A study on shearing die design for window roller housing and die manufacture (창호용 롤러 하우징의 전단금형 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구)

  • Window roller housings are durable because high-quality source materials such as stainless steel is used in making them. After a series of precise structure analysis, their design is optimized. They are subject to repetitive driving tests of more 100,000 times, durability tests, impact resistance tests, corrosion tests and others. For a long time, gaps often occur in press molded products owing to serious squareness deformation and flatness deformation of them. Severe burrs in press molded products require frequent grinding, which leads to short life cycle and rough or unreliable movement of assembled roller housing, which, in turn, causes product defects. This study focuses on developing measures to resolve existing defects and to improve lifespan of dies by designing and making a window roller shearing die.

  • Die making process is classified into design,manufacturing,polishing,assembly, and performance test. Die polishing is not a machining process by cutting edge of tool, but it is finishing by relative cutting movement under the surface contact between grinding particles and workpiece, and this process comprised 30~40% of total manufacturing hours. However, die polishing process is still performed by the skilled workers. Now a days, it is very difficult to secure skilled workers due to the hardworking environment and this situation will be getting worse in the future which has great difficulty of dies and molds industries.This process has the common problem on the elimination of tedious manual polishing among the tool making industries. Therefore this study is aimed at the development of an automatic polishing attachment which could be attached onthe spindle of CNC machine tool and controlled by the NC program data created by CAD/CAM system. As a result, this study will contribute the realization of automatic fine polishing process and improvement of quality level of dies and molds.

  • The chairs are one of the most important furniture in this modern society, as we know that history of furniture is made of history of the chairs. Among the chairs, the stool, which made by only sit and legs, forms the basis of the chairs. The stool plays an important part in the human body to support and also help to make an agile movement In a short period of time. The stool is the minimum unit of chair, which made of least size and simple structure; therefore it fits to study basic knowledge of furniture making. For that reason, we can see occasionally the schools of furniture design departments have chosen the stool making course in their foundation students' studio classes. However, the professional study on the stool, such as the study on the posture for designing stool, has not been developed yet. This study presents basic Information of design for stool by analyzing various stools formatively.

Making and Using an Ecological Learning-Place in Primary Schools in Daegu (대구 지역 초등학교의 생태학습장 조성과 활용)

  • Because of the rapid industrialization and urbanization, urban dwellers are lack of opportunity to contact with nature, and hence alienated from it. In particular, primary school children who are very sensible to nature need more opportunities to learn nature by direct interactions with it. For this purpose, a movement for making and using ecological learning-place in play-ground within primary school. It has been found as a result of research on ecological learning-places in 7 primary schools in Daegu that such places, equipped with several ecological facilities, provide both pupils and local dwellers around schools with a place for ecological learning and for rest. But some of them have been left without care and hence can not be properly used, because of inappropriate site, insufficient facilities, and deficient programme for practical use. In conclusion, the paper reconfirms importance of ecological learning-place within grounds of primary school in terms of its educational, social and ecological effects, and suggests briefly some measures to encourage its construction and practical use.

  • This paper was done as an exploratory study aiming to identify the relationship between small group characteristic factors and perceived performance in the Village Development Committee (VDC) in Saemaul Undong project in Laos. The data were gathered from 166 members in 17 VDCs in Vientian province, however 135 questionnaires were used in analysis. Structure Equation Model was applied in the analysis with Amos 21. The major finding of this study were as follows; firstly decision making was more influenced by task cohesion than social cohesion, secondly organizational citizen behavior was influenced by both task cohesion and social cohesion. However, social cohesion had more influence than task cohesion, thirdly the VDC members learned their technical knowledge from decision-making process, and influenced to their perceived performance level and to VDC sustainablity, and fourthly in overall, committee members implemented their jobs based on task-oriented.

A Study on Policy Macking Process in the Separation of Prescribing and Dispensing (우리나라 의약분업 정책과정의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study aimed at the analysis, from the perspective of rationality, of policy making process in the separation of prescribing and dispensing. This study is to identify the characteristics and problems of the policy process to introduce the new durg-prescription system, and make policy recommendations. In terms of separation of prescribing and dispensing, the development of policy making process can be divided into two periods; periods before and after the inauguration of the govemment of people. In the period before the govermment of poeple, one of the major characteristics of policy decision on the new system was the poweful influence of interset groups. At that time, the ministry lacked the problem-solving ability and commitment on the policy. Consequently, during the former period, the policy making process had been driven by interest groups. Therefore, the original purpose of the policy to secure the pulic health was lost. During the latter period, there was also the strong influence of interst groups, complexity of interest, the ministry's inability of problem solving. However, in this period, it is notable that this has drawn nation-wide attention, severl civic grouos have participated in the policy making process, and that the number and voice of these groups have remarkably increased. With regards to rationality, incrementalish model is highly sutable to explain the policy making process in the former period. But in the latter period when the new drugperscripition system became a national issue and civic groups began to participte in this matter more actively, rational model is more explanatory that incrementalism to understand the process. During the latter period, the original goal of this policy was not distored by a few interest groups thanks to the rapid development of civil movement and therebly a big influence of civic groups on the policy making. For that reson, a jigh level of rationality is found in the policy-making process of the latter period. Some suggestions to achieve the rationality in the policy making process based on the results of this study are as follows; Frist, the public's participation should be enered in the policy making process. Second, the govermment should make contiuns efforts to enhance its ability of long-term planning and policy implementation, and increase rationality of policy making process. Third, balance among interset groups should take place in the process of policy making. Forth, sound, constructive, and logical activity of interest groups is necessary to express and promote their interests.

  • The immogilzer for control the patient movement during the radiation beam on was made of the polyurethane foam. The time consumption is abut 8 minutes for completely making the immobilizer. In this experimental study, the effects of using the individual immbilizer have shown that the patients have had always a same plsition with comfortable and high reproducigilities. Furthermore, it has shown the time for patient setup was decreased by using the individual patient immobilizer.

  • This paper is concerned with the development of the vibration isolation system using piezoelectric actuators and sensors. The active vibration absorber system consists of 4 pairs of PZT actuators bonded on aluminum plates making s- shaped device. Hence, the active system is directly connected to the passive system. The rubber attached to the end of the beam is connected to the upper base as a structural member. It allows bending thus maximizing the vertical movement generated by the piezoceramic actuators.   • Based upon the previous experiences and typical oases of typhoon evasion fur ships as well as tile achievement in scientific research in this detrain, we developed the Intelligent Typhoon Evasion System for Ships. It consists of five subsystems, including electronic charts, ship movement management, typhoon information query and automatic plotting, real-time calculation of ship-typhoon situation, intelligent typhoon evasion decision making. With the synthetical application of analogy theory, synoptic chart, satellite cloud picture analysis, typhoon digital forecast and other relevant technologies, we leave established the typhoon evasion data bases. model bases and knowledge bases, which make it possible to automatically track the ships and typhoon paths. The system can realize ship-typhoon situation analysis, risk levee assessment, typhoon paths correction and course synoptic forecast, and intelligent typhoon evasion decision making.

  • Reports on population movement(2000-2030) by the National Statistical Office show that the number of elementary school age population will be decreased by 1.4million from 2005 to 2020. It will effect both school size and the policies for school facilities, which have focused on downsizing class as the high standard of OECD nations. As the unfolding evidence is emerging that a number of schools and classes will be emptied out by 2030. This study aims at developing a model for evaluating the validity of school establishment, which would help more reasonable decision-making for new school construction and the class extension in the existing schools. It classifies two different ways in founding a new school - school establishment in a residential developing site and school establishment for solving a overcrowd class. It proposes the assesment items and the methods for evaluating its validity. In the end, it suggests an assesment model which the district educational offices can use in the course of planning the student accomodations to schools and making decisions for new school construction and the class extension in the existing schools. This study would be expected to help the reasonable expenditure for school facilities and to restrict overbuilding of surplus classes.
