MBS의 발행구조, 가치평가 몇 투자자 특성에 관한 연구 (Effects of Security Design and Investor Utilities on the Valuation of Mortgage-Backed Securities)

  • 모기지유동화증권(Mortgage-Backed Securities : MBS)의 도입과 변화를 주도한 근본적인 원인은 투자자 혹은 차입자의 효용 제고 및 욕구 충족에 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 사실에 주목하여 MBS의 발행 구조에 따라 그 가치가 변동할 수 있음을 이론 모형으로 정립, 증명, 분석 및 해석한다. 구체적으로 자동이체증권과 PAC-Support CMO라는 차별적 발행구조의 두 MBS의 가치를 투자자의 효용의 관점에서 파악하고 발행구조에 따라 후자가 전자보다 더 큰 가치를 창출할 수 있음을 이론적으로 보인다. 한편 모기지 및 MBS의 가치평가에 재금융(refinancing)으로 인한 조기상환 위험의 평가가 매우 중요하며, 재금융은 이자율의 등락 및 과거 이자율의 경로에 의하여 크게 영향 받기 때문에 이를 3기간 모형으로 반영하여 MBS의 가치평가를 시도하였다. 특히 소진현상(burnout)을 모형에 명확히 반영하여 이 현상이 MBS의 현금흐름, 위험 및 가치에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 본 연구 결과 동일한 현금흐름 및 위험을 제시하는 MBS보다 차별적으로 설계된 MBS가 선호될 수 있으며 후자의 가치를 극대화하는 최적의 발행 구조가 존재함이 인정된다.

  • In this paper, we analyze system level and link level performance for MB-OFDM UWB system. we propose physical layer model of MB-OFDM UWB system in MBOA. For this analysis, Base-band channel model from IEEE 802.15 3a was adopted. we considered the channel index parameter to select any one of 100 distinct realizations provided by the IEEE working group. Our experimental results indicate BER values according to Es/No.

  • 정보화 사회로의 이전에 따라 사회전반의 기반구조 및 경제 사회 활동이 정보통신 인프라에 의존하게 되고 기반구조와 운영 소프트웨어들의 취약점으로 인한 인터넷의 보안 문제는 많은 심각한 문제점들을 드러내고 있다. 특히 해킹 기법과 바이러스들이 점차 자동화, 지능화, 대중화, 분산화, 대규모화, 은닉화 되어감에 따라 이들에 대한 효과적이 대처 방안이 요구되어지고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 점차 지능화 되어가는 네트워크 상의 위협들에 관해 조사 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 MIB 기반의 보안관리 시스템 모델을 제안하고자 한다.

활성탄(活性炭) 흡착(吸着)에 의한 취기유발물질(臭氣誘發物質) 제거(除去)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) -GEOSMIN, 2-MIB를 중심으로- (A Study on the Removal of Taste and Odor Compounds by Activated Carbon Adsorption)

  • The occurrence of objectionable tastes and odors in drinking water is a common and widespread problem. The most troublesome odors are usually those described as muddy or earthy-musty. Two organic compounds which have been implicated as the cause of earthy-musty odor problems in water are geosmin and 2-Methylisoborneol. These earthy-musty organics have been shown to be metabolites of actinomycetes and blue green algae. The purpose of this paper is to describe adsorbability in removing these two oder causing compounds(geosmin and 2-MIB) upon various conditions like pH variation, adding humic acid and different activated carbon. The conclusion of this study are as followings. In batch test, carbon dosage is 10mg/100ml for geosmin and 15mg/100ml for 2-MIB. Both were in equilibrium state after 60 hours. In model simulation, F-P model described experiment data and modelling data appropriately in geosmin but F-S model not. In case of 2-MIB, models didn't describe relation between experiment and modelling data well. Two causative agents of earthy-musty odor compounds, geosmin and 2-MIB, are strongly adsorbed by activated carbon either coconut or brown. There appears to be no effect of pH (3,7,9) on adsorption of these two organics. Activated carbon proved to be more effective for removing geosmin than for removing 2-MIB. When activated carbon is. used in removing these two organics, the removal of these appeared to be adversely affected by back ground organic compounds, such as humic substances, due to competitive adsorption.

Biosorption of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution using Dried Rhodotorula glutinis Biomass

  • The biosorption of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution was investigated using dried Rhodotorula glutinis as the biosorbent. The effects of pH, initial dye concentration, biosorbent dosage, and kinetic studies were determined to obtain valuable information for biosorption. Results indicated that most of the adsorbed MB bound within 30 minutes of contact and the MB adsorption capacity increased from 21.1 to 101.8 mg/g with the initial MB concentration increased from 50 to 300 mg/L. Additionally, the MB adsorption capacity gradually increased from pH 4.0 to 9.0, reaching its peak at an initial pH of 9.0. As the biomass load was increased from 0.25 to 4.0 g/L, the MB removal efficiency increased from 14.1 to 84.5%. The Langmuir model provided the best fit throughout the concentration range, and the maximum adsorption capacity (qmax) and Langmuir constant (b) were determined to be 135.14 mg/g and 0.026 l/mg, respectively. Furthermore, the biosorbent process of R. glutinis was found to follow pseudo-second-order kinetics and the calculated qeq,cal value showed good agreement with the experimental qeq value. Overall, the biosorption of MB by R. glutinis can be characterized as a monolayer, single site type phenomenon, and the rate-limiting step was determined to be the chemical reaction between the adsorbent and the adsorbate.

Membrane-bound p35 Subunit of IL-12 on Tumor Cells is Functionally Equivalent to Membrane-bound Heterodimeric Single Chain IL-12 for Induction of Anti-tumor Immunity

  • In this study, we compared two different tumor cell vaccines for their induction of anti-tumor immunity; one was a tumor cell clone expressing a membrane-bound form of IL-12 p35 subunit (mbIL-12 p35 tumor clone), and the other was a tumor clone expressing heterodimeric IL-12 as a single chain (mb-scIL-12 tumor clone). The stimulatory effect of mb-scIL-12 on the proliferation of ConA-activated splenocytes was higher than that of mbIL-12 p35 in vitro. However, the stimulatory effect of mbIL-12 p35 was equivalent to that of recombinant soluble IL-12 (3 ng/ml). Interestingly, both tumor clones (mbIL-12 p35 and mb-scIL-12) showed similar tumorigenicity and induction of systemic anti-tumor immunity in vivo, suggesting that tumor cell expression of the membrane-bound p35 subunit is sufficient to induce anti-tumor immunity in our tumor vaccine model.

Enhancement of Methylene Blue-induced Cytotoxicity in Human Brain Tumor Cells by an Iron Chelator, Deferoxamine

  • Previously, we have reported that methylene blue (MB) induces cytotoxicity in human brain tumor cells through the generation of free radicals. In this study the effect of deferoxamine (DFO), an iron chelator, on MB-induced cytotoxicity was investigated using SK-N-MC human neuroblastoma and U-373 MG human astrocytoma cells as model cellular systems. The cytotoxic effect of MB was potentiated by DFO. The potentiation effect of DFO was significantly blocked by either stoichiometric amounts of ferric ion, various antioxidants, hydroxyl radical scavengers or intracellular $Ca^{2+}$ release blockers. These results suggest that hydroxyl radical and intracellular $Ca^{2+}$ may act as important mediators of the enhanced cytotoxicity by MB and DFO. These results further suggest that the combined treatment with MB and DFO may be useful for the therapeutical applications of human brain tumors.

  • 본 논문에서는 Wireless PAN(WPAN)을 위하여 IEEE 802.15.3a의 표준안으로 제안된 Ultra WideBand(UWB) Multi-Band OFDM(MB-OFDM) 시스템에서의 프리앰블 모델을 분석하교, 효율적이며 향상된 성능을 제공하는 심볼 타이밍 및 반송파 주파수 오프셋 추정 알고리즘을 적용한 후 AWGN 및 UWB 채널 환경에서 모의 실험을 통하여 심볼 타이밍 오프셋 추정 성능은 Detection Probability, False Alarm Probability, Missing Probability 및 Mean Acquisition Time으로, 반송파 주파수 오프셋 추정 성능은 MSE(Mean Square Error)로 확인한다.

Optimization of methylene blue adsorption by pumice powder

  • The main objective of this study is to evaluate adsorptive removal of Methylene Blue (MB) dye from aqueous solution using pumice powder. The effects of pH, adsorption time, agitation speed, adsorbent dose, and dye concentrations on dye adsorption were investigated. Process kinetics and isotherm model constants were determined accordingly. The results showed that adsorbent dose, dye concentration and agitation speed are the important parameters on dye adsorption and the removal of MB did not significantly change by varying pH. A total adsorption process time of 60 min was observed to be sufficient to effectively remove 50 mg/L MB concentration. The MB adsorption data obeyed both pseudo first order and second order kinetic models. Adsorption of MB by pumice fitted well both Langmiur and Freundlich isotherms ($R^2{\geq}0.9700$), except for 150 rpm agitation speed that system fitted only Langmiur isotherm. The results of this study emphasize that pumice powder can be used as a low cost and effective adsorbent for dye removal.
