A total of 9 different names of dried beef were found in the literatures. They were classified in to 4 groups according to their processing method and shape: San pc(about 1cm thick beef salted and dried), Pyun po(ground beef with the seasoning, make small size or large size, dried), Yak po(thin beef or ground beef in the seasoning, dried), Jang po(thin beef in the seasoning, dried until half, again in the seasoning, dried). Most of the po was prepared with beef but phesant was also used for preparation Po in salt, seasame oil, black powder and soy sauce amomg the 19 kinds of seasoning, and chopped pinenut among 3 kinds of decorating were commonly used.

Recently the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Korea launched two new project delivery systems called "Best Value Contract (Design-Bid-Build)" and "Bridging Contract (Design-Build)" in October of 2007 by revising enforcement ordinances of "Act on Contracts to Which the State is a Party". These project delivery systems require the bidders to submit technical proposal adjusted to the project characteristics and objectives for selecting the contractor by evaluating technical proposals. This research aimed to suggest guideline to effectively operate the project delivery systems described above. To reach the goal of the research, the framework of the operation model was developed, which includes the four categories: the standard bidding process, the technical proposal requirements, the technical proposal evaluation criteria, and the award methods. The contents of the four categories above were fulfilled throughout conferring with the advisory experts. In particular, the award methods, which are the important decision-making factor in the perspective of the owner, consist of four types: Low Bid-Fully Qualified, Weighted Criteria, Adjusted Bid, and Adjusted Score. The quantitative features and application criteria of these four types of award methods were suggested throughout the simulation using the virtual case.

A survey of food intake and waste rate on 60 Korean style restaurants in Seoul. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The total served weight of Pibimbab(mixed rice) was 475.66 g per person, waste rate was 6.0%, frequent side dishes were bae-chu kimchi, kak-du-gi, suk-ju-namul by the order. 2. Han- jeong-sik(Korean style full course food) were served with many kinds and varied numbers of side dishes, and waste rate of those were higher than other menu items. 3. The average serving size of Naeng-myeun(Cold noodle) was 641.00 g, and the waste rate was 11.1%. The waste rate of side dishes was about zero. 4. Man-du kuk(dumpling soup) was served 695.34 g. Most of side dishes served has high waste rate which is more than 50%, average. 5. Seol-nong tang(meat soup) was served 755.70 g, side dishes of that were simple such as kak-du-ki or paek kimchi. The average waste rate of side dishes was about 40%. Yuk-gae-jang(Hot meat soup) was 494.83 g a person, waste rate of that were 24.1%, and minimum and maximum waste rate of side dishes were 3.3, 100%, respectively. 6. Kimchi chigae(Kimchi stew) and Doen-jang chigae(fermented soy stew) were served with varied number of side dishes. 7. Deong-sim gui(grilled meat) and Pulgogi(grilled meat with sauce) were served 196.83 g and 308.98 g. The average waste rate of those were 0.7% and 5.8%, respectively. But waste rate of side dishes was 33%. We would like to decrease waste rate by proposing recommended items and weight of some food for ${\ulcorner}Good{\;}Menu{\lrcorner}$.

The Purpose of this research was to find out differences in motivation and achievement by gender between traditional group and ARCS group. The subjects were 217 first graders in six different classes from a middle school in Daegu. Each Class had Five lessons during 5 weeks. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA and ANCOVA by SPSS 10.0 program. The results of this study are as follows : First, the ARCS group showed significantly higher score than the control group in motivation. But no significant difference was found between boys and girls and in interactive effects. Statistically significant differences were found in three factors of motivation - attention, relevance and satisfaction - from the ARCS model, but no significant difference in confidence. Second, there was no significant difference in students' achievement.

In order to study effects of Yukmiziwhang-Whan on the growth of rats, we divided the experimental rats into two groups(Control&Sample groups) and peformed the experimental study. Sample group was administered the extract of Yukmiziwhang-Whan 1.6ml/100g for 4 weeks, and Control group was administered equal dose of normal saline. We measured the body weight, the length of femur and tibia, the level of serum growth hormone, T3, T4, Insulin and testosterone. The results are summarized as follows : 1) The body weight was not changed compared with Control group. 2) The lengths of femur and tibia in the Sample group was longer than that of Control group, but it was not statistically significant. 3) The level of serum growth hormone in the Sample group significantly increased compared with Control group(p<0.05). 4) The level of serum T3 in the Sample group significantly increased compared with Control group(p<0.05) and T4 level was trending toward increasing compared with Control group. 5) The level of serum insulin in the Sample group was trending toward increase compared with Control group. 6) The level of serum testosterone in the Sample group was trending toward decrease compared with Control group. According to the above experimental results, ${\ulcorner}Yukmiziwhang-Whan{\lrcorner}$ are assumed to have effective activity on the growth of rats.

This study deals with the contents of gender role, using the method of content analysis inquiring total of 40 volumes of the $3rd{\sim}6th$ $\ulcorner$Educational Active Program Guidance Book in Preschools$\lrcorner$ (EAPGP). A lower analysis conviction of gender role was sex division of labor and occupation assortment of the man and woman who gave it and was going to analyze expression for it. The purpose of this study was to make a searching the contents of a gender role in the $3rd{\sim}6th$ EAPGP in Preschools, to offer basics document to the 7th EAPGP. The issues of this study were follows: First, how gender division of labor of man and woman was expressed in EAPGP; Second, how much an occupation of man and woman was expressed in EAPGP; Third, How contents of gender role have been changed in EAPGP. The major findings in this study could be summarized as follows: First, males are described as formal workers and females are mostly seen as housekeepers; second, jobs of males are diversified than those of females; third, gender role discrimination which gives the clues to segregate two sexes tends to be greatly reduced in the 6th EAPGP than in the 3rd, the 4th, and the 5th EAPGP.

The regulation on organization and operation of rescue and aid party was amended. This Regulation is designed to provide legal formality in order to protect not only the patients' right but also 119 rescuers from liability, which is due to treatment refusal by patient and the discretionary refusal of transfer by 119 rescuers on the non-emergency situation. This study looked over the constitute of violation of emergency medical service act related to the discretionary refusal of 119 rescuers, the criminal liability owing to omission and the possibility of national indemnities on the damage of patients. This study also analyzed the courts' decision and attitude by exploring overseas judicial precedents and examined what should be considered on the execution of the newly enacted law. Finally, this study put emphasis on the importance of medical director's control, documentation of every procedure, 119 rescuer's authorization on the refusal of transfer by securing patient's informed consent.

Purpose: Esophageal cancer patients have a difficulty in the intake of meals through the blocked esophageal lumen, which is caused by an ingrowth of cancer cells and largely influences on the prognosis. It is reported that esophageal cancer has a very low survival rate due to the lack of nourishment and immunity as the result of this. In this study a new radioactive stent, which prevents tumor ingrowth and restenosis by additional radiation treatment, has been developed. Materials and Methods: Using ${\ulcorner}HANARO{\lrcorner}$ research reactor, the radioactive stent assembly ($^{166}Ho$-SA) was prepared by covering the metallic stent with a radioactive sleeve by means of a post-irradiation and pre-irradiation methods. Results: Scanning electron microscopy and autoradiography exhibited that the distribution of $^{165/166}Ho\;(NO_3)$ compounds in polyurethane matrix was homogeneous. A geometrical model of the esophagus considering its structural properties, was developed for the computer simulation of energy deposition to the esophageal wall. The dose distributions of $^{166}Ho$-stent were calculated by means of the EGS4 code system. The sources are considered to be distributed uniformly on the surface in the form of a cylinder with a diameter of 20 mm and length of 40 mm. As an animal experiment, when radioactive stent developed in this study was inserted into the esophagus of a Mongrel dog, tissue destruction and widening of the esophageal lumen were observed. Conclusion: We have developed a new radioactive stent comprising of a radioactive tubular sleeve covering the metallic stent, which emits homogeneous radiation. If it is inserted into the blocked or narrowed lumen, it can lead to local destruction of the tumor due to irradiation effect with dilatation resulting from self-expansion of the metallic property. Accordingly, it is expected that restenosis esophageal lumen by the continuous ingrowth and infiltration of cancer after insertion of our radioactive stent will be decreased remarkably.

The main purpose of this study is to differentiate Sasang Constitutions of men and women by measuring 5 parts of the body. By the definitions about Four Chos(四焦) in ${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on Viscera and Bowels(臟腑論)${\lrcorner}$, the body is divided into four parts and sets up the five borderlines. They are Top-line, Bosom-line, Stomach-line, Navel-line and Bottom-line. Top-line(第一線) is the horizontal distance between Rt. & Lt. Coracoid processes passing through the acupuncture point CV-22(天突穴) or the horizontal distance between Rt. & Lt. beginning points of Axillary lines. Bosom-line(第二線) is the horizontal distance passing through Rt.& Lt. Nipples. Stomach-line(第三線) is the horizontal distance passing through Rt.& Lt. acupuncture point ST-19(不容穴). Navel-line(第四線) is the horizontal distance passing through the navel(CV-8; 神闕穴) and the acupuncture point ST-25(天樞穴). Bottom-line(第五線) is the horizontal distance between Rt. & Lt. Anterior Superior Iliac Spine(ASIS). The measured numerical values of Five Lines are the most important factors to classify the Four Constitutions(Taeyangin, Taeumin, Soyangin, Soeumin). Among the five lines, Stomach-line(Middle-line) is the base line to decide Yin and Yang. As a result, I could differentiate the four Constitutions as follows. 1. Taeyangin's Top-line is more than 36cm long. Top-line is the longest. Bottom-line is the shortest. The length-difference between Top-line and Bottom-line is more or less 10cm long. 2. In case of Taeumin, Navel-line is the longest. The numerical values of Middle and Bottom lines are almost the same or Bottom-line is shorter than Middle-line by 1 or 2 cm long. In some special case, the five lines are all the same and the body just looks like a log. 3. In case of Soyangin, just like Taeyangin, Top-line is the longest. Bottom-line is the shortest. The length of Top-line is ranged between 30cm to 35cm long. From Top-line to Bottom-line, the length gradually diminishes each by 2cm: for example, 34-32-30-28-26. 4. In case of Soeumin, the longest one is Bottom-line. Specially, Navel-line is shorter than Middle-line. Bottom-line is longer than the Middle.

The aim of this study is to examine who had participated as members of the editorial staffs and their role in the Independent. In spite of the historical significance of the Independent, this topic was not treated properly by related studies. Moreover many studies mainly based on the Philip Jaisohn's autobiography showed the tendency to overemphasize his role. This study tried to overcome the limitations of the existing studies by critical reinterpretation of the historical materials and some new documents. The result of this study shows that 9 persons participated in the Independent. They are Philip Jaisohn, Joo Si-kyung, Yoon Chi-ho, Homer B. Hulbert, Son Seung-yong, Lee Jun-il, Henry Gerhart Appenzeller, H. Emberley and George Cobb. Five person including Jaisohn were Koreans and the rest were foreigners. Hulbert took part in editing English edition confidentially during some month from the beginning. Son Seung-yong seems to be the only one man to participate from beginning to end. Lee Jun-il was not a editorial staff but a treasurer, and Cobb participated temporarily in proofreading. Hulbert and Cobb were not official staff.
