A Linear Approximation Model for an Asset-based Weapon Target Assignment Problem (자산기반 무기할당 문제의 선형 근사 모형)

  • A missile defense system is composed of radars detecting incoming missiles aiming at defense assets, command control units making the decisions on weapon target assignment, and artillery batteries firing of defensive weapons to the incoming missiles. Although, the technology behind the development of radars and weapons is very important, effective assignment of the weapons against missile threats is much more crucial. When incoming missile targets toward valuable assets in the defense area are detected, the asset-based weapon target assignment model addresses the issue of weapon assignment to these missiles so as to maximize the total value of surviving assets threatened by them. In this paper, we present a model for an asset-based weapon assignment problem with shoot-look-shoot engagement policy and fixed set-up time between each anti-missile launch from each defense unit. Then, we show detailed linear approximation process for nonlinear portions of the model and propose final linear approximation model. After that, the proposed model is applied to several ballistic missile defense scenarios. In each defense scenario, the number of incoming missiles, the speed and the position of each missile, the number of defense artillery battery, the number of anti-missile in each artillery battery, single shot kill probability of each weapon to each target, value of assets, the air defense coverage are given. After running lpSolveAPI package of R language with the given data in each scenario in a personal computer, we summarize its weapon target assignment results specified with launch order time for each artillery battery. We also show computer processing time to get the result for each scenario.

Analysis Distribution and Feature of Lunar Gravity Field Using SGM90d Model (SGM90d모델을 이용한 달 중력장 분포 및 특징 분석)

  • The lunar gravity field is an important source to understand the lunar interior structure, dichotomy and magma ocean of the moon, furthermore it can be used to study the origin and evolution history of the moon. In this paper, we firstly investigated the history of lunar exploration were performed for determining the lunar gravity field, in addition to investigating the procedure of progress related with the lunar gravity field model and gravity observations techniques. After, we determined practically the gravity anomalies of the moon using the new lunar gravity model, SGM90d (SELENE Gravity Model), which were developed by processing the tracking data from SELENE, the japanese lunar mission. Finally, we compared the lunar gravity anomalies from SGM90d model to the those from existing lunar gravity model (LP165P). As results from the comparison, we can make a sense that 4-way Doppler observations of SELENE is very effective to measure the gravity field on the farside of the moon. The precise lunar gravity field model including the farside of the moon which can be more helpful to understand the dichotomy of moon and to establish the detailed distribution of lunar gravity field, such as a mascon.

  • It is weal known that bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulates prostaglandin synthesis in various experimental system via enhancing the expression of cylooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This study was designed to characterize U)5-induced prostaglandin synthesis in mouse peritoneal macrophages LPS-stimulated prostaglandin synthesis in macrophages with short term exposure was not so much prominent, but there was a burst in prostaglandin synthesis 8 hours after the LPS treatment and this u·as accompanied with the increase of cyclooxygenase activity, Dexamethasone markedly inhibited prostaglandin synthesis in this system. Metabolic label ins data supported above observations and thus, it could be concluded that LPS induces the do novo synthesis of COX-2 by which it stimulates the prostaglandin synthesis in mouse peritoneal macrophages, These data suggested that this experimental model system could be used for the screening procedure of COX-2 selective inhibitors. Ketoprofen, a non steroidal anti inflammatory agent, appeared to inhibit COX-1 relatively more selectively than COX-2.

The Noise Evaluation for Ragius 150 CR System (Regius 150 Computed Radiography 시스템의 Noise 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The Noise of CR Systems is made up of X-ray quantum mottle and additional Imaging plate's structure noise, photon noise of lumine cence, noise of electrometer, quantization noise etc. In this Regius 150 system, SNR was increased from 8.2 to 30 with linearily according to radiation dose from 0.1 mR to 100 mR. It means that the Regius 150 system has enough trustability because of SNR is over 5 by Rose Model. NPS was calculated two dementional Fourier Transform with shake of pixel value in the white Image. In the spatial frequence range of $0.5\;lp/mm{\sim}2.5\;lp/mm$, the NPS was distributed $10^{-4}{\sim}10^{-5}$ at 1 mR X-ray dose. That is similar result compare other systems to that of Kodak CR system reported by Carlu, HR-CR system reported by Dobbins.

The Effects of Ethosome and Liposome Formulation Entrapped DL-HGF to Hair Growth Activity in Animal Model (DL-HGF를 주성분으로 한 ethosome 및 liposome 제형화합물이 발모 촉진 활성에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : To investigate the effects of DL-HGF to hair growth activity in mouse, various kinds of ethosome and liposome formulations entrapped DL-HGF were produced and this study was carried out. Methods : The B16/BL6 mice were classified into five groups: vehicle control (Con) group, Et-1-applied group, Et-2-applied group, LP-1-applied group, LP-2-applied group. Active hair growth (anagen) was induced in the back skin by application of a waxosin mixture with subsequent depilation and the activity of hair growth was measured by macroscopic observation and histology. Results : In vehicle control group, there was no hair growth activity during experiment period. In Et-1-applied group, the rate of hair growth was about 100%, LP-1-applied group and Et-2-applied group showed 70-80% and 40-50% of hair growth rates, respectively. The rate of hair growth of LP-2-applied group was lower than other applied groups (20-30%). In H/E staining, Numerous hair folicles and hair shafts were observed in Et-1-applied group and other groups showed lower level of hair folicles and hair shafts formation than Et-1-applied group, Conclusion : Et-1 formulation showed highest hair growth activity than other ethosome and liposome formulations entrapped DL-HGF.

Capsaicin Pharmacopuncture Modulates Ankle Sprain Induced Pain in Rats (Capsaicin 약침(藥鍼)이 흰쥐의 급성(急性) 염좌(捻挫)에 마치는 효과)

  • Objectives: Pharmacopuncture which is a combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine helps to prevent and treat the diseases and symptoms including various pains. However, little was known about the therapeutic effects and its mechanisms on acute pain, although pharmacopuncture has been used frequently in acupuncture clinics. Acupuncture is known for producing analgesia for persistent ankle sprain pain in human. Furthermore, it also produces analgesia in a rat model of ankle sprain pain. Methods: To illuminate the underlying mechanisms of capsaicin pharmacopuncture-induced analgesia, weight bearing force (WBF) was observed on the acute ankle sprained rat model. Ankle sprain was induced in the rat by manually hyper-extending ligaments of the right ankle. Capsaicin pharmacopuncture was applied to SI6 (Yanglo) on the left forelimb (contralateral to the sprained ankle). Results: In behavioral test, capsaicin pharmacopuncture produced marked analgesic effects on acute ankle sprained animals as measured by WBF of the affected limb similar to manual acupuncture. Capsaicin pharmacopuncture was also suppressed by serotonin (5-HT) receptor antagonist methysergide (2 mg/kg, Lp.), but not by opioids receptor antagonist naltrexone (10 mg/kg, Lp.) and alpha adrenoceptor antagonist phentolamine (5 mg/kg, Lp.). Conclusion: The data suggest that capsaicin pharmacopuncture-induced analgesia is accomplished by activating the descending serotonergic inhibitory systems.

  • In this study, we propose a solution procedure to solve travelling salesman problem(TSP) with special cost function, route dependent travelling salesman problem(RDTSP). First, we develop an integer programming model to describe the problem. In the model, a variable means a possible route. And, the number of variables in this model are extremely large. So, we develop a LP relaxation problem of the IP model and solve the relaxation problem by a column generation technique. The relaxation problem does not guarantee the optimal solution. If we get an integer solution in the ralaxation problem, then the solution is an optimal one. But, if not, we cannot get an optimal solution. So, we approach a branch and price technique. The overall solution procedure can be applied a printed circuit board(PCB) assembly process.

  • Available transfer capability(ATC) is an important indicator of the usable amount of transmission capacity accessible by several parties for commercial trading in power transaction activities. This paper deals with an application of optimization technique for available transfer capability(ATC) calculation and analyzes the results of ATC by considering several constraints. Especially several optimization techniques are used to solve the ATC problem with state-steady security constraints. The results are compared with that of repeat power flow(RPF), sequential quadratic programming(SQP) and linear programming(LP). The proposed method is applied to 10 machines 39 buses model systems to show its effectiveness.

  • In this paper, the problem of LP-model and it's solution by liftering in cepstrum domain are investigated in speaker independent isolated-word recognition. And, clustering technique is discussed for obtaining the reference template. KMA (K-means iteration with average) method, which is transformed from UWA method and K-iteration method, has been suggested and compared with each other for clustering, the result of recognition experiments shows max. $95\%$ recognition rate when rasied-sign lifter and KMA clustering method is applied.

  • 포항제철소에는 13개의 발전기가 있어 제철소에서 필요로 하는 전력을 자체적으로 945MWH 규모로 공급하고 있다. 발전소에서 사용되는 에너지원은 제철공정에서 부수적으로 발생하는 부생가스(BFG, COG, LDG, CFG)와 외부에서 구매하는 중유, LNG가 있다. 안정적인 전력공급과 비용절감을 위한 발전기 가동계획을 수립하기 위해서는, 조업상황에 따라 변동되는 전력소요량 및 부생가스 발생량을 예측하여 발전기별로 사용될 연료량을 배분하고, 발전기별 효율을 반영한 발전량을 결정하게 된다 이러만 발전기 가동계획 수립을 수작업에 의존하고 있어, 수시로 변화하는 상황에 신속한 대처가 곤란하고, 모든 요소를 고려하기가 어려워 에너지비용을 절감할 수 있는 기회손실의 우려가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 LP 및 NLP를 적응하여 발전기별 연료배분 및 발전량을 결정하는 과정을 자동적으로 수행하는 발전기 가동계획수립 Model을 개발하였다. Data 입·출력용으로 Excel, LP Package는 What's Best, Programming Language는 VBA(Visual Basic for Application)를 활용하였다.
