단일 패키지의 특성 분석을 통한 고출력 발광 다이오드 모듈의 접합 온도 측정 (Measurement of Junction Temperature in High Power LED Module with Property Analysis of Single Package)

  • The temperature of junction in LED affects the life time and performance. however, the measurement of junction temperature in module is very difficult. In this paper, to measure the junction temperature in LED module, optical and electrical properties is measured in single package in temperature from 25 [$^{\circ}C$] to 85 [$^{\circ}C$], and then junction temperature can is estimated in module with measuring the average voltage of single package. As results, the junction temperature of single package is measured the temperature of 61.2 [$^{\circ}C$] in ambient temperature, also, the junction temperature of LED module is measured the temperature of 72.5 [$^{\circ}C$] in ambient temperature.

  • In this paper, we manufactured high flux LED module with Through Hole type. and we measured electrical, optical and thermal properties by driving type. LED module was composed with 8*8 arrangement form by using the glass epoxy PCB. Also, we measured the most suitable driving type with static voltage driving type and static current driving type. As a result, the LED Module of static voltage driving type showed high luminance characteristic than the static current driving type by suppling enough bias. However, the static current driving type showed more stable driving properties because of fast decreasing properties about brightness by increasing the surrounding temperature in the static voltage driving type. Also, due to Quantum confined Stark effect from piezoelectric field, the wavelength of bule peak shifted to long wavelength direction by increasing the surrounding temperature in the static voltage driving type.

  • 본 논문은 LED조명기구 방열설계의 열해석에 관한 것으로서 메탈 PCB에 Chip LED를 배치하여 COMSOL Multiphysics로 시뮬레이션한 결과 LED와 PCB의 경계면 온도는 약 $80^{\circ}C$이며, PCB의 바닥면까지는 약 $50^{\circ}C$까지 변화함을 검증 하였으며, 결과적으로 실 제작의 근사치에 가까운 방열설계가 가능함이 확인되었다.

  • The paper is to evaluate for reliability of LED Channel Modules by ALTs(Accelerated Life Tests). The recently, some of KS were established by law of LED Lamps for Lighting(KS C 7651, KS C 7652 and KS C 7653), but reliability assessment methods of LED Channel Modules were not established. Therefore, the paper aided companies to test methods for accelerated life testing by themselves.

  • 본 논문에서는 조명용 LED 구동 장치를 위한 새로운 방식의 LED 구동 모듈화 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 LED 구동 회로는 플라이백 컨버터를 이용하여 교류 입력 전원의 핫 접지와 LED 구동부의 콜드 접지를 절연한다. LED 전류 제어를 용이하게 하기위해 플라이백 컨버터를 동특성이 뛰어난 불연속 모드로 동작시키고, KIA2431을 이용하여 귀환 루프 제어를 한 후, 그에 대한 특성을 파악한다. 제안된 LED 구동 모듈은 폭넓은 교류 전원 입력 범위와 PWM 제어 IC를 직접 제어하여 버스트 디밍을 구현하고 넓은 범위의 LED 밝기 조절이 가능하게 하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 LED 구동 모듈에 대한 동작 원리를 설명하고 LED 구동 모듈을 실제로 구현 및 적용하여 제안된 구동 모듈의 유용성을 입증하였다. 또한, 소형화와 모듈화 된 LED 구동 모듈을 병렬로 연결한 다 채널 LED 구동 장치를 제안하고 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

치과 수술용 LED 광원모듈의 최적화 (The Optimization of an Operating Dental LED Light Source Module)

  • The internal temperature of an operating room had to keep within $20^{\circ}C$. However, the doctor who is wearing operating gown and mask caused to rise temperature because of the thermal occurrence of dental LED light source. At first, the surgery environment is getting worse. And then last, it would increase bleeding rate by the expansion of patient's exposured blood vessel. A surgical operator can distribute the patient's tissue through such surgery environment, exactly. It can do accurate surgery. So, it gave to effect that surgical operator's eye condition is getting better and it could keep a mutual assistance system. For this research, we develop the LED dental light source module of high color rendition. It performed simulation for replacing established the method of Halogen lamp and Plazma lamp of light source. We analyzed intensity of illumination and the change of viability by changing the height of light source module.

CFD 해석을 이용한 한국도로공사 표준 25 [W] LED 모듈의 방열 특성 분석 (Analysis of Heat Dissipation Characteristics for Standard 25 [W] LED Module of Korea Expressway Corporation: Using CFD Analysis)

  • Korea Expressway Corporation established standard of LED lighting fixture in Dec. 2013. To raise compatibility, the standard requires a fixed form and it is applied to street lights and tunnel lights, etc. Because streetlight has different circumstance condition from tunnel light that is down light and exposed to constant wind velocity over height of 8 meters, in case of LED module which has the same shape, characteristic of radiant heat can be different. In this paper, we designed 25 [W] LED Module that is designated by standard of Korea Expressway Corporation and analyzed characteristics of radiant heat about natural convection and forced convection. It is dropped 10.12[$^{\circ}C$] that max temperature is decreased by increasing 20 mm of bended height of heatsink at the condition of natural convection. Radiant heat characteristic of bended height 35 mm became 78.08[$^{\circ}C$] at the condition of natural convection, 55.30[$^{\circ}C$] at the condition of forced convection so that 22.78[$^{\circ}C$] is decreased that is 29.1[%] decrease. Bended height 55mm became 67.96[$^{\circ}C$] at the condition of natural convection, 48.04[$^{\circ}C$] at the condition of forced convection so that 19.92[$^{\circ}C$] is decreased that is 29.3% decrease.

  • Recently, a 4-col 7-row LED Screen that provides various information of major roads and local governments has been installed and operated. However, due to deterioration due to changes in temperature and humidity, deterioration due to static electricity, and mechanical stress, partial module failure of the display may occur, which is a major cause of missing information of vitally given to citizens. However, there have been frequent cases where the 4-col and 7-row LED Screen that have failed due to reasons such as installed location where the signboards are installed on the road and outdoor, the lack of monitoring means at all times, and the lack of manpower is often neglected for a long time. Following this flow, this paper proposes a method to detect defective modules by analyzing the images collected through the camera fixed to the front part of the LED display.

  • LED 조명은 IT융합 시대로의 진화에 따라 단순조명에서 인간중심화/다기능화 시스템 조명으로 발전하였고 그로 인해 다양한 센서기능, 통신기능 등의 IT기술과 소프트웨어를 융합시켜 사용 환경변화에 따른 조명 제어로 에너지를 절감하고, 빛의 세기와 색조절로 사용자 중심의 맞춤형 조명이 요구 되고 있다. 이러한 지능화된 시스템 조명을 위해서는 사용자 중심의 센서 적용 및 제어가 가능해야하며 이를 위한 통신 모듈의 플랫폼화가 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 LED 조명관제를 위해 블루투스 BLE를 활용한 통신모듈 플랫폼을 제안하였다.

  • This paper had analyzed property of LED chip which has appropriate distribution and had designed modeling in order to experiment optical property of LED module through simulation. also throughout error value between street light and simulation data, precisive simulation could be inferred. as a consequent, transformation of optical property had henceforth verified the first value of module array.
