Satellites with flexible lightweight solar panels are sensitive to vibration that is caused by internal actuators such as reaction or momentum wheels which are used to control the attitude of the satellite. Any infinitesimal amount of unbalance in the reaction wheels rotors will impose a harmonic excitation which may interact with the solar panels structure. Therefore, quenching the solar panel's vibration is of a practical importance. In the present work, the panels are modeled as laminated composite beam using first-order shear deformation laminated plate theory which accounts for rotational inertia as well as shear deformation effects. The vibration suppression is achieved by bonding patches of piezoelectric material with suitable dimensions at selected locations along the panel. These patches are actuated by driving control voltages. The governing equations for the system are formulated and the dynamic Green's functions are used to present an exact yet simple solution for the problem. A guide lines is proposed for determining the values of the driving voltage in order to suppress the induced vibration.

The higher order harmonic components of magnetostriction during ac magnetization in 3% SiFe are measured as a function of the magnetizing angle respect to [001] axis using a constructed laser interferometry. The magnetostriction with magnetizing angle from [001] axis agrees ith the calculation based on domain reorientation. The relative amplitudes of odd and even harmonics respectively for magnetic induction and magnetostriction decrease with the order of harmonics, accompanying the contraction of the amplitudes. The contraction of harmonics order of magnetostriction harmonics is shown to be the even number times of that of magnetic induction.

This work is an attempt to design a dynamic model for a non local bio-thermoelastic medium with diffusion. The system of governing equations are formulated in terms of displacement vector field, chemical potential and the tissue temperature in the context of non local dual phase lag (NL DPL) theories of heat conduction and mass diffusion. Based on this considered model, we study the fundamental solution and propagation of plane harmonic waves in tissues. In order to analyze the behavior of the NL DPL model, we construct basic theorem in the terms of elementary function which determine the existence of three longitudinal and one transverse wave. The effects of various parameters on the characteristics of waves i.e., phase velocity and attenuation coefficients are elaborated by plotting various figures of physical quantities in the later part of the paper.
We exhibit various properties of the weighted Berezin operator Tα and its iteration Tkα on Lp(𝜏), where α > -1 and 𝜏 is the invariant measure on the complex unit ball Bn. Iterations of Tα on L1R(𝜏) the space of radial integrable functions have performed important roles in proving 𝓜-harmonicity of bounded functions with invariant mean value property. We show differences between the case of 1 < p < ∞ and p = 1, ∞ under the infinite iteration of Tα or the infinite summation of iterations, most of which are extensions or related assertions to the propositions of the previous results.
Eringen's nonlocal thermoelasticity theory is used to study wave propagations in a rotating two-temperature thermoelastic half-space with temperature-dependent properties. Using suitable non-dimensional variables, the harmonic wave analysis is used to convert the partial differential equations to ordinary differential equations solving the problem. The modulus of elasticity is given as a linear function of the reference temperature. MATLAB software is used for numerical calculations. Comparisons are carried out with the results in the context of the dual-phase lag model for different values of rotation, a nonlocal parameter, an inclined load, and an empirical material constant. The distributions of physical fields showed that the nonlocal parameter, rotation, and inclined load have great effects. When a nonlocal thermoelastic media is swapped out for a thermoelastic one, this approach still holds true.

The MMIC cascode VCO is designed, fabricated, and measured for Ku-band Low Noise Blcok(LNB) system using InGaP/GaAs HBT technology. The phase noise of -116.4 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset with output power of 1.3 dBm is obtained at 11.526 GHz by applying 3 V and 11 mA, which is comparatively better characteristics than compared with the different configuration VCOs fabricated with other technologies. The simulated results of oscillation frequency and second harmonic suppression agree with the measured results. The phase noise is improved due to the use of the smallest value of inductor in frequency determining network and the InGaP ledge function of the technology. The chip size of $830\time781\;{\mu}m^2$ is also achieved.

A UHF CMOS variable gain low-noise amplifier (LNA) is designed for mobile digital TV tuners. The proposed LNA adopts a feedback topology to cover a wide frequency range from 474 to 868 MHz, and it supports the notch filter function for the interoperability with the GSM terminal. In order to handle harmonic distortion by strong interferers, the gain of the proposed LNA is step-controlled while keeping almost the same input impedance. The proposed LNA is implemented in a $0.11{\mu}m$ CMOS process and consumes 6 mA at a 1.5 V supply voltage. In the measurement, it shows the power gain of greater than 16 dB, NF of less than 1.7 dB, and IIP3 of greater than -1.7 dBm for the UHF band.
In this paper, the feedforward control with least mean square (LMS) adaptive algorithm is proposed and examined to reduce rotating error by runout of an active magnetic bearing system. Using eddy-current type gap sensor fur control, the electrical runout caused by non-uniform material properties of sensor target produces rotational error amplified in feedback control loop, so this runout should be eliminated to increase rotating accuracy. The adaptive feedforward controller is designed and examined its tracking and stability performances numerically with established frequency response function. The tested grinding spindle system is manufactured with a 5.5 ㎾ internal motor and 5-axis active magnetic bearing system including 5 eddy current gap sensors which have approximately 15 ~ 30 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of electrical runout. According to the experimental analysis, the error signal in radial bearings is reduced to less than 5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ when it is rotating up to 50,000 rpm due to applying the feedforward control for first order harmonic frequency, and vibration of the spindle base is also reduced about same frequency.

ZnTe semiconductor is very attractive materials for optoelectronic devices in the visible green spectral region because of it has direct bandgap of 2.26 eV. The prototypes of ZnTe light emitting diodes (LEDs) have been reported [1], showing that their green emission peak closely matches the most sensitive region of the human eye. Another application to photovoltaics proved that ZnTe is useful for the production of high-efficiency multi-junction solar cells [2,3]. By using the pulse laser deposition system, ZnTe thin films were deposited on ZnO thin layer, which is grown on (0001) Al2O3substrates. To produce the plasma plume from an ablated ZnO and ZnTe target, a pulsed (10 Hz) YGA:Nd laser with energy density of 95 mJ/$cm^2$ and wavelength of 266 nm by a nonlinear fourth harmonic generator was used. The laser spot focused on the surface of the ZnO and ZnTe target by using an optical lens was approximately 1 mm2. The base pressure of the chamber was kept at a pressure around $10^{-6}$ Torr by using a turbo molecular pump. The oxygen gas flow was controlled around 3 sccm by using a mass flow controller system. During the ZnTe deposition, the substrate temperature was $400^{\circ}C$ and the ambient gas pressure was $10^{-2}$ Torr. The structural properties of the samples were analyzed by XRD measurement. The optical properties were investigated by using the photoluminescence spectra obtained with a 325 nm wavelength He-Cd laser. The film surface and carrier concentration were analyzed by an atomic force microscope and Hall measurement system.

In this study, the dynamic behavior of functionally graded layered deep beams with viscoelastic core is investigated including the porosity effect. The material properties of functionally graded layers are assumed to vary continuously through thickness direction according to the power-law function. To investigate porosity effect in functionally graded layers, three different distribution models are considered. The viscoelastically cored deep beam is exposed to harmonic sinusoidal load. The composite beam is modeled based on plane stress assumption. The dynamic equations of motion of the composite beam are derived based on the Hamilton principle. Within the framework of the finite element method (FEM), 2D twelve -node plane element is exploited to discretize the space domain. The discretized finite element model is solved using the Newmark average acceleration technique. The validity of the developed procedure is demonstrated by comparing the obtained results and good agreement is detected. Parametric studies are conducted to demonstrate the applicability of the developed methodology to study and analyze the dynamic response of viscoelastically cored porous functionally graded deep beams. Effects of viscoelastic parameter, porosity parameter, graduation index on the dynamic behavior of porous functionally graded deep beams with viscoelastic core are investigated and discussed. Material damping and porosity have a significant effect on the forced vibration response under harmonic excitation force. Increasing the material viscosity parameters results in decreasing the vibrational amplitudes and increasing the vibration time period due to increasing damping effect. Obtained results are supportive for the design and manufacturing of such type of composite beam structures.
