한우 및 연변 황우의 임신기간과 생시체중에 영향을 미치는 환경요인의 효과 (Effects of Environmental Factors on Gestation Length and Birth Weight in Korean Native and Yanbian Yellow Cows)

  • 본 연구는 강원도 평창군에 위치한 축산기술연구소 대관령 지소에서 사육된 한우 587두와 중국 연변지역 일반농가에서 사육된 연변황우 619두, 총 1,206두의 자료를 이용하여 모우산차, 송아지의 성별, 출생 년도 및 출생계절 등의 환경요인의 효과를 추정하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 한우와 연변황우의 임신기간의 최소자승평균치는 각각 287.3$\pm$0.60 및 282.3$\pm$0.80 일이었으며, 생시체중은 각각 24.9$\pm$0.25 및 25.2$\pm$0.24kg이었다. 2. 한우에서 임신기간과 생시체중은 산차가 증가할수록 유의적으로 증가하였으나 (p<0.01) 연변황우는 유의성이 없었다. 3. 한우와 연변황우 모두 숫송아지 생시체중이 암송아지보다 더 무거웠고 (p<0.01) 한우는 숫송아지 임신소의 임신기간이 암송아지 임신소의 임신기간보다 더 걸었으나 (p<0.01)황우는 유의성이 없었다. 4. 생시체중에 대한 출생 년도의 효과는 한우와 연변황우에서 유의성이 있었으나 (p<0.01) 임신기간에 대한 출생 년도의 효과는 유의성이 없었다. 5. 한우와 연변황우 모두 봄에 출생한 송아지가 제일 무거웠고 가을에 출생한 송아지가 제일 작았다 (p<0.01).

한우의 번식실태평가 및 번식우 생산성 분석 (An Analysis of Evaluation for Korean Native Cattle (Hanwoo) Reproductive Performance and Cow-Calf Profitability)

  • Calculating break-even price of calf production is closely associated with reproductive efficiency. To determine the price, we need data from reproduction records including number of claves weaned, number of cows exposed for breeding, and annual cash coast per cow, and average weaning or market weight of claves sold and retained. Unfortunately, the data were not available in Korea native cow (Hanwoo). To evaluate the performance and the price, we collected calving interval from about 60,000 cows for last 10 years and estimated reproductive performance. Calving interval was increased 4.3% and pregnancy rate was decreased about 1.4~2.8% year-on-year. Increases in growth rates of number of cow and semen per calf supported the low reproductive performance. Finally, break-even price was calculated using estimated percent calf crop and demonstrated that growth rate of break-even price is larger than that of annual cash per cow, suggesting cow-calf profitability and financial efficiency in Korea native cow (Hanwoo) is getting worse.

Comparison of Embryo Production Performance and Conception Rate after Embryo Transfer between Mongolian Cattle and Korean Native Cattle

  • This study is to compare the effect of estrus synchronization and embryo transfer between Korean and Mongolian cattle. Embryos were collected from 9 donors housed in Asan city in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. Embryos were collected 9 donors from Khushaat sum, Selenge province and Bayanchandmani sum, Tov province in Mongolia. Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Controlled Internal Drug Release (CIDR) and Prostaglandin (PG) were used for superovulation. Subsequently, Artificial Insemination (AI) was done for donor cow and embryo was collected after 7 and 8 days. Collected embryos were compared between Mongolian and Korean cattle. Finally, good quality and fresh embryos were transferred to 50 and 22 recipients of cows in Korea and Mongolia respectively. The findings show that Korean native cattle each donor cow produced on an average 16.9 embryos and, 10.9 embryos were found transferable. But in case of Mongolia the average production of embryos per donor cow was 8.6 embryos and, 6.2 embryos were found transferable. Embryo collection after 7 and 8 days was not difference in embryo production in Korea. But, in Mongolia embryo production after 8 days was found more efficient than the 7 days. Korean native recipient's cows (74.6%) and Mongolian recipient's cows (71.0%) respectively were found transferable ovarian stage. The result suggested that efficiency of embryo production from the superovulation method treated of Korean cow were higher than the Mongolian cow. The pregnancy rate of Korea native cattle was 72%, which was about 10% higher than that of Mongolia cattle.

칡한우 혈액에서 DNA 다양성 분석을 통한 표지 유전자 탐색 (Specific Marker Gene Analyses for DNA Polymorphism of the Blood Cell in Korea Native Brindled Cattle)

  • 본 연구는 칡소와 한우 그리고 젖소의 각 군을 통하여 RAPD-PCR방법과 RFLP방법을 응용하여 칡소에서 특이적으로 발현되는 유전자의 검출과 발현빈도에 따른 표지유전자를 분석하여 칡소 특이적인 표지인자를 탐색하고자 실시하였다. 연구결과, RAPD분석을 통하여 칡소에서 특이적으로 표현되는 유전자들을 발견할 수 있었으며, 검출 유전자의 다양성이 모색과 종간의 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 특이적으로 표현된 유전자들 중 칡소에서 특이적으로 표현되는 R9B 유전자를 발견할 수 있었고, 이 유전자는 한우와 젖소의 일부 DNA 염기서열상의 차이점이 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 추후 칡소의 표지유전자로 적용할 수 있을 것이라 사료되었다.

Mongolian 수란우에 한우 동결수정란의 이식 후 산자 생산 (Production of Korean Native Cow from Mongolian Cow following Transfer of Vitrified Blastocyst)

  • 본 연구는 체내, 체외 소 배반포기 배의 GMP vitrification 후 활력도의 비교와 한우 수정란을 몽골 소에 수정란이식 후 산자생산 가능성을 조사하고자 실시하였다. 한우 수정란은 체외수정란 또는 과배란처리에 의한 체내수정란을 생산하여 GMP vitrification 방법으로 동결 후 몽고로 수송하였다. 수란우는 CIDR과 $PGF_2\alpha$ 처리에 의하여 동기화를 유도하였다 체내수정란생산을 위하여 7두를 과배란처리하였다. 총 64개의 배반포기를 회수하였다. ($9.1\pm2.94$per cow). 체외수정란생산은 80.1% 분할율(174/217)과 40.8% 배반포기 발달율(71/174)을 얻었다. 체내수정란(93.7%; 45/48)의 동결융해 후 생존율은 체외수정란(82.5%; 52/63)보다 유의적으로 높았다(P<0.05). 8두의 몽골 소에 2개의 수정란을 이식하여 5두가 이식 후 60일째 임신이 확인되었으나, 그 중 1두는 240째 유산을 확인하였다. 그 중 2두의 수란우에서 2두의 산자를 275일째 생산에 성공하였다. 이러한 결과는 GMP vitrification 방법은 체내, 체외수정란의 동결보존방법으로 이용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 동결융해란의 몽골 소에 이식 후 한우를 생산할 수 가능성을 확인하였다.

한우와 젖소 초유로부터 분리한 Lactoferrin의 생화학적 특성 (Biochemical Properties of Lactoferrins from Korean Native Cow and Bovine Colostrum)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 재래종인 한우로부터 초유를 얻어 Lf을 분리·정제한 후 한우 Lf의 생화학적 특성을 확인하였다. 정제된 한우 Lf은 분자량이 81,000Da이고 등전점은 pI 9였으며, 철함량이 0.56 mg/g으로 철 포화도는 약 40.6%로 측정되었다. 한우 Lf과 젖소 Lf은 아미노산 조성과 a-helix 함량에서 서로 다르게 나타났다. 또한, 항원 항체 반응으로 확인한 결과, K-Lf과 B-Lf 간에는 교차반응을 보였으나 H-Lf과는 교차반응을 보이지 않았다.

한우분내에 인의 첨가가 지렁이의 생육과 분립생산량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of supplementing phosphorus to Korean cow manure on the growth and cast production of earthworm (Eisenia foetida))

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of supplementing phosphorus to Korean cow manure on the growth and cast production of earthworm(Eisenia Foetida), and to estimate the optimal phosphorus level for the growth and cast production of earthworm and ratios of available phosphorus and calcium content of cast in optimal phosphorus levels. Phosphorus supplementing ratios to Korean native cow were 0, 1%, 2%, 4% and 8A%, respectively. The volume of raising box was 3375cm$^3$(15$\times$15$\times$15cm), and 500g of cow manure filled up to 10cm layer. Raising density was 90㎤ per worm during the experimental period(60 days). The maximum fresh weight and cast production of earthworm were obtained at 2~4% and 1% levels of phosphorus supplementation to Korea native cow manure. The total phosphorus and available phosphorus contents of earthworm tissues were not significant among in all treatments. There was a positive significantly differences between total phosphorus and available phosphorus of cast and residual matters. Available phosphorus content of cast were ranged from 9.3mg/g to 17.3mg/g at 1~4% levels of phosphorus supplementation. Ratios of available phosphorus and calcium contents of cast were 1.94~3.15:1 and 0.87~1.33:1 at 2~4% and 0~1% levels of phosphorus supplementation.

한우암소의 목부위에 2개의 여분의 전지가 부착된 과다사지 (Polymelia with two extra forelimbs at the regions of neck in Korean native cow)

  • An abnormal Korean native cow of six years old with extra legs was observed macroscopically and radiographically. The results were summarized as follows; 1. External features included two normal forelimbs and hindlimbs, and two extra forelimbs which were underdeveloped. The extra forelimbs of different length attached laterally to the cranial regions of neck on right scapula. 2. The large extra forelimb had scapular meromelia. It consisted of underdeveloped humerus, antebrachial skeleton, several carpal bones, metacapal bone(MC3+4) and two digitis with each pairs of hoof and a rudimentary hoof of dewclaw. 3. The small extra forelimb had scapular and antebrachial meromelia. It consisted of underdeveloped metacarpal and carpal bone, severely deformed humerus, fused carpal bones, and two digitis with two hooves, and a rudimentary hoof of dewclaw. 4. The dermoid cyst was observed between the large and small extra forelimbs.

화본과 목초에서 방목체계별 한우육성빈우의 방목습성 및 생산성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Grazing Behavior and animal Production of Korean Native Cow in Different Grazing System at Grasses Dominant Pasture)

  • 대관령지역에서 달리함에 따른 韓牛育咸牛의 放牧習性과 生産性을 규명하기 爲하여 Wye大學區, 輪換, 固定, 修正固定, 刈取給與區의 處理를 하였다. 供試面積은 5ha, 공시두수는 육성빈우 20두였으며 放牧習性을 調査하기 爲하여 아침 5:00시부터 20:00시 까지 每 2.5분(2분 30초) 마다 調査하여 얻어진 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. ha당 증체량에 있어서 Wye大學區와 輪換區가 바른 처리구보다 많았으나 山地草地放牧方法으로서 實在로 運用하는데는 윤환구나 修正固定區가 좋았으며 특히 修正固定放牧은 윤환구의 대안으로 추천할 만한 것이었다. 2. 日當增體量은 5월에 가장 높았고 7월에 가장 낮았으며 그후는 차차 증가하는 경향이었다. 3. 晝間의 採食時間은 331.1분으로부터 576.0분으로 다양한 結果를 보였고 이것은 放牧體系에의하여 보다도 秊節, 牧草量의 多少, 그리고 기상에 의하여 영향을 받았다. 4. 한우는 1일 일출 후, 정오 그리고 오후 3時의 3번의 주 채식행동을 갖고 있었다.

한우에 있어서 생식기관액 중 지방산 조성과 조성율 (Fatty Acid constituents and Relative Compositions of Reproductive Tract Fluids in Korean Native Cows)

  • To investigate fatty acid constituents and relative compositions in the fluid of the follicles, oviducts, uterine body and uterine body in Korean native cow, the fluids of the reproductive tract were analyzed using gas chromatography. The samples were taken from various reproductive tract of 23 Korean native cows. q. Caprylic acid (C8:0), myristic acid(C14:0), palmitic acid(C16:0), palmitoleic acid(C16:1), stearic acid(C18:0), oleic acid(C18:1), linoleic acid(C18:2), arachidonic acid(C20:4) were found in the reproductive tracts of the cows, which made 8 kinds of fatty acid in total. 2. Palmitic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid were predominant with 35.67%, 24.98% and 17.52%, respectively. while low levels of fatty acids(<5%) were myristic acid, palmitoleic acid and caprylic acid with 1.75%, 1.28% and 2.69%, respectively. 3. Two kinds of polyunsaturated fatty acids, linoleic acid arachidonic acid were found in the reproductive tracts of cows. 4. Palmitic acid among saturated fatty acids and oleic acid among unsaturated fatty acids were the highest level in all of the reproductive tracts. 5. The Highest level of arachidonic acid was found in the uterine horn. 6. The sum of the palmitic acid and oleic acid were 61.72%, 63.72%, 57.66% and 57.65% for the fluid of follicle, oviduct, uterine horn and uterine body of the cows, respectively. 7. The relative compositions of palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid and caprylic acid were higher during the luteal phase than during the follicular phase. 8. The relative compositions of arachidonic acid was higher during the follicular phase in the fluid of uterine horn and uterine body of the cows. 9. The long chain fatty acid, the palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid and linoleic acidshowed higher relative compositions during the follicular phase(86.49%∼95.51%) than during the luteal phase(85.64%∼88.93%).
