개인의 특성이 정보시스템 성공에 미치는 조절효과분석 (The Moderating Effect of Individual Factors on Information Systems(IS) Success Model)

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the success factors of information systems and the moderating effect of individual factors in mandatory environment. Methods: In order to test the model, a questionnaire survey is delivered from salespersons of an insurance company in Seoul, Korea. 200 questionnaires are finally analyzed. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is adopted to analyze the data and Smart PLS 2.0 is used for examining the moderator effect. Results: The extended model proposed in this paper adopted individual factors and examined their moderator effect among constructs. An empirical test is carried out accordingly in order to test the model proposed in this paper. The results reveal that individual factors (i.e. Computer Self-Efficacy, Anxiety, Personal Innovativeness in IT) have a significant moderating effect on individual performance in the environment of mandatory information system usage. Conclusion: This paper extended the research field of information system success model to information systems in mandatory environment regarding differences of individual factors.

Identification and Analysis of the Legal Status of International Maritime Organization Instruments

  • Identifying which international maritime legal instruments are mandatory or recommendatory is complicated task even for maritime regulatory bodies. Although International Maritime Organization (IMO) had tried to ease the complexity by adopting guidelines on uniform wordings for making reference to other instruments in IMO parent conventions, there has still been some confusion identifying the mandatory status of IMO instruments. The aim of this study was to map out a step-based guideline to resolve the complexity of the mandatory status of IMO instruments to the maximum extent possible. This study reviewed the history of IMO rule-making process to find the root cause of the problem, then analyzed the approaches of regulatory enforcement bodies to check the practices. In conclusion, readers are directed to find such information as to legal status of IMO instruments and an improvement is proposed to enhance the transparency of information sharing for maritime industry to make better informed decisions.

  • This paper presents and tests a conceptual model of Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) that explains perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, organizational commitment and turnover intention in terms of psychological commitment in mandatory environments. The model focuses on psychological commitment(Kelman's internalization, identification, compliance) as the primal of predictor of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and organizational commitment we discuss our current understanding of technology acceptance, as well as the notion of mandated use. The results and implications of the research are as follows. First, organizational commitment negatively influence turnover intention in mandatory environment. Second, perceived usefulness positively influence organizational commitment in mandatory environments. Third, psychological commitment positively influence organizational commitment, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use in mandatory environments. Fourth, perceived ease of use positively influence perceived usefulness in mandatory environments. Through this research, psychological commitment is a strong determinant of technology acceptance in mandatory environments. These findings advance theory and contribution to the foundation for future research aimed at improving our understanding of user adoption behavior in mandatory environments.

  • The 62nd session of the MARINE Environment Protection Committee was held in London from 11 to 15 July 2011. Mandatory measures to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) from international shipping were adopted at the Committee. The amendment to MARPOL Annex VI includes a new chapter 4 to make mandatory the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) for new ships and the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) for all ships. This first mandatory measures on energy efficiency will enter into force on 1 January 2013. This amendment to MARPOL Annex VI will significantly influences the vast majority of the international maritime community. This paper mainly discusses the main results of MEPC 62nd session including the recent Emission Control Area.

작업환경측정시료의 분석수탁기관과 자율정도관리 참여와의 연관성 (Relationship of the Institutes for Analyzing Requested Samples(IARS) among Working Environment Measuring Institutes(WMIs) and the Participation of the Non-mandatory Proficiency Test)

  • Objectives: The necessity of samples for analysis requested by working environment monitoring institutes (WMIs) has grown recently. The collection of samples of a few chemical substances requested by WMIs is allowed under the current occupational safety and health act in Korea, leading to an expansion of samples for analysis requested by institutes (SRIs). The objective of this study was to identify the number of institutes for analyzing requested samples (IARS), SRIs, and their participation in a non-mandatory proficiency test. Methods: Questionnaires were completed by all WMIs. The collected information was quantity of analysis equipment, sorting of chemicals from SRIs, and the number of SRIs. This was compared in terms of the participation in the non-mandatory proficiency test. Results: All WMIs in Korea responded to the survey, establishing a 100% response rate. There were 52 (29%) IARS among the 179 WMIs in Korea. The total number of samples of acid for ion chromatograph (IC) analysis requested by WMIs was 21,165, which is the most. Even the number of IARS for crystalline silicon oxide was less than other top-five IARS. The total amount of samples was 13,863, which was the second most. The calculated participation score for IARS was significantly higher than other WMIs (p<0.001). According to participation in the non-mandatory proficiency test by type of substance, such as crystalline silicon oxide and formaldehyde among IARS, the number of SRIs from those IARS was significantly higher than IARS that did not participate in the proficiency test (p<0.05). Conclusions: IARS had a high frequency of participation in the non-mandatory proficiency test and the number of SRIs at IARS participating in the proficiency test was higher among IARS. With the revision of the occupational health and safety act in Korea, the number of IARS participating in the non-mandatory proficiency test might increase.

  • 대부분의 침입차단시스템의 접근통제 기능은 전통적인 임의적 접근통제 기법을 적용하여 외부로 부터의 침입을 방지하고 있다. 이러한 전통적인 임의적 접근통제 기법은 다중등급의 네트워크에서 데이터의 중요도에 따라 정보 흐름을 안전하게 통제할 수 없다. 그러므로 다중등급 보안환경에서 활용될 침입차단시스템을 강제적 접근통제 기능을 제공하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 다중등급 정보를 처리하기 위해 보안 레이블과 강제적 접근통제에 대한 보안 메커니즘 설계방법을 제시한다.

디지털그림자노동(Digital Shadow Work)의 개념화: 강제성과 대가성 이슈를 중심으로 (Conceptualizing Digital Shadow Work: Focused on Mandatory and Reward Related Issues)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to clarify the conceptualizations of mandatory and reward that have come into focus in the definition of digital shadow work. And explore how users in a shared services environment view cost and coercion from the perspective of digital shadow work. Design/methodology/approach We conducted one-on-one interviews with 4 participants, with each interview being an average of 25 minutes. Based on literature review, stakeholder observation, and interviews on digital shadow work so far, very objective results can be derived through triangulation based on the basis of multiple sources. Findings According to the results of the preliminary study, there are some rewards for each type of digital shadow work, but time saving and service convenience are considered more than financial rewards. Unfair demands in determining whether to implement them in consideration of the difficulty and expected benefits of the demanding digital work can cause dissatisfaction with the service. Academic implications and future research directions are also discussed.

강제적 사용환경 하의 RPA 능동적 사용행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Conative IS Use Behavior of RPA under Mandatory IS Use Environment)

  • RPA는 다양한 분야에서 업무 효율성 및 생산성 향상을 위해 적용되고 있다. 그러나 RPA 도입은 경영정책에 의해 강제적인 환경에서 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 RPA를 도입한 결과는 조직원들이 이를 능동적으로 사용하는 정도에 따라 결정될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 능동적 사용행동에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 지각된 사용 용이성, 지각된 유용성, 책임성, 지각된 위험, 자기효능감을 제시하고, 능동적 사용행동은 몰입, 재발명, 학습으로 이루어진 반영적 2차요인으로 구성하였다. 이러한 연구모델을 검증하기 위해 RPA 사용 경험이 있는 다양한 업종의 직장인 207명을 대상으로 데이터를 수집하였다. 이후 SPSS 20.0 및 SmartPLS 4.0을 통해 구조 방정식으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 제시된 모든 변수들이 능동적 사용행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 RPA 도입 기업에서 조직원들이 능동적으로 RPA를 사용하는 행동을 이끌어내는 요인이 어떤 것이 있는지 인지하고 대응할 수 있도록 한다는 점에서, 지식경영 관점의 유의미한 이론적 및 실무적 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.
