Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the experience and point prevalence rate and factors related with Low Back Pain (LBP) in bin drivers. Methods: Questionnaires were completed by 200 drivers at 2 bus companies in Andong city in October.2000. The information was used to estimate odds ratio (OR) and $99\%$ confidence intervals (CI) for factors relation to LBP. A cross-section study design was used. Results: The experience rate for LBP was $53.5\%$, point prevalence rate was $31.5\%$. Variables significantly associated with LBP experience were employ duration and stress related occupation. The higher subjects had experienced stress. the higher experience for LBP was (OR=2.9, $95\%$ Cl 1.2-7.2). The longer subjects had employ duration in bus company, the higher experience far LBP was (OR=1.3, $95\%$ Cl 1.2-7.2). Significant factors relation to a week point prevalence far LBP were obesity and employ duration. LBP increased as weight increased (OR=4.1, Cl 1.6-10.7). The longer subjects has employ duration at bus company, the higher LBP is (OR=1.4. $95\%$ Cl 1.6-2.9). Conclusions: Results from this study indicated that a statistically significant factor relation to LBP was stress related occupation. employ duration, and obesity.
Objectives: The purpose of present study was to investigate the experience and point prevalence rate and factors related with Low Back Pain (LBP) in train egineers. Methods: Questionnaires were completed by 324 train engineers in Daejeon railroad administration from May 2002. The information was used to estimate odds ratio (OR) and 95$\%$ confidence intervals (CI) for factors relation to LBP. A retrospective study design was used. Results: The experience rate for LBP was 67.9$\%$, 54$\%$ in one year interval prevalence, 53.4$\%$ in 6 months interval prevalence, and 47.8$\%$ in a point prevalence rate. Variables significantly associated with LBP experience were age (p=0.0327), train vibration(p=0.0015), labour hour(p=0.0034), and pay(p=0.0534). As subjects got older, the higher experience for LBP was (OR=1.1, 95$\%$ CI 1.0-1.2). LBP experience rate for people who had felt train vibration was a higher than those who did not (OR=2.5, 95$\%$ CI 1.4-4.4, OR=2.3 95$\%$ CI 1.3-4.0 in a point prevalence). The people who worked for long hour was a higher than those who did not (OR=2.8, 95$\%$ CI 1.4-5.6, OR=2.2, 95$\%$ CI 1.1-4.5 in a point prevalence). The people who were not satisfied with pay was a higher than those who were (OR=1.7, 95$\%$ CI 1.0-3.0). Factors related to a point prevalence rate were train vibration(p=0.0027), chair vibration (p=0.0444), and labour hour(p=0.0340). LBP a point prevalence rate for people who had felt the vibration of train chair was a higher than those who did not (OR=1.8 95$\%$ CI 0.7-2.0). Conclusions: Results from present study indicated that a statistically significant factors associated with LBP experience were age, train vibration, labour hour, and pay, Factors related to a point prevalence rate were also train vibration, the vibration of train chair, and labour hour.

Methods: Questionnaires were completed by 174 instructors who worked at 13 drive institutes in 4 small cities from June 2002. The information was used to estimate odds ratio (OR) and 95$\%$ confidence intervals (CI) for factors relation to LBP. A retrospective study design was used. Results: The experience rate for LBP was 57.2$\%$, 43.4$\%$ in one year interval prevalence, 42.2$\%$ in 6 months interval prevalence, and 35.8$\%$ in a point prevalence rate. Factor significantly associated with LBP experience by logistic regression was labour hour (p=0.0034), subjects who worked for long hours a day were higher than those who did not (OR=3.8, 95$\%$ CI 1.4-5.6). Conclusions: In conclusion, labour hour was significantly associated with LBP experience.

Objectives: The purpose of this study w8s to investigate the experience rate and point prevalence and factors related with Low Back Pain(LBP) in men workers for the manufacturing industry. Methods: Questionnaires were completed by 97 men workers for 1 vehicle company in Taegu city in September 6-26, 2000. The information was used to estimate odds ratio and $95\%$ confidence intervals fur the LBP related factors association. Results: The experience rate for LBP was $67.0\%$. point prevalence was $14.4\%$. Variables significantly associated with LBP were weight(p=0.052) and smoking(p=0.010). $57\%$ for patients with LBP was higher than 50.095 far without in normal weight. whereas $43.0\%$ for patients with LBP was smaller than $50.0\%$ for without in overweight. $73.8\%$ for patients with smoking increased than $46.9\%$ for smokers without in smoking. The experience for LBP increased as weight increased(Odds ratio=2.923). As subjects are getting older. experience increased(Odds ratio= 1.393). The higher subjects had experienced stress, the higher experience for LBP was(Odds ratio= 1.328), however all three variables had no significant relationship. Conclusions: Results from this study indicated that a statistically significant association between LBP and weight. smoking in X2-test. In logistic regression test, there were no related variables.
Objectives : This study was to investigate the experience rate and factors related with Low Back Pain(LBP). Methods : Questionnaires were completed by 236 dental hygienists in Taegu city and Kyungpook province in June 23-27, 1999. The solicited information was used to estimate odds ration and $95\%$ confidence intervals for the LBP related factors association. Results : The experience rate of LBP was $78\%$. The experience rate of LBP was significantly associated with scaling posture(odds ratio=2.228)(p=0.0371) and stress with dentist(odds ratio=2.767) (p=0.0136). Conclusions : Data from this study support a statistically significant association between LBP and some factors found in other research to increase the relation with LBP. Study findings may have implications for targeting at dental hygienists for scaling posture education or intervention program.
Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the prevalence rate and factors related with low back pain(LBP) in senior high school teachers. Methods: Questionnaires were completed by 405 teachers at 13 high school in Andong city in July 2-14, 2001. The information was used to estimate odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence intervals(CI) for factors relation to LBP prevalence. A cross-section study design was used in this study. Results: The pointprevalence rate for LBP was 26.4%, prevalence rate for 6 months was 36.0%, prevalence rate for 1 year was 36.5%, and experience rate during life time was 55.1%, The factors associated with LBP by Chi-square test were marital status(p=0.014), An angle for back rest of car seat(p=0.014), and vibration of seat (p=0.003), 12.2% for patients with LBP was a higher than 6.0% for without in singles, Patients(29.0%) were higher than no patients(17.8%) in above $100^{\circ}$. 14% for patients who exposed to a high vibration. Vibration significantly associated with point prevalence rate for LBP were marital status and lecture time in logistic analysis. The married teachers had a higher LBP experience than singles(OR=2.6, 95% CI 1.13-6.03). The teachers who have a lot of lecture time in a day had a higher experience than those for less time(OR=1.6, 95% CI 1.42-2.51). Conclusions: Results from this study indicate that a statistical significant factors relation to LBP were marital status and lecture time in a day.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between the obesity, life style and low back pain(LBP) in high school students and provide informations for developing the prevention of the low back pain. Methods : Participants were the 2nd grade students from one high school in An-san(268 students). Using a self-reported questionnaire, we collected data. And the data were analyzed by t-test, chi-square in SPSS Win 12.0 program. Results : 1. The experience rate of LBP for 268 high school students was 56.7%. 2. The experience rate of female students(61%) was significantly higher than the male students(50%). 3. Computer using time of males LBP group was significantly higher than the none-LBP group. 4. Body mass index(BMI) of females LBP group was significantly higher than the non-LBP group. Conclusions : This study showed that the experience rate of LBP among high school students was related to obesity and life style. Therefore, educational programs and policy for preventing low back pain are necessary.
This study was performed to investigate LBP(low-back pain) prevalence rate and its related factors inphysical therapists. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted to 522 physical therapists in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk. The LBP prevalence rate for recent 6 months was $61.7\%$. According to age, the prevalence rate was highest in the group aged 24 or less for both male and female physical therapistis. For male physical therapists , it was higher in smokers and drivers, but for female ones, it was not in a significant relationship with smoking and driving. According to work experience, the prevalence rates of those who had been working for less than one year were the highest, and those who had been working at hospitals and clinics were $69.1\%$, significantly high. According to therapy techinque, the prevalence rate related ti PNF was $71.6\%$, the highest and to occupational therapy was $34.3\%$, the lowest. According to working environment for six months, in both male and female physical therapists. LBP prevalence rate was in a statistically significant relationship with work hours during the day, night and weekend duties, repetitive works, motions that bend or twist the waist, the number of patients per day, the number of time to help patients per day, the number of time to carry medical equipment per day and the length of time to work standing. The rate was also higher when physical therapists fekt nire stress from their work. According to the result of multiple logistic regression analysis, male was in a significant relationship with work experience and motions that bend or twist the waist and female was in a significant relationship with work hours during the night and weekend duties, the number of time to help patients per day, motions that bena or twist the waist, actions taken to protect the waist. As for the developmental pattem of LBP in the group of physical therapists with LBP for six moths, $15.7\%$ of them had LBP for first time, $42.3\%$ had recurred LBP, and $42.0\%$ had chronic LBP. As for the causes of LBP, $51.7\%$ said that it was because they worked in the same posture for a long time, and as for how to treat LBP, 48.8% said that they treated themselvs or got help from their co-wokers. The results presented above suggest that physical therapists are exposed to high risk of LBP caused form occupational activities. Therefire, it is necessary to improve working environment to reduce the occurrence of LBP and to develop education programs for preventing the occurrence and recurrence of LBP.

This study was conducted to investigate factors related to experience rate of low back pain(LBP) in the high school students, a questionnaire survey was carried out for 778 high school students in Andong city Kyungsang Pook province from 28th June to 10th July, 1993. The results were as follows: The experience rate of LBP for 778 high school students who were interviewed was 27.1 %. Unknown(47.4 %) was the highest in the cause of LBP. The experience rate of a academical high school students (57.8 %) was higher than the technical high school students(42.7 %) in association according to LBP and school division(P = 0. 001). The experience rate of 18 years old above students (60.2 %) was higher than 17 years old below school students(39.8 %%) in association between LBP and age(P = 0.031). The experience rate of students who go to bed at the hot floored bed (80.1 %) was higher than students who go to bed at the bed room (11.8 %) in association between LBP and room type(P = 0.012). The statisticaly significant variables related to LBP were school division, age and stress. It was revealed by this survey that independent variables related to LBP experience rate of high school students were important health problem. So the prospective research is need by those variables.
Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the associated factors of low back pain in measurement of women. Methods: The data were collected from women who visited Physical Examination Center of hospital located in Daegu from July 20, 2000 to September 29, 2000. Data from 36 normal in the women. Results: The experience rate for low back pain was 58.3%. The mean age is 56 years. The the lumbar spine of healthy women in age($50\sim59$) was 73.4%, the lumbar spine of women low back pain in age($50\sim59$) was 66.7%, Variables significantly associated with low back pain were weight, education, Exercise time, menopause existence, occupation(p<0.05). The experience for LBP increased as weight increased(Odds ratio = 999.000). The experience for LBP increased as Exercise time decreased(Odds ratio = 1.090), The experience for LBP increased as menopause existence increased(Odds ratio = 0.7111), However all three variables had significant relationship. Conclusions: Results from this study indicated that a statistically significant association between LBP and weight, education. Exercise time, menopause existence, occupation, smoking in $x^2$-test. In logistic regression test. there were related variables.
