  • This study was conducted to evaluate the necessity and development of a therapeutic diet manual which contains basic nutritional science concepts that refer to nutritional management of patients in clinical settings. One hundred and fifty-four medical doctors, forty dietitians, and sixty-three students majoring in nutrition participated. The survey included questions about nutritional knowledge, nutrition-related concerns, and nutrition counseling in medical practice. The knowledge score of medical doctors was 47.7%. Lower percentages occurred in the amount of sodium allowed in the sodium restricted diet and the food sources of vitamin B1 were 16.9%, 31.2% respectively. Seventy-four percent of doctors strongly urged nutrition counseling for patients. Seventy one percent of doctors agreed that the present medical-nutrition education was inadequate in medical school curricura. Most doctors (79.2%) agreed that a therapeutic diet manual would be helpful and necessary. The average percentage of nutritional knowledge test scores for dietitians and students majoring in nutrition were 76.0% and 68.3%, respectively. Over ninety percent of dietitians working and their prescriptions. The result of this study strongly suggests that the development of a comprehensive therapeutic diet manual is necessary, especially for medical doctors.

  • In this study, the network analysis of researchers, institutions, and research principal agent was conducted to understand structure characteristics of international cooperation research project implemented from 1997 to 2018. The network of researchers and institutions were decentralized structure. On the other hands, the network of research principal agent was centralized structure. The Soul National University is the leading organization of international cooperation research project. In terms of research principal agent, corporation is the leading principal agent. In additions, the results of the network centroid analysis of the researchers and institutions were correlated with the research funds. As a result, it was confirmed that the network centroid of research organization was linearly related to research funds.

  • The purpose of this research was to assess university students' nutrition knowledge, confidence, information sources and their body image. This study used an online survey engine to collect data from college students. The result of the correlation showed overall subjective knowledge had significant correlation with nutrition. Means of the BMI were compared among the demographic groups with regard to their ethnicity, classification, and age. Significant differences were found among demographic groups regarding the means of the BMI. These findings can enhance the extant literature on the universal applicability of the model and serve as useful references for further investigations within other health care or foodservice settings and for other health behavioral categories.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify common and domain-specific cognitive characteristics of gifted students based on a hierarchical structural model of human abilities. This study is based on the premise that abilities identified by tests can appear as observable characteristics in test or school situations. Abilities proposed by major models of intelligence were reviewed in terms of their power to explain cognitive characteristics of gifted students. However, due to the lack of their explanatory power and disagreement on common and domain-specific cognitive abilities, a new hierarchical structural model was conceptualized in a unique way based on interrelationships between abilities proposed by the models. The newly established model hypothesizes a cognitive mechanism that accounts for how domain-specific knowledge is formed, as well as which abilities are common and domain-specific, how they are related functionally, and how they account for common and domain-specific cognitive characteristics of gifted students. The cognitive mechanism has important implications for our understanding of the chronically controversial concepts, 'intelligence' and 'knowledge.' Clearer definitions of what intelligence is (g or multiple), what knowledge is, and how knowledge develops ('genetic or environmental,' 'rationalistic or empiricist') may result from this model.

  • This research derived five success factors(the characteristics of system, knowledge, management, organization and users) for knowledge management system(KMS) and empirically analyzed the influence on the performance(usage and user satisfaction) by setting these characteristics to military KMS. This study shows that user characteristic affects most positive(+) effect to usage, and knowledge characteristic affects most positive(+) effect to user satisfaction but organization characteristic affects negative(-) effect to usage and user satisfaction. The result of this research illustrates the successful operation of military KMS and expects the early settlement of the military forces that will establish KMS by reducing initial trial and errors.

  • The mechanism of knowledge production in the basic science has been changed throughout the development process in Korea. During the 1970s, the focus resides in the support of individual scientists while it concentrated on the support of research organization, centered on center of excellence from the 1980s. The change in the sup-porting mechanism to basic science result in the transformation of knowledge production system in the university and impact on the behavior of individual scientists. This paper focuses on the co-evolution process between newly adopted supporting program for basic science and the knowledge production system via the case study of representative program of center of excellence supporting program in Korea.

  • In this study, an attempt was made to provide basic data for the development of programs that can improve safety care practices in the future by identifying factors that influence childcare teachers' safety care practices. 134 childcare teachers participated, and the survey results were analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0 statistical program. As a result of this study, there was a significant positive correlation between safety knowledge and attitude. There was no significant correlation with knowledge and safety care practices. It was found that safety attitude had a significant positive correlation with safety care practice.. The factor influencing safety care practice was attitude toward safety, and the explanatory power of the model was 46.1%. In order to improve the level of safety care practices of childcare teachers, a program that can be practically utilized through customized education tailored to the needs of childcare teachers and each field rather than simply imparting knowledge is absolutely essential.

  • This study was a cross-sectional reaserch that analyzed the factors that most affect COVID-19 knowledge in nursing college students who are relatively at high risk for recent prevalence of COVID-19 exposure in relation to clinical practice of nursing college students. A total of 249 nursing students participated in this study, 93 male students and 156 female students. The period for collecting data from structured questionnaires was from October 1 to October 20, 2021. The collected data were frequency analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 18.0. As a result of the analysis, infection prevention behavior(𝛽=0.06, p=0.006) had the most influence on COVID-19 knowledge, and the second was professional intuition(𝛽=-.162, p=0.018). Based on the results of this study, in order to improve the knowledge of COVID-19 among nursing students, it is proposed to develop an infection prevention behavior education program and a professional intuition improvement program.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of knowledge-based resource and ambidextrous capability on their export performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Drawing on an extensive review of the literature on Knowledge-based resource and ambidextrous capability, hypotheses are developed and tested using a sample of 284 SMEs in South Korea. Structural equation modeling was applied. As a result of analysis, first, international entrepreneurship has a significant effect on ambidextrous capability. Second, human capital has significant influence on ambidextrous capability. Third, ambidextrous capability has a significant effect on export performance. The results indicate that their knowledge-based resources ware significant driver of their ambidextrous capability. and that their ambidextrous capability was significant driver of their export performance. In the final conclusion section, implications and limitations of research results and suggestions for future research are discussed.
