  • In photovoltaic(PV) generator systems, DC-DC converters are significantly considered for control system performance in power quality point of view. This paper presents a novel adaptive control method for DC-DC converters applied in PV generator systems. First, we derive a state-space average model of the converter system and then propose a reset control methodology to enhance transient response performance for time-varying PV systems. For estimating parameters of a reset control, a gradient descent optimization is utilized and an adjustment rule of them are derived respectively. An objective of the optimization is that characteristic equation of an augmented system model which is formed with an converter system model and an reset control is to trace a predefined polynomial given as a reference characteristic model. Next, we accomplish stability analysis by means of a well-known Lyapunov theory for nonlinear converter systems including time-varying voltage excitation from a PV generator. Numerical simulation demonstrates reliability of our control methodology and its superiority by comparison to a traditional control strategy.

  • A new controller which can achieve the asymptotic tracking is proposed for the nonlinear system having a uncertainty in the input coefficient. A high gain observer is used to estimate the state variables when the nonlinear system has a modeling uncertainty. A variable structure control is used to achieve an asymptotic tracking, while ultimate boundness was achieved in the previous work. A Lyapunov analysis is used to justify the our proposal. The performance of proposed method is demonstrated via simulation.

  • Modeling nonlinear friction effects is a challenging problem. In this paper, a tracking controller is proposed for a system with uncertain nonlinear friction dynamics. Instead of using a specific friction model, we assume that the friction dynamics are represented by a function, which is unknown except its being continuously differentiable and Lipschitz continuous with known Lipschitz constants. It is shown that the scheme results in friction identification and trajectory position and velocity tracking. The analysis is done using Lyapunov-based stability method.

  • Overhead crane systems consist of trolley, girder, rope, objects, trolley motor, girder motor, and hoist motor. The dynamic system of these systems becomes a nonlinear state equations. These equations are obtained by the nonlinear equations of motion which are derived from transfer functions of driving motors and equations of motion for objects. From these state equations, Lyapunov functions of overhead crane systems are derived from integral method. These functions secure stability of autonomous overhead crane systems. Also constraint equations of driving motors of trolley, girder, and hoist are derived from these functions. From the results of computer simulation, it is founded that overhead crane systems is secure.

  • In this paper, a class of more general delayed viral infection model with lytic immune response is proposed by Song et al.[1] ([Journal of Mathematical Analysis Application 373 (2011), 345-355). We derive the basic reproduction numbers $R_0$ and $R_0^*$ 0 for the viral infection, and establish that the global dynamics are completely determined by the values of $R_0$ and $R_0^*$. If $R_0{\leq}1$, the viral-free equilibrium $E_0$ is globally asymptotically stable; if $R_0^*{\leq}1$ < $R_0$, the immune-free equilibrium $E_1$ is globally asymptotically stable; if $R_0^*$ > 1, the chronic-infection equilibrium $E_2$ is globally asymptotically stable by using the method of Lyapunov function.

  • This paper proposea a new adaptive algorithm to improve the performance fo a robust adaptive control system. This adaptive algorithm counteracts the effects of disturbances and makes the time derivative of Lyapunov function non-positive, $V{\leq}0$. As a result, the output error approaches zero as $t\;\rightarrow\;\infty$ not only in the presence of bounded disturbances, but also in the ideal case. The effectiveness of this proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the stability analysis and simulation results.

  • In this paper, we propose a robust controller for motion control of n-link robot manipulators using visual feedback. The desired joint velocity and acceleration is obtained by the feature-based visual systems and is used in the joint velocity control loop for trajectory control of the robot manipulator. We design a robust controller that compensates for bounded parametric uncertainties of robot dynamics. The stability analysis of robust joint velocity control system is shown by Lyapunov Method. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by simulation results on the 5-link robot manipulators with two degree of freedom.

  • This paper is concerned with an Adaptive Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control(AFSMC) that the fuzzy systems are used to approximate the unknown functions of nonlinear system. In the adaptive fuzzy system. we adopt the adaptive law to approximate the dynamics of the nonlinear plant and to adjust the parameters of AFSMC. The stability of the suggested control system is proved via Lyapunov stability theorem. and convergence and robustness properties are demonstrated. The simulation results demonstrate that the performance is improved and the system also exhibits stability.

  • This paper presents a motion coordination of two robot manipulators coordinating an object. To coordinate the object, a force/position control scheme in a mode of leaer/follower is devised. The dynamics of the object are incorporated into the dynamics of the leader arm, which yields a reduced order model of two arm system. In order to regulate interaction forces between two arm, the dynamics of the follower arm are expressed as force dynamic equations such that a novel direct forces between two arms and two different type of bounded input disturbances, boundedness and asymptotic stability results based on a proposed Lyapunov function are shown. Also, a sufficient condition for a stability robustness is derived based on the Lyapunov approach.

  • Applied by periodic Stimulating Currents in Bonhoeffer -Van der Pol(BVP) model, chaotic and periodic phenomena occured at specific conditions. The conditions of the chaotic motion in BVP comprised 0.7182< $A_1$ <0.792 and 1.09< $A_1$ <1.302 proved by the analysis of phase plane, bifurcation diagram, and lyapunov exponent. To control the chaotic motion, two methods were suggested by the first used the amplitude parameter A1, $A1={\varepsilon}((x-x_s)-(y-y_s))$ and the second used the temperature parameterc, $c=c(1+{\eta}cos{\Omega}t)$ which the values of ${\eta},{\Omega}$ varied respectlvly, and $x_s$, $y_s$ are the periodic signal. As a result of simulating these methods, the chaotic phenomena was controlled with the periodic motion of periodisity. The feasibilities of the chaotic and the periodic phenomena were analysed by phase plane Poincare map and lyapunov exponent.
