  • As Internet of Things (IoT) is recently serviced in several fields, the reliability and safety issues for IoT embedded systems are emerged. During the development of embedded systems, it is not easy to build the virtual execution environment and to test the developing version. Therefore, it is difficult to ensure its reliability due to lack of unit testing. In this paper, we propose a log-based unit testing framework for embedded software, which performs on real target board by extracting information of function execution. And, according to execution paths, duplicated logs are eliminated to keep a minimal log size. As a result, during system testing, testers can efficiently decide whether the executed paths of each function are correctly performed or not.

  • This paper deals with the problem of testing on the shape parameter in the log-logistic distribution. We propose default Bayesian testing procedures for the shape parameter under the reference priors. The reference prior is usually improper which yields a calibration problem that makes the Bayes factor to be defined up to a multiplicative constant. We can solve the this problem by the intrinsic Bayes factor and the fractional Bayes factor. Therefore we propose the default Bayesian testing procedures based on the fractional Bayes factor and the intrinsic Bayes factors under the reference priors. Simulation study and an example are provided.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest an effective regression testing method in order to minimize the scope of test resulting from the modification of software and to prevent mismatch of test case and test objects. As a way to improve the efficiency of regression testing which uses a change-centric testing technique, the method flow is analyzed and grasped through a static analysis based on source code in order to identify modified parts. After the order of priority is set according to the results of user action log-based dynamic analysis on identified regression testing objects, test effect can be raised by adjusting the order of priority using code complexity. Quality assurance coverage can be checked using the user action log suggested in this study, and the progress of test and whether or not each function has been verified can be checked, too. In addition, by minimizing test parts and adjusting the order of test, costs and time can be saved, making it possible to conduct regression testing effectively.

  • In this paper, the ratio of parameters in two independent Maxwell distributions is parameter of interest. We proposed test statistics, which converge to standard normal distribution, based on likelihood function. The exact distribution for testing the ratio is hard to obtain. We proposed the signed log-likelihood ratio statistic and the modified signed log-likelihood ratio statistic for testing the ratio. Through simulation, we show that the modified signed log-likelihood ratio statistic converges faster than signed log-likelihood ratio statistic to standard normal distribution. We compare two statistics in terms of type I error and power. We give an example using real data.

  • In this paper, we present several confidence measures (CM) for speech recognition systems to evaluate the reliability of recognition results. We propose heuristic CMs such as mean log-likelihood score, N-best word log-likelihood ratio, likelihood sequence fluctuation and likelihood ratio testing(LRT)-based CMs using several types of anti-models. Furthermore, we propose new algorithms to add weighting terms on phone-level log-likelihood ratio to merge word-level log-likelihood ratios. These weighting terms are computed from the distance between acoustic models and knowledge-based phoneme classifications. LRT-based CMs show better performance than heuristic CMs excessively, and LRT-based CMs using phonetic information show that the relative reduction in equal error rate ranges between $8{\sim}13%$ compared to the baseline LRT-based CMs. We use the support vector machine to fuse several CMs and improve the performance of utterance verification. From our experiments, we know that selection of CMs with low correlation is more effective than CMs with high correlation.

  • Let us consider that the variance function in regression model has a discontinuity/change point at unknown location. Yu and Jones (2004) proposed the local polynomial fit to estimate the log-variance function which break the positivity of the variance. Using the local polynomial fit, Huh (2008) estimate the discontinuity point of the log-variance function. We propose a test for the existence of a discontinuity point in the log-variance function with the estimated jump size in Huh (2008). The proposed method is based on the asymptotic distribution of the estimated jump size. Numerical works demonstrate the performance of the method.

  • In this paper accelerated life testing is incorporated in quality control technique of acceptance sampling plan to induce early failures in high reliability products.Stress under accelerated condition can be applied in constant-stress, step-stress and progressive-stress or combination of such loadings. A ramp-stress results when stress is increased linearly (from zero) with time. In this paper optimum failure-censored ramp-stress accelerated life test sampling plan for log-logistic distribution has been formulated with cost considerations. The log-logistic distribution has been found appropriate for insulating materials. The optimal plans consist in finding optimum sample size, sample proportion allocated to each stress, and stress rate factor such that producer's and consumer's interests are safeguarded. Variance optimality criterion is used when expected cost per lot is not taken into consideration, and bilevel programming approach is used in cost optimization problems. The methods developed have been illustrated using some numerical examples, and sensitivity analyses carried out in the context of ramp-stress ALTSP based on variable SSP for proportion nonconforming.

  • In this study, software products developed in the course of testing, software managers in the process of testing software and tools for effective learning effects perspective has been studied using the NHPP software. The log type hazard function applied to distribution was based on finite failure NHPP. Software error detection techniques known in advance, but influencing factors for considering the errors found automatically and learning factors, by prior experience, to find precisely the error factor setting up the testing manager are presented comparing the problem. As a result, the learning factor is greater than autonomous errors-detected factor that is generally efficient model could be confirmed. This paper, a failure data analysis of applying using time between failures and parameter estimation using maximum likelihood estimation method, after the efficiency of the data through trend analysis model selection were efficient using the mean square error and $R^2$(coefficient of determination).

  • Log-rank is widely used for testing equality of two survival functions, and this method is efficient only under the proportional hazard assumption. However, crossing survival functions are common in practice. Therefore, many approaches have been suggested to test equality of them. This study considered several methods; Renyi type test, modified Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Cramer-von Mises test, and weighted Log-rank test, which can be applied when the survival functions cross, and simulated power of those methods. Based on the simulation results, we provide the useful information to choose a suitable approach in a given situation.
