Effect of thermal conductivity on isotropic modified couple stress thermoelastic medium with two temperatures

  • The objective is to study the deformation in a homogeneous isotropic modified couple stress thermoelastic medium with mass diffusion and with two temperatures due to a thermal source and mechanical force. Laplace and Fourier transform techniques are applied to obtain the solutions of the governing equations. The displacements, stress components, conductive temperature, mass concentration and couple stress are obtained in the transformed domain. Numerical inversion technique has been used to obtain the solutions in the physical domain. Isothermal boundary and insulated boundaryconditions are used to investigate the problem. Some special cases of interest are also deduced.

  • 본 논문에서는 개방형 액체로켓엔진의 각 구성품에 대한 일반적인 수학적 비선형 모델을 먼저 작성하고, 액체로켓엔진의 동특성 경향 파악/안정성 판별을 위해 구성된 비선형 모델을 선형 모델(Laplace 변환)로 재구성하였으며, Matlab/Simulink을 통해 액체로켓엔진에 대한 전체 선형 모델을 구성하였다.

  • The model of two-temperature magneto-thermoelasticity for a non-simple variable-thermal-conductivity infinitely-long solid cylinder is established. The present cylinder is made of an isotropic homogeneous thermoelastic material and its bounding plane is traction-free and subjected to a time-dependent temperature. An exact solution is firstly obtained in Laplace transform space to obtain the displacement, incremental temperature, and thermal stresses. The inversion of Laplace transforms has been carried out numerically since the response is of more interest in the transient state. A detailed analysis of the effects of phase-lags, an angular frequency of thermal vibration and the variability of thermal conductivity parameter on the field quantities is presented.

  • The problem of generalized thermoelasticity of two-temperature for finite piezoelectric rod will be modified by applying three different types of heating applications namely, thermal shock, ramp-type heating and harmonically vary heating. The solutions will be derived with direct approach by the application of Laplace transform and the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional order derivative. The inverse Laplace transforms are numerically evaluated with the help of a method formulated on Fourier series expansion. The results obtained for the conductive temperature, the dynamical temperature, the displacement, the stress and the strain distributions have represented graphically using MATLAB.

  • In this work, we compare the analytical solutions with the numerical solutions for photothermal interactions in semiconductor medium containing cylindrical cavity. This paper is devoted to a study of the photothermal interactions in semiconductor medium in the context of the coupled photo-thermal model. The basic equations are formulated in the domain of Laplace transform and the eigenvalue scheme are used to get the analytical solutions. The numerical solution is obtained by using the implicit finite difference method (IFDM). A comparison between the analytical solution and the numerical solutions are obtained. It is found that the implicit finite difference method (IFDM) is applicable, simple and efficient for such problems.

Analysis of photothermal response in a two-dimensional semiconducting material thermally excited by pulse heat flux

  • A mathematical model of Lord-Shulman photo-thermal theorem induced by pulse heat flux is presented to study the propagations waves for plasma, thermal and elastic in two-dimensional semiconductor materials. The medium is assumed initially quiescent. By using Laplace-Fourier transforms with the eigenvalue method, the variables are obtained analytically. A semiconductor medium such as silicon is investigated. The displacements, stresses, the carrier density and temperature distributions are calculated numerically and clarified graphically. The outcomes show that thermal relaxation time has varying degrees of effects on the studying fields.

  • The dynamic response of an eccentric Griffith crack in functionally graded piezoelectric ceramic strip under anti-plane shear impact loading is ana lysed using integral transform method. Laplace transform and Fourier transform are used to reduce the problem to two pairs of dual integral equations, which are then expressed to Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. We assume that the properties of the functionally graded piezoelectric material vary continuously along the thickness. The impermeable crack boundary condition is adopted. Numerical values on the dynamic stress intensity factors are presented for the functionally graded piezoelectric material to show the dependence of the gradient of material properties and electric loadings.

차량 감/가속시의 엔진의 동적 응답 해석 (Analysis of Transient Response of an Engine to Throttle Tip-in/Tip-out)

  • In this paper dynamic responses of an engine, which is supported by hydraulic mount, to throttle tip-in/Tip out are analyzed. Because the hydraulic mounts have non-linearity that the characteristics of stiffness and damping vary with frequencies, it is difficult to analyze the dynamic behavior of an engine using general integral algorithms. Convolution integral and relationship between unit impulse response functions and frequency response functions are therefore used to simulate the transient behaviors of an engine indirectly. In time domain, impulse response functions are calculated by two-side discrete inverse courier transform of frequency response function achieved by laplace transform of equations of motion. Considering the fact that the shapes of behavior of an engine simulated by the proposed method are in good agreement with test results, it is confirmed that the proposed method is very effective for the analysis of transient response to throttle tip-in/out of an engine with hydraulic mounts.

  • This paper discusses the development of a reactive power controller using digital signal processing. Digital Signal Processing is the technique of using digital devices to Process continuous signals or data, often in real-time. And DSP algorithms are associated with a discrete time interval between input samples. When one designs a digital filter, one can use a Laplace transform to determine the continuous time frequency response. The corresponding discrete time transform is called Z transform and depends upon discrete samples of the input spaced equally in time. The objectives of this paper are to minimize real power losses and improve the power factor of a given system. Also, the implementation of a direct-form non recursive filter on the TMS320C31 has been described. The application of this microprocessor-based controller using DSP on test system reveals its numerous advantages. Performance and features of the controller for the reactive power control are analyzed.
