Objectives: The purpose of the this study is to investigate parenting stress of married dental hygienists having preschool and school aged children. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 242 married dental hygienists from September to December, 2015 via e-mail and ordinary mail. The questionnaire consisted of demographics, job-related characteristics, family life satisfaction, and parenting stress. The data were analyzed using Stata 13.0 program. Results: As for job-related characteristics, 36.6% of the subjects answered 'not possible' in work hour flexibility. The reasons why family-work balance is difficult were 'parenting and education(58.7%)' and 'burden of family-work balance(32.4%)'. Family life satisfaction was 3.03, and parenting stress was 2.41. Parenting stress gets higher if their children are younger, monthly income is lower, and mother/father's age are lower. And parenting stress becomes higher if their career as dental hygienists is less, they are contract worker, and frequency to change jobs is higher. Concerning the reason why work-family balance is difficult, parenting stress is found to be high when they choose 'parenting and education', 'burdens of work-family balance', and 'relationship in workplace'. Family life satisfaction reduced parenting stress. According to the results of multiple linear regression analysis, frequency to change job influences parenting stress. Conclusions: Parenting stress increases turnover and career interruption of married dental hygienists. It is hard to improve work environment without policy support. It will be necessary to establish policy for employed mothers and create a work atmosphere where the policy can be utilized without difficulty.

The purpose of this study was to search and analyze the realities and needs of life long education, the necessity and perception of life competencies and the difference of competencies on experiences of education to support life long education system for adult learners in Busan and Ulsan. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 234 adult learners living in Busan and Ulsan. The results of this study were summarized as follows. First, adult learners perceived that life long education was very important to adults and appreciated an educational institution being managed by government. Second, adult learners thought that basic literacy competency and basic work competency were important and late fifties perceived that professional job is in important. Third, adult learners perceived that self directed learning and capacity of management are poor competencies. And they perceived that the government support adult learners who has economical difficulty. Forth, adult learners perceived that it was normal that 'professional job' and 'job transition abilities', 'women', 'the middle aged and old','the unemployed' and' low incomers' perceived that they have poor level. Fifth, according to the results of ${\chi}^2$ test for determining the statistical significance of differences in experience in lifelong learning among adult learner groups divided by their individual background, significant differences were observed in a few competencies(p<.05, p<.01).
The present study employed a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design to evaluate the effectiveness of a teacher education program for child care teachers. Twenty-seven teachers were randomly assigned to intervention and control groups with 12 and 17 teachers in each group. Teachers in the intervention group participated in the program. After termination of the program, differences between pre- and post-tests were examined in regards to teachers' emotional regulation, efficacy, parent-teacher communication and job satisfaction. There were four major findings. First, self-reported teachers'emotional regulation, teachers'efficacy and job satisfaction were significantly improved in the intervention group, but not in the control group. Second, parent-teacher communication difficulty was significantly reduced in the intervention group, but not in the control group. These findings emphasize the importance of the teachers' positive characteristics in improving the outcome of preschoolers.

Objectives: To understand the personal experiences of mine workers that have experienced job relocation due to silicosis at the Andina Division of Corporaci$\acute{o}$n Nacional del Cobre (CODELCO), Chile. The purpose of the study was to provide useful information for the development of new local, business and public policies for the care of workers with silicosis. Methods: A qualitative study based on a practical case study of 5 workers. The information was collected by means of structured individual interviews. The method of analysis was phenomenology. Results: The corporal axis was the most commented upon. It included awareness of the illness, body pains, fatigue, and antagonistic mood disorders (sadness, or the difficulty in finding meaning in life). As far as personal relationships, there was evidence of strong relationships with family, coworkers and friends, as well as extended family. Over all, the experience of relocation was positive with periods of impatience and uncertainty. The job reassignment provided a new and pleasant context for the relocated workers and in the process improved their perception of their quality of life. Conclusions: A multidisciplinary team should attend mine workers relocated because of silicosis by addressing the mental and physical aspects of their disease, along with the integral participation of close family members. It is suggested that this investigation be maintain over time to record the personal experiences in the medium-term, adding new cases with the intention of shedding more light on the phenomenon being studied. As a preventive measure, continual workshops are needed on the proper use of respiratory protection in addition, a group of monitors is required.
Purpose : The aim of this study was to analyze the duties of physical therapists by developing a curriculum( DACUM) method, and to present the frequency, importance and difficulty of the main duties and tasks currently conducted in Korea. Methods : The definition of physical therapists and job description was developed based on DACUM. In order to achieve this analysis, a DACUM workshop, and a survey was conducted on 524 Korean physical therapists working in the whole country 84 areas in order to analyze the order of priority for all tasks. Results : This study defined the task of physical therapists and five kinds of duties were identified : diagnosis and evaluation, intervention, education and counseling, management and community service. Twenty-six tasks and Sixty-three task elements were classified. Conclusions : The results of this study will be of help for the development in clinical education and university curriculum.
Purpose: This study was done to examine the effect on turnover intention (TI) of terminal care stress (TCS) on nurses working in long-term care hospitals (LCH). Methods: Participants were 182 nurses from 6 Seoul LCH. Data were collected from October to December, 2017. Self-report questionnaires were used to collect data on general characteristics, TCS, and TI. Results: Subjective satisfaction on the job (r=.52, p<.001), number of monthly terminal care elders (r=.16, p=.043), TCS (r=.16, p=.027), and sub-categories of TCS, 'difficulty for assigning timetable to care for terminally ill patients' (r=.17, p=.025), 'feeling a burden of caring for terminally ill patients' (r=.23, p=.002), and 'conflict with terminally patients' (r=.16, p=.034) showed statistically significant correlation with TI. Multiple regression analysis showed significant influence of subjective satisfaction with job (${\beta}=.52$, p<.001) and TCS (${\beta}=.23$, p=.001) with a 30.3% explanatory power. When sub-categories of TCS were entered, subjective satisfaction with the job (${\beta}=.50$, p<.001) and 'feeling burden of terminally ill patients' (${\beta}=.28$, p<.001) were factors significantly influencing TI with explanatory power of 32.8%. Conclusion: Findings of this study suggest that it is needed to develop standardized practice guidelines and educational programs for terminal care in LCH as well as stress healing programs for nurses.
This study aims to evaluate of validity and reliability of the job performance tool already developed for the elementary school health teachers. 305 health teachers responded to the questionnaire composed of 50 items. The validity and reliability of the tool were verified by confirmatory factor analysis. That were composed of 8 sub-categories and had 4 factors. The importance, frequency, and difficulty of the four factors were classified according to the questionnaire criteria, but the importance of health promotion is classified as one new item factor. The statistical significance of the fit of the model was 3.664 (df = 246, p<0.001), RMSEA=0.09, NFI=0.85 and CFI=0.88. The internal consistency of the subscales was Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of 0.88 to 0.96. The internal consistency of the subscales, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was 0.88~0.96. This study shows that the analysis tool for primary school health teacher is valid and reliable as a measurement tool.
This study focused on the importance of job position as a role model for female career adaptation. To do this, we used the KWMP data to conduct a Multinomial logit analysis to examine the influence factors of the tenure women managers. As a result, first, section chief position showed a low level of life satisfaction and showed difficulty of beginner's manager. Second, it is predicted that the position of the Deputy Head of Department will establish the identity of work as an intermediate manager. Third, head of department Director showed a high age, target status, possibility of achieving the target, and duration of the next job. Fourth, executive level has the least average experience of discrimination on monthly average wage. It was suggested that it is important to develop individual career by recognizing that the organizational atmosphere and personnel management are lower than those of the other positions. It was found that age, organizational atmosphere and personnel management, goal status, possibility of achieving goals, next job tenure period, monthly average wage, welfare, and life satisfaction factors were the most influential factors in women career adjustment. Finally, implications and limitations were discussed based on the results of this study.
Background: The objective of the present study was to specifically divide the various work performed by dental hygienists in clinical practice for legal amendments regarding problems associated with conflict between job roles and illegal delegation to establish key basic data for legislation and policy utilization for realization of legal scope of dental hygienists. Methods: The study used work reports drafted based on research methods in the "Second Job Analysis Report on Dental Hygienists" researched by the Korean Health Personnel Licensing Examination Institute in 2012 and "Opinions of Dentists on Actual and Legal Work of Dental Hygienists," a report published by the Korean Dental Hygienists Association. Of these, the study focused on conservation dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and dental implant treatment, which make up some of the fields covered by dental hygiene practice, to investigate and analyzed work performed by clinical experience. Results: Analysis of work actually performed in dental practice showed that for work related to 33 items presented in the study methods, the participants responded that they are currently performing such work or are likely to perform such work in the future, although there were differences by year. Investigation by type of workplace showed that dental hygienists working in university hospitals could perform the work presented if they had ≥5 years of dental hygienist experience, whereas dental hygienists working in dental clinics or hospitals could perform simple duties in their first year and performed more diverse duties with greater degree of difficulty after their second to fourth year. Conclusion: The reality that medical assistance during surgical operations and various procedures that is still being performed is no longer legally protected directly contradicts the needs in dental practice, and thus, there is the need to amend laws that are realistic by clearly recognizing the work of dental hygienists.
The present study aims to explore the causes of employment difficulty on the basis of job applicant's interest from P-E (person-environment) fit perspective. Our approach relied on a textual analytic method to reveal insights from their situational interests in a job search during the change of labor market. Thus, to investigate the type of major interests and psychological responses, user-generated texts in a social community were collected for analysis between January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2015 by crawling the online-community in regard to job seeking and sharing information and opinions. The results of topic analysis indicated user's primary interests were divided into four types: perception of vocation expectation, employment pre-preparation behaviors, perception of labor market, and job-seeking stress. Specially, job applicants put mainly concerns of monetary reward and a form of employment, rather than their work values or career exploration, thus youth job applicants expressed their psychological responses using contextualized language (e.g., slang, vulgarisms) for projecting their unstable state under uncertainty in response to environmental changes. Additionally, they have perceived activities in the restricted preparation (e.g., certification, English exam) as determinant factors for success in employment and suffered form job-seeking stress. On the basis of these findings, current unemployment matters are totally attributed to the absence of pursing the value of vocation and job in individuals, organizations, and society. Concretely, job seekers are preoccupied with occupational prestige in social aspect and have undecided vocational value. On the other hand, most companies have no perception of the importance of human resources and have overlooked the needs for proper work environment development in respect of stimulating individual motivation. The attempt in this study to reinterpret the effect of environment as for classifying job applicant's interests in reference to linguistic and psychological theories not only helps conduct a more comprehensive meaning for understanding social matters, but guides new directions for future research on job applicant's psychological factors (e.g., attitudes, motivation) using topic analysis.
