Research of Hand Sanitation Level and Recognition for Hand Sanitizer Usage in Working Pl aces(Industries) (산업체에서의 손 위생 관리 현황 및 손 소독기 필요성에 대한 인지도 조사)

  • To show the recognition of hand-sanitizer, we studied the answers of research questions where we got from the northern part of Seoul and Kyunggi Province. We had categorized two groups both industry-related people who work in restaurants, hygiene service shops, whole sales, government organizations, PC shops, factory-department stores and non industry-related people who work in schools, general offices for this study. 1. Hand sanitation level: Over 60% people washed hands 6 times a day. The group using water and soap was much bigger than the group using water for washing hands. For drying, people preferred wipe tissue, towels, clothes, non drying in that order. 2. Recognition of hand sanitizer and its usage experience: Most people(66.5%) did not know what hand sanitizer is, but they have positive attitude if they use this machine. 3. Place of hand sanitizer: The proper places to install were such public places as hospitals, restrooms, and restaurants. The fifties-group was the most frequently hand washing generation with over 9 times a day. 4. Comparison of recognition for hand-sanitizer by male and female: There were different results in each evaluation item by either male or female. The frequency and method of hand washing showed high in males, while females observed hand sanitization, installation requirements, installation areas, home installation, etc more than anything else.

  • In this paper, we measured the heating time on the key measuring point of the meridian of the human body's left and right by using heating machine. Then, based on the fuzzy theory, this study diagnosed the each meridian's strength and weakness, After that, both the strengthening and weakening stimulus of magnetic field was applied to the dominant direction to find out how the degree of strength and weakness of the meridian changed. Ultimately, the magnetic therapy that can stimulate the magnetic field at the time of diagnosis and thereby balancing the interactive of a five system has been materialized. For the stimulation of magnetic field, a stimulating device which can change the direction and time on a specific part of the key measuring points has been developed and used. The therapeutic method is as follows. first, the strength and weakness of the meridian has been determined. Second, both the extremely weak meridian of Yin(Shade) and Yang(Shine), and the extremely strong meridian of Yin and Yang were adjusted by applying appropriate ascending and descending stimuli respectively.

  • In this paper, we introduce the design method using CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) which is profitable in the compatibility and standardization of the developed product and the reduction of construction time and price to develop and design a machine equipment. Particularly, we select the standard model to design or develop from the large machinery to the super precision one, extract the peculiar characters of the model by the close analysis of the physical and technical part, can predict the previous result of experimental characteristics on objective dimensions through the analogical mathematical analysis, and can induce the design model demanded by user investigating optimal data in advance. We present the analogical algorithms and process method of design factors and restriction factors in the systematization design with computer. Then we analyze step functions for each systematization equipment and induce the process of technical data with actuator model.

  • Background subtraction from video data is one of the most important task in various realtime machine vision applications. In this paper, a new scheme for background subtraction based on the hexagonal pixel sampling is proposed. Generally it has been found that hexagonal spatial sampling yields smaller quantization errors and remarkably improves the understanding of connectivity. We try to apply the hexagonally sampled image to the LBP based non-parametric background subtraction algorithm. Our scheme makes it possible to omit the bilinear pixel interpolation step during the local binary pattern generation process, and, consequently, can reduce the computation time. Experimental results revealed that our approach based on hexagonal spatial sampling is very efficient and can be utilized in various background subtraction applications.

  • In this paper, we describe the implementation of debugger that has advanced features for verifying Simulink model. The debugger provided in Simulink has some boring and repetitive work when verifying complicated Simulink models or complicated scenarios. In order to resolve the problems, this paper addresses the issues on the implementation of debugger that provides features such as a convenient feature to compare the simulation output to the expected output for specific input, to monitor system's behavior at specific time, and coverage report function in some or all input scenarios. The proposed debugger is applied to the vending machine model provided by Matlab, demonstrating its feasibility.

  • This paper deals with the design and fabrication of a novel superconducting power supply system, and characteristics have been analyzed through experiments. Superconducting power supply consists of rotating and static parts, and superconducting magnet. In this experiment, the current-pumping characteristics have been analyzed with superconducting sheets placed in parallel within the static part of the machine. In addition, in order to observe the 3-dimensional flux distribution in the superconducting sheet, several hall-sensors were placed in it. With the flux distribution acquired, the effect of the flux on the superconducting sheet during the process of current pumping have been analyzed. Also, general operational characteristics of the superconducting power supply system have been investigated on the basis of the current and voltage data and magnetic field values acquired through the experiments. In this experiment, maximum pumping current has been achieved to about 1280 amps.

  • Recently, many researches on the system of superconducting power supply and superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) using high temperature superconducting (HTS) tapes has been progressed. Those kinds of superconducting devices use the heater trigger switches that have a control delay problem at moments of heating up and cooling down. One way to reduce the time delay is using a different HTS tape at trigger part. For example, HTS tape having lower critical temperature can reduce time delay of heating up and heating down stage for heater trigger operation. This paper deals with resistances joint with different kinds of HTS tapes which have different properties to verify usefulness of the suggested method. Three kinds of commercial HTS tapes with different specifications are selected as samples and two kinds of solders are used for comparison. Joint is performed with temperature and pressure controllable joint machine and the joint characteristics are analyzed under the repeatable conditions.

Compressive Shear and Bending Performance of Compressed Laminated Wood after Microwave Heating

  • To manufacture laminated wood with improved mechanical properties by providing uniform adhesiveness, the adhesive was applied and the plate adhesive was laminated on the wood surface. Then, after laminating the wood on the top part of the adhesivebond, it was heated and dried while the adhesive was stiffened using microwaves, and the test piece was manufactured by compressing it with the press machine for thirty minutes. The temperature and the water content were examined according to the heating time of the wood heated with the microwave, and testing was conducted on the shear strength and flexural strength of the wood. In addition, the microstructure of the adhesive bond between the wood was recorded to confirm the penetrabilityinto the wood structure for the adhesive. After the test was conducted, it was found that the test piece manufactured with wood that has its water content leveled with the microwave heating showed improved shear strength and bending strength compared to the standard test piece. With regard to adhesives, liquefied polyvinyl acetate resin and plate's PVB resin were found to have superior adhesive strength. Also, after filming the cellular microstructure, it was found that when the laminated wood is heated with microwaves, the infiltration of the adhesive into the inside of the wood becomes easy, which makes it effective for improving adhesiveness.

  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) has newly evolved by the mechanical improvement of the machine over past several years, becoming a part of imaging techniques for the evaluation of variable diseases in the musculoskeletal system. MSUS has proven diagnostic superiority in pathologies including rotator cuff disease of the shoulder, lateral epicondylitis of the elbow, diseases of the peripheral nerve, detection of intra-articular loose bodies and soft tissue foreign bodies, and in evaluating small superficial soft tissue tumors such as ganglion, epidermoid cyst, and glomus tumor. Besides, MSUS is very useful for obtaining tissue or fluid via percutaneous fine needle aspiration and/or biopsy for the histopathologic diagnosis. Combining MSUS with MR would play a great role in the field of the diagnostic imaging of the musculoskeletal system. The MSUS examiner should have the knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, and of the mechanical and physical properties of ultrasound in order to interpret the ultrasound findings accurately and properly, and to avoid diagnostic errors due to variable artifacts subsequently. The goal of this article is to introduce the capabilities of MSUS in certain kinds of clinical situation and to familiarize the reader with MSUS. For the purpose, author intends to describe this article according not to the disease-, or organ-based, but to the clinical problem-based format.
