Hairdressers may be exposed to many chemicals from hair dye, permanent, shampoo, hair spray and so on. The study was conducted to evaluate occupational exposure to 8 chemicals (isopropanol, ethanol, xylene, toluene, ethylbenzene, acetone, ammonia and formaldehyde) for workers and levels of these materials in airborne of a hairdressing salon. Since compared to ACGIH TLVs these 8 chemicals were very low, it is thought that there has no problem to occupational exposure to these chemicals. Even if hairdressing salon is not enforced on Korean Standards for Indoor Air Quality, level of TOVC was thought to be below the standards. At the aspect of indoor air quality formaldehyde needs to be controlled in the future. The results imply that emission of isopropanol, ethanol, acetone and ammonia are related with hairdressing job, but emission of xylene, toluene and ehtylbenzene is more related with traditional indoor air pollution than hairdressing job. Sources of formaldehyde is thought to be little related with hairdressing job. HVAC system was a little effective on general ventilation.
This study aims to analyze economically active females' factors influencing problematic drinking, by their jobs. It examined the socio-demographic and health-related characteristics and problematic drinking status of economically active females over 19, by using data from the 6th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. They were analyzed by using IBM SPSS 25.0 and the complex sampling design. The findings show that the problematic drinking rates of economically active females were varied by their jobs: 19.1% for office job; 24.8% for manufacturing job; 12.3% for service job. The factors influencing problematic drinking were also differed by jobs: subjective heath status for office job; marital status and smoking for service job; marital status for manufacturing job. They suggest that convergent drinking management programs customized to jobs should be developed by considering the characteristics of females' physical and emotional traits and their jobs, to reduce their problematic drinking rates.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure the quality of life (QOL) and to identify the factors influencing QOL in gynecological cancer patients. Methods: The subjects of this study were 242 people who were receiving medical therapy or follow-up after surgery from one general hospital in Daegu. Data were collected from August 1, 2010 to January 31, 2011. A questionnaire including questions on QOL, distress score, distress problem, depression, anxiety, insomnia, perceived health status and body image were completed by the subjects. Results: The mean score of QOL was $70.68{\pm}13.40$. Religion, job, presence of spouse, level of education, household income, financial compensation, disease stage and recurrence were the significant factors related to QOL. Distress score, distress problem, depression, anxiety, insomnia, perceived health status and body image were also significant factors influencing QOL. Sixty eight percent of the variance in subjective overall QOL can be explained by body image, distress problem, distress score, anxiety, level of education and perceived health status (Cum $R^2$=0.689, F=76.316, $p$ <.001). Body image was the most important factor related to QOL. Conclusion: An integrative care program which includes general, disease-related and psychosocial characteristics of patients is essential to improve QOL in gynecological cancer patients.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate problem behavior and its related factors in school-aged children. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted with 221 mothers of children at 1st to 6th grades. Data were collected from March to April, 2015 using self-report structured questionnaires. Questionnaires included characteristics of subjects, Korean Child Behavior Checklist for measuring problem behavior and Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire for assessing sleeping habits. Collected data were analyzed by independent t-test, $x^2$ test, and multiple logistic regression. Results: In logistic regression analysis, having any maternal job (aOR=2.8, 95% CI=1.1~6.9) and higher daytime sleepiness (aOR=2.9, 95% CI=1.2~7.4) were statistically significant contributors of internal problems. Higher bedtime resistance (aOR=2.2, 95% CI=1.0~4.9) and higher daytime sleepiness (aOR=2.8, 95% CI=1.2~6.3) were statistically significant contributors of external problems. Higher bedtime resistance (aOR=4.3, 95% CI=1.5~12.4) was statistically significant contributors of total problem behavior. Conclusion: School-aged children with sleeping problem are at risk for problem behavior. More attention is need to consider sleeping habits for supporting behavioral improvement in school-aged children.

The collection was done by self-administered questionnaire conducted by 360 employees from Nursing Division, Medical-support Department, and General Affair for 20 days since August. 15 in 2008. According to the result, for Nursing Division, intention to change their career is still high due to opportunity of external employment although their job-satisfaction or the attachment to the job is high. For Medical-support Department, intention to change their career is low compared with work-satisfaction or the attachment to the job is high. However, there are still intentions to change due to opportunity of external employment and excessive quantity of duty. General affair has the lowest work-satisfaction and the highest attachment to the job. However, intention of change is the highest than the others because of their negative-mind.
Purpose: This review aimed to integrate the results of studies related to presenteeism in clinical nurses and to suggest directions for future research. Methods: The search for relevant studies was conducted using six data bases according to predetermined index terms, "$nurs^*$" and "presenteeism." Thirteen studies that met the inclusion criteria were selected and analyzed. Results: This review found that the conceptual use and scope of presenteeism were not consistent among the studies. Most studies investigated the nurses' health-related variables as the most important factors and reported their positive association with presenteeism. Presenteeism was also found to be associated with job stress, job satisfaction, social support, and organizational culture and had a negative impact on nursing outcomes such as patient safety. Conclusion: The research on presenteeism can be used as a way to explain outcomes in the field of nursing where direct measurement of productivity is difficult. Presenteeism is a multidimensional problem, and a theoretical foundation is needed to explain the presenteeism of clinical nurses.

Oral examination ensures early detection and treatment of oral diseases and improvement of quality of health-related life. This is imperative as it reduces individuals' dental medical expenses and social costs caused by diseases. However, as the low oral examination acceptance rate continues to be a problem, this study was conducted to identify the factors that influence the oral examination of an economically active population. In this study, 4,836 economically active individuals between the ages of 20 and 65 years were studied using data from the 7th National Health and Nutrition Survey in 2018. Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine the factors influencing demographic and sociological characteristics on oral examination after adjusting for complaints of mastication and speech discomfort. As a result of confirming the factors influencing the oral examination, increase in age tended to be inversely proportional to the oral examination. Income level, type of job, and job position were identified as factors that influenced oral examinations. Compared to the group with a high socioeconomic status, which is represented by a group with a high income level or a stable job type or job position, the group with low economic status was found to have a negative effect on oral examination. Oral management of vulnerable groups, who might not be considered while devising oral health management policies, should be promoted through the development and provision of oral health management policies that consider employment status and environment.
