  • We construct an orthonormal basis for the Bergman space associated to a simply connected domain. We use the or-thonormal basis for the Hardy space consisting of the Szegő kernel and the Riemann mapping function and rewrite their area integrals in terms of arc length integrals using the complex Green's identity. And we make a note about the matrix of a Toeplitz operator with respect to the orthonormal basis constructed in the paper.

  • Determinations of conformal map from the unit disk onto a Jordan region are reduced to solve the Theodorsen equation which is an integral equation for the boundary correspondence function. Among numerical conformal maps the Wegmann's method is well known as a Newton efficient one for solving Theodorsen equation. However this method has not so wide class of convergence. We proposed as an improved method for convergence by applying a low frequency filter to the Wegmann's method. In this paper, we investigate error analysis and propose an automatic algorithm based on this analysis.

  • The inference of fuzzy controller can be considered a mapping from the controller input to membership value. The membership value, a kind of weight, has a role to decide if the input is appropriate to the rule. The membership function is described by several values, which are decided by a learning method. The learning method is adopted from adaptive filtering theory. The simulation shows the proposed fuzzy controller can learn linear and nonlinear functions. the structure of the proposed fuzzy controller becomes a kind of neural network.

  • In this paper, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a general class of three-point boundary value problems for a coupled system of nonlinear fractional differential equations. The differential operator is taken in the Caputo fractional derivatives. By using Green's function, we transform the derivative systems into equivalent integral systems. The existence is based on Schauder fixed point theorem and contraction mapping principle. Finally, some examples are given to show the applicability of our results.

  • In this paper, we prove that a function satisfying the following inequality $${\parallel}f(x)+2f(y)+2f(z){\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}2f(\frac{x}{2}+y+z){\parallel}+{\epsilon}({\parallel}x{\parallel}^r{\cdot}{\parallel}y{\parallel}^r{\cdot}{\parallel}z{\parallel}^r)$$ for all x, y, z ${\in}$ X and for $\epsilon{\geq}0$, is Cauchy additive. Moreover, we will investigate for the stability in Banach spaces.

  • We give a fixed point theorem for complete fuzzy metric space which generalizes fuzzy Banach contraction theorems established by V. Gregori and A. Spena [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 125 (2002), 245-252] using notion of altering distance, initiated by Khan et al. [Bull. Austral. Math. Soc. 30 (1984), 1-9] in metric spaces.

  • A continuum structure function (CSF) is a non-decreasing mapping from the unit hypercube to the unit interval. A B-type CSF, defined in the text, is a CSF whose behaviour is modeled by its underlying binary structures. As the measure of importance of a system component for a B-type CSF, the structural and reliability importance of a component at a system level ${\alpha}$(0 < ${\alpha}$ < 1) are defined and their properties are deduced.

  • The purpose of the present paper is to investigate mapping properties of an integral operator in which we show that the function g defined by $$g(z)=\{\frac{c+{\alpha}}{z^c}{\int}_{o}^{z}t^{c-1}(D^nf)^{\alpha}(t)dt\}^{1/{\alpha}}$$. belongs to the class $S(A,B)$ if $f{\in}S(n,A,B)$.

  • In this paper, we consider and study a new class of generalized vector quasi-variational type inequalities and obtain some existence theorems for both under compact and noncompact assumptions in topological vector spaces without using monotonicity. For the noncompact case, we use the concept of escaping sequences.
