This study investigates the effect of consumer culture and awareness of wedding ceremonies between parents and children as well as preference for a simple wedding in order to develop a simple wedding concept. The data for statistical analysis came from 375 of children 216 and parents 159. Data was analyzed with t -test, analysis of variance, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$ and regression analysis by SPSS ver. 18.0. The results were summarized as follows. First, children had a higher symbolic consumption than parents and parents had a higher functional consumption than children. Second, children prefer a discriminate and characteristic small wedding, while parents prefer an economical, meaningful and nonconforming simple wedding. The variables that effect parents simple wedding preferences were consumer culture, awareness of wedding ceremony, gender, and education; those of children were, consumer culture, awareness on wedding ceremony, gender, and age. Children had a functional and economical consumption focused on meaningfulness and rationale of the wedding, they prefer an economical meaningful small wedding. Children had functional consumption that prefers a discriminate characteristic small wedding and a nonconforming small wedding compared to men. Parents did not have symbolic consumption and focused on the meaningfulness and rationale of the wedding, they prefer an economical meaningful small wedding. Parents focused on the meaningfulness and rationale of the wedding; in addition women prefer a discriminate characteristic small wedding compared to men. Parents had functional consumption and focused on the meaningfulness and rationale of the wedding with a preference for a nonconforming small wedding.
The purposes of this study are to examine the differences of gender role identity according to general characteristics, parenting behavior, and family function, and to find out the main predictors of gender role identity, in order to further test the mediating effects of family function between parenting behavior and gender role identity among middle school students. Six hundred-fifty 3rd graders from three middle schools in Busan participated in this study. The results showed that the significant variables for predicting the masculinity of gender role identity include family cohesion, and parenting behaviors (father's reasoning, mother's over-expectation) and monthly household income, respectively. The significant variables for predicting femininity were family cohesion, and father's intrusive parenting behaviors, father's educational background and the mother's affection, respectively. The results indicated that for masculinity, family cohesion played the full mediator with the father's monitoring behavior and the partial mediator with the father's reasoning behavior. Similarly, for the mother's reasoning and affection, family cohesion played a full mediator. For femininity, the family cohesion played the full mediator with the father's affection and the partial mediator with the mother's affection. Similarly, for androgyny, the family cohesion played a role of full mediator with the father's monitoring, reasoning, affection and mother's reasoning and affection. In other words, the parents'positive parenting behaviors affected the family cohesion, and in turn, had an impact on the formation of the gender role identity.

This study identifies the relation between recognition relatively deprivation and consumption patterns. The data used were the seventh Korea Welfare Panel Study (KOWEPS). The final sample of 1,597 households was selected based on several sampling steps standard weights suggested by KOWEPS were applied. The final sample was subdivided into household recognizing relatively deprivation (51.7%) and non-household recognizing relatively deprivation (48.3%) per level of subjective income and objective income. We derived six consumption patterns from the cluster analysis as per consumption ratio: transportation dominant consumption pattern, essential consumption pattern, other dominant consumption pattern, care attention consumption pattern, private transfer consumption pattern, and education dominant consumption pattern. The results of this study are as follows. The analysis of the determinants of recognizing relatively deprivation in regards to question one found that the household was likely to be relatively deprived when: the head of a household was older, a household had a dual income, children and more total assets then those assessed 1 year ago compared to household living conditions, result of comparing the consumption patterns difference between household recognizing relatively deprivation and non-household recognizing relatively deprivation indicated that household recognizing relatively deprivation was more likely to belong to the transportation dominant consumption pattern, other dominant consumption pattern, and private transfer consumption pattern. The multinomial logistic analysis conducted to understand the determinants affecting the consumption patterns of household recognizing relatively deprivation indicated differences in demographic characteristics, household-related variables, financial variables and perception of economic conditions.
This study the presents survey results of a families living with children with disabilities in northern Seoul (Nowon-gu and Dobong-gu) that provides various educational services. This study investigates the current usage and needs of community resources for children with disabilities by the families in the inclusive and segregated care as well as education centers to provide information for the effective implementation of the current system. A total of 109 surveys were distributed and 62 (57%) were returned. 44 families in the 14 inclusive care and education centers as well as 18 families in the 2 segregated care and education centers participated in this study. They were asked to report on access to community resources that include compulsory education, family support, medical treatment, counseling services, commuting support, ways to gain necessary information, current use, and further needs for community resources for their children. Research results indicated that families in two different types of child care centers needed differentiated community services. Parents who use a segregated child care center demanded physical accessibility and increased numbers of highly qualified teachers; however, parents who use the inclusive child care center require the unified information system for the community resources. Survey findings are discussed related to differences between the two types of child care centers. Implications for sharing comprehensive information through child care teachers and directors of child care centers and future research are also discussed.
For a further understanding of the Chinese consumer, this study investigated 1) the effects of aesthetic consciousness on make-up attitude, and 2) the differences in the effect of aesthetics consciousness on make-up attitude among age groups. An online survey was conducted on female consumers belonging to the post-80s and 90s generations, living in Xian China. SPSS 24.0 and Amos 18.0 was used for data analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis for the research variables were performed and three factors of aesthetic consciousness (social relations consideration, internal consideration, and external consideration), and four factors of make-up attitude (psychological pleasure, self-satisfaction, consciousness of others, and tool of transformation) were identified. The results from the model test were : 1) aesthetics consciousness was found to vary depending on make-up attitude. Social relations consideration had a positive effects on psychological pleasure, self-satisfaction, and tool of transformation. Internal consideration had a positive effect on self-satisfaction and tool of transformation, and a negative effect on psychological pleasure. External consideration had positive effects on all four factors of make-up attitude. 2) In the post-80s participants, social relations consideration and external consideration had positive effects on all four factors of make-up attitude. Internal consideration s had a negative effect on consciousness of others and a positive effect on tool of transformation. In the post-90s participants, social relations consideration had positive effects on psychological pleasure, self-satisfaction, and tool of transformation. Internal consideration had positive effects on psychological pleasure and self-satisfaction.
This study use the influences of parenting style as perceived by and adult child and recognizes gender roles for the purpose of marriage perspectives. I provided a general tendency of parenting style as perceived by and adult child, recognize gender roles, and perspective of marriage to achieve the established goals. We analyzed the relative influence of socio-demographic characteristics, parenting style as perceived by and adult child and recognize gender roles for marriage perspectives. Finally, parenting style as perceived by and adult child are recognized gender roles mediated by the investigated influence of marriage perspectives. We used a structured questionnaire that targeted unmarried men and women 20 to 30 years of age to verify the this study. Data analysis used SPSS ver. 19.0; in addition, we performed reliability, frequency analysis, t-test, hierarchical regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, and variance inflation factor. Looking at these results, both adult children had a higher perception of rearing parents with the usual recognition of gender roles. The analysis indicated a conservative perspective of marriage. Adult children of mothers rearing and recognize gender roles sub-area of masculinity and femininity are perceived to be a significant change observed in marriage perspectives in addition to socio-demographic characteristics of gender and education. However, the relationship between parenting style, as perceived by adult child and marriage perspectives and as analyzed by recognize gender roles, did not have a mediating effect.
This study examined the effects of children's shyness and relationships with their teacher in regards to social withdrawal. Two questionnaires were conducted with mothers and teachers of 242 three to five-year-olds attending a childcare center in Sejong city. SPSS 18.0 was used to implement descriptive analyses and hierarchical regression analyses. The results indicated that main effects of lack of sociability and assertiveness as well as interaction effects between lack of assertiveness and intimate relationship on social withdraw were found when the childteacher relationship was intimate. The results suggested that intimate child-teacher relationships adjusted to lack of assertiveness in the child. Meanwhile, interaction effects between lack of sociability and lack of assertiveness and between self-consciousness and child-teacher conflictual relationship were found in child-teacher conflictual relationships. The results indicated that the influence on alleviating social withdrawal behavior of children with a high level of shyness was limited despite establishing a close relationship with a teacher. However, the social withdrawal behavior of children became more intense if they were in a conflict relationship with a teacher; this tendency was also shown more significantly in shier children. This suggests that children's unamicable relationship with a teacher may function as a risk factor to cause social withdrawal behavior. Therefore, it is important that a teacher has the capability to understand the individual characteristics of children, particularly shyness, and encourage their sociability of children through positive relationships.

Make-up culture has recently emerged as a major trend among adolescents, and their knowledge of this culture is acquired from their peers. Adolescence is a period in which peer relationships have a significant effect on individuals' behavior and self-esteem. Also, adolescents are conscious of others' evaluation because they only want to exhibit their ideal-self. They generally apply make-up for various reasons; pursuing ideal beauty, concealing their insecurities and improving their own self-esteem. The purpose of this study is to design and implement the MUSE(Make-Up & Self-Esteem) project, to reduce self-esteem disparity based on make-up status. Ten female adolescents(mean age=17.0 yrs, SD=1.49) participated in the MUSE project, in which the participants gradually reduced their make-up steps and posted feelings about this on SNS. Also, events were designed for the participants to enhance their interest and become more focused on themselves without make-up. Resultantly, it was obeserved that after the project, the gap between the particiapnts' self-esteem with and without make-up decreased. More specifically, there was no significant difference in self-esteem with make-up before and after participating in the project, but a significant increase was observed in self-esteem without make-up after the project. Although the participants were mostly satisfied with the project, individual interviews were conducted to obtain feedback regarding how the project could be improved. The participants suggested that future project could be developed within their own peer group and the term of the project could be extended so that the participants could become accustomed to daily make-up reducing steps.
This study investigated the impact of solution-focused thinking on marital satisfaction via mediating roles of father involvement in childcare and marital conflict. A questionnaire survey was conducted among mothers with infants, living in Busan, Daegu and Yangsan, South Korea. Data from 264 mothers were analyzed using several multiple regression analyses and bootstrapping method with SPSS 25.0 and PROCESS macro (model 6) to test the serial double mediation model. The results of this study are as follows. First, mothers' solution-focused thinking had a significant direct and indirect positive influence on marital satisfaction through both father involvement in childcare and marital conflict. Second, the sequential mediating effects of father involvement in childcare and marital conflict were statistically significant in the relationship between solution-focused thinking and marital satisfaction. The model accounted for 60% of the variance in mothers' marital satisfaction. The results highlight the importance of solution-focused thinking that can enhance the marital satisfaction of mothers with infants and act as a resource for increasing father involvement in childcare and decreasing marital conflict. Based on the results, it is necessary to include solution-focused thinking, father involvement in childcare, and marital conflict as key elements in the intervention to improve marital satisfaction of mothers with infants.
