. From the experiments, we confirmed that similarities for several plant 3D CAD models at unit-level were evaluated without human intervention.

조선분야에서의 설계공리의 응용 (Application of Design Axiom to Marine Design Problems)

  • 설계공리는 독립공리와 정보공리로 이루어졌는데, 독립공리를 이용하면 개념설계 단계에서 기능과 구조의 관계를 고려하여 설계의 기본적인 개요을 잡는데 유용하며, 구조가 결정이 된 후에 기능요구를 잘 만족시키기 위한 설계변수들의 결정과정에서, 설계의 정보량을 최소화하는 입장에서 정보공리를 이용함으로서 설계 시에 설계공리의 적용이 가능하리라 본다. 본 연구에서는 조선분야의 설계문제에 설계공리를 적용하여 봄으로써 설계공리의 응용 가능성을 고찰하였다. Thruster의 개념설계 예제에서는 독립공리를 사용하여 기능요구와 설계변수의 분석이 어떻게 이루어지는가를 보였고, 주기관 선정 예제에서는 대안들을 선택하는 방법으로 정보공리가 효과적으로 이용될 수 있음을 보였다. 또 설계변수의 선택과 변경량이 중요한 상사설계에서도 바지선의 예를 통하여 설계공리가 유용하게 쓰일 수 있음을 보였다. 그러나 초기에 제한조건과 기능요구를 모두 파악하기 어려워 점진적이며 반복적인 설계과정을 거치는 선박과 같은 대형 구조물인 경우에는 설계공리의 적용에 한계가 있음도 파악하였다.

  • An overview of 30 feet sailing yacht design is presented. with an emphasis on the factors contributing to start-up Popularization . After prescribing the configurations of the purposed yacht. the design of the hull form with a rudder and a keel, are schematically described. Also the determinations of the dimensions of the sail and rig are performed.

  • The liquid ejector, having no moving, lubricating and leaking parts, is widely used as the various pumps because of its high working confidence and simplicity. Previously, computer aided design program for the small-sized liquid ejector was developed based on the one-dimensional flow analysis and the systematical laboratory level experiments. Through the present research, it is confirmed that the previously developed computer program to getermine the main design dimensions and to calculate the expected performance curve is satisfactorily applied to design the large liquid ejectors.

  • A CAM program for forming design Automated of CAM for Spring using car was developed in this study. This program was written in AUTO LISP on the AUTO CAD system with a personal. An approach to the system is based on the kinemateic of the object function. We make a determination of an cam programming. A CAM spline is continuous in displacement. velocity and acceleration. This program which can design Coil Spring shapes will successfully support CAN designing and manufacturing for Small & Medium companies.

  • Precise measurement of flowrate is considered as an important measuring factor in mechanical and chemical experiment. Although there are many methods to measure flowrate, Float type flowmeter is widely used because of its easy attachment to piping and high measuring precision. To design the precise float type flowmeter, much design information such as tapered-tube dimensions, float size, float shape and float material is required. In this paper, fundamental design theory for float type flowmeter according to the given flowrate range is suggested and compensation coefficients of volumetric and weight flowrate for water, R-113 and air are calculated.

  • A Design of GA-based SPS controller for power system stabilization was investigated in this paper. The design problem of SPS controller is formulated as an optimization problem using GA. The dynamic characteristic responses are considered to verify the performance of the proposed SPS under various disturbances and operation conditions. The simulation results show that the proposed SPS controller provides most of the damping and improves greatly the voltage profile of the system under two different disturbances.
