  • This study explores the effects on development of poor children by community-based orchestra educational activities and the orchestra educational activities factors for promoting the effects using longitudinal data are those collected for "The Evaluation of the Impact of Our Neighborhood Orchestra on Children's Learning" made by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. For these purposes, this study employed a latent growth model analysis of the factors such as depression, aggressive behavior, communality and interpersonal relationship of development of poor children and evaluation, satisfaction, outsiders'attention and participation of facilitative factors. The result shows that they displayed significantly positive development in depression, aggressive behavior, and interpersonal relationship. It appears that the evaluation on music achievement had a positive impact on the rate of change in communality, while the evaluation on attitude had an impact in the initial value of depression, aggressive behavior, and communality, also the sense of satisfaction had a positive impact on the initial value of communality and interpersonal relationship in conditional models. And parents' attention and participation had a negative impact on the initial value of aggressive behavior, while the attention and participation of the community showed a positive impact on the initial value of depression and aggressive behavior. Based on these results, this study attempted to broaden the understanding of the development of poor children taking part in orchestra-based educational activities and provide a practical basis for social workers' direct invention, and look for new ways by shedding light on the merits of the cultural/art education of poor children that engage in the community-based orchestra educational activities.

  • As the aviation industry has rapidly been grown, there are more factors for customers to consider when choosing an airline. In response, airlines are trying to increase customer value by providing high-quality services and differentiated experiential value. While early customer value research centered on utilitarian value, which is the trade-off between cost and benefit in terms of utility for products and services, the importance of experiential value has recently been emphasized. However, experiential value needs to be studied in a specific context that fully represents customer preferences because what constitutes customer value changes depending on the product or service context. In addition, customer value has an important influence on customers' decision-making, so it is necessary for airlines to accurately understand what constitutes customer value. In this study, we collected customer reviews and ratings from Skytrax, a website specializing in airlines, and utilized the BERTopic technique to derive factors of customer value. The results revealed nine factors that constitute customer value in airlines, and six of them are related to customer satisfaction. This study proposes a new methodology that enables a granular understanding of customer value and provides airlines with specific directions for improving service quality.

  • Korean arboretums where a large number of people are visiting could not do visitor's satisfaction in qualitative side and communication through education and event, although a lot of those things statistically have been doing so far. At this side, it needs an arboretum's segmentation: preparing to an adaptation strategy of a new paradigm, differentiated strategy, and problem solving strategy tied by a similar group for the Korean arboretum visitors. This research tries to classify several patterns with Korean arboretums by visitor's behavior and propose each type of subspecialized management plan after analyzing characteristic of supply and demand. The research for this tries to classify several patterns of Korean arboretum and suggest segmentalzed management plan by types after analyzing characteristics of aspects of demand and supply. By looking at the main patterning result of arboretum as a standard of the demand, there were four sorts of arboretums. In the first, it is the arboretum of intermediate type: not a clear characteristic. In the second, it is an arboretum of multipurpose resort type: strongly demanding motivational factors of a rest, health, access, low cost, experience, learning and sightseeing. In the third, it is an arboretum of theme tour type: a strong sightseeing motivational factor and demanding appreciate scenery. In the last, it is an arboretum of studying and admiring type: demanding a motivational factor of sightseeing landscape and plants, a strong experience and learning.

  • Today's dynamic competitiveness requires an organization to improve its performance measurement and management. Quality Management Systems (QMS) abound, the main ones being: ISO series, Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award (MBNQA), European Forum for Quality Management (EFQM), Six Sigma Business Scorecard and the Balanced Scorecard. Based on the literature, the IPMMM (Integrated Performance Measurement and Management Model) identified 7 key synthesized factors: leadership, strategy management and policy, customer and market, learning and growth, partnership and resources, internal processes and business results that are employed to investigate the key performance indicators of a car assembler using the Delphi methodology. In the 2 rounds of Delphi panels consisting of 20 senior management personnel, the $1^{st}$ round of 198 indicators in the IPMMM yielded 90 indicators. The $2^{nd}$ round yielded 43 performance indicators with 18 rated as critical based on the % assigned in the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ priority rating of "very important factor" and "key performance indicator" that must be ranked high on both of the priorities. The very critical indicators appeared to be: defect percentage and first time capability (tie in $1^{st}$ place) and revenue, goal setting, customer satisfaction index, on-time delivery, brand image, return on investment, Claim Occurrence Ratio, and debt being ranked from $3^{rd}$ to $10^{th}$. It can be surmised that an organization can identify and develop an appropriate set of performance indicators through the Delphi methodology and implement and manage them based on the Balanced Scorecard.

Members of an organization are affected by culture. And dissensions in an organization give negative effects to behavior of the members, especially to satisfaction from organization. This study is on the dissension management by considering of cultural characteristics of pilots. Cultural characteristics of pilots were surveyed and analyzed with the V5M94(values survey module94) which was developed by Hofstede. As results, the cultural indexes of the pilots were different from the national means. The indexes presented that korean pilots' cultural characteristics are low POI, high IDV, low MAS and low UAI as North European cultural characteristics. For managing the pilots group, make expansion of opportunity to take part in decision making, release or share of informations are required. And motivations, delegation, free from unnecessary interventions, understanding and forgiveness rather than disciplinary punishment, thoughtful considerations could be effectiveness. And for developing more effective management methods, management strategies of north european airlines should be studied.

  • Pusan National University School of Medicine (PNUSOM) began analyzing the cohort of pre-medical students admitted in 2015 and has been conducting purposeful analyses for the past 3 years. The aim of this paper is to introduce the process of cohort establishment, cohort composition, and the utilization of cohort analysis results. PNUSOM did not initially form a cohort with a purpose or through a systematic process, but was able to collect longitudinal data on students through the establishment of a Medical Education Information System and an organization that supports medical education. Cohort construction at our university is different in terms of a clear orientation toward research questions, flexibility in cohort composition, and subsequent guideline supplementation. We investigated the relevance of admission factors, performance improvements, satisfaction with the educational environment, and promotion and failure rate in undergraduate students, as well as performance levels and career paths in graduates. The results were presented to the Admissions Committee, Curriculum Committee, Learning Outcomes Committee, and Student Guidance Committee to be used as a basis for innovations and improvements in education. Since cohort studies require long-term efforts, it is necessary to ensure the efficiency of data collection for graduate cohorts, as well as the validity and ethics of the study.

  • Purpose - This research is to empirically explore the differences in apparel consumption among male and female teenagers and college students in Korea and China. By conducting a survey to understand customers' needs and behaviors, fashion businesses will be able to improve their customer satisfaction and avoid redundancy, inventory, and the waste of resources, effort and money. Design/methodology - The research design considers the consumption patterns of male and female high school and college students in Korea and China. To analyze the data, the study employs decision trees, a type of machine learning algorithm. A decision tree model was developed to examine the relationship between the explanatory and response variables, which can be either quantitative or qualitative in nature. Findings - The main findings of this study indicate that there are differences in shopping behavior among different customer segments. The results show that men have a simpler shopping behavior compared to women. Additionally, cultural factors and the difference in fashion needs between students and non-students have a significant impact on the shopping choices of Chinese and Korean individuals. Originality/value - Existing studies often assume that the shopping behavior of high school and university students is similar and that there are no significant differences in clothing purchases between men and women across countries. The results provide valuable insights into the unique shopping behavior of different customer segments, and can inform fashion businesses in their efforts to meet the needs of their customers.
