지리정보시스템(GIS)을 이용한 토양지질도 분포와 실내라돈 상관성 연구 : 화천 및 장수의 사례를 근거로 (The Research for Relationships between Concentration of Indoor Radon and Distribution of Soil Geological Map using GIS : Based on the Hwacheon and Jangsu Areas)

  • Objectives: This study examines the relationships between indoor radon concentrations and distribution from soil geological mapping in the Hwacheon and Jangsu areas. Methods: GIS and a pivot table were used for inquiries about indoor radon contents, soil characteristics, and geological differences. Results: The Hwacheon area was characterized by the presence of normal and reverse faults as a passage of runoff for radon, sufficient occurrences of minerals containing uranium within granite as a radon source, a high concentration of radon within the granite area and clear differences of radon concentrations between granitic and metamorphic areas. The Jangsu area was characterized by the presence of normal faults, wide distributions of alluvium, and ambiguities on radon concentrations indoors among areas of geological differences. Considering the granite area and alluvium surrounded with granite areas, the characteristics of radon concentrations within soils and indoors in the Jangsu area are similar to those of the Hwacheon area. High concentrations are found with entisol and inceptisol in the Hawcheon area, but with entisol, inceptisol, and ultisol in the Jangsu area. High radon concentrations are found in sandy loam and/or loam. High concentrations are found in recently constructed or brick buildings, but low concentrations in traditional or prefabricated houses showing a high possibility of outward flow. Conclusions: The overall results suggest that radon concentrations in the Hwacheon and Jangsu area are dominantly influenced by geological characteristics with additional artificial influences.

농가 생산성 증대를 위한 육계 초생추 질병 실태조사 (A survey on diseases to improve productivity in 1-day-old chicks of broiler farms)

  • Samples collected from 15 broiler farms(47 flocks, 920 1-day-old chicks) during March to December, 2006, To survey serum antibody titers of NDV, IBDV and MG/MS, the antibodies of ND viruses were detected by HI test and ELISA, against antibodies of IBD viruses and MG/MS by ELISA. The antibody titers of NDV showed 6.4, HI and 6,968, ELISA, respectively. The rate to below protective antibody levels(${\ge}5$, HI and ${\ge}1,000$, ELISA) were 8%, HI, 5%, ELISA, specially, Baeksemi were 22%, HI, 14%, ELISA. The rate of positive by ELISA showed 99%(914/920). The ELISA titer of IBDV showed mean titer 3,890. The rate of positive were 93% (857/920), specially, Baeksemi were 84%. The ELISA titers of MG/MS showed mean titer 5,666. The rate of positive were 78% (715/920) and 100%, Abor-Acre, 97%, Baeksemi, respectively. The antibodies not detected from 18%, ELISA titers was varied from 500 to 20,000. At antimicrobial susceptibility of E coli, Staphylococcus spp and Salmonella spp isolated from 1-day-old chicks, E coli were susceptible to AmC, AM, NOR, SXT, ENR, CIP, Staphylococcus spp were susceptible to AmC, SXT, AM, ENR and Salmonella spp were susceptible to AM, AmC, SXT and P.

GIS 기반 오미자 재배적지 분석 - 장수군 산림을 대상으로- (A GIS-based Analysis for Suitable Site of Chisandra chinensis Cultivation - Focused on Jangsu County forest -)

  • 본 연구는 오미자를 이용한 산림소득 증대를 목적으로 오미자의 생산현황을 분석하고, GIS를 기반으로 전라북도 장수군 산림의 오미자 재배적지를 분석하였다. 2007년도 대비 2009년도의 우리나라 오미자 생산량은 3,786,237 kg 으로 297.2%의 누적증가율을 나타냈으며, 이중 경상북도가 2,013,379 kg (53.2%)로 가장 많은 양을 생산하였다. 전라북도의 생산량은 407,210 kg (10.8%)로 전국에서 3번째로 많은 양을 생산하였으며, 장수군이 131,000 kg (32.2%)로 가장 많은 양을 생산하였다. 한편, 2008년도 기준 장수군의 오미자 재배면적은 159.0 ha이었으며, 장수읍이 48.8 ha (30.7%)로 가장 많은 면적을 차지하고 있었다. GIS를 기반으로 분석한 장수군 산림의 오미자 재배적지는 1,199 ha이었으며, 읍 면별 적지 면적은 천천면 304 ha (25.4%), 장수읍 272 ha (22.7%), 계남면이 172 ha (14.3%), 번암면 158 ha (13.2%), 장계면 135 ha (11.3%), 계북면 129 ha (10.8%) 그리고 산서면 29 ha (2.4%) 순이었다. 장수군의 오미자를 통한 산림소득 증대를 위해서는 본 연구결과를 충분히 고려한 효율적이고 효과적인 투자가 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각되었다.

장수지역 배추김치와 시판 배추김치의 품질 평가 (Quality Characteristics of Baechu Kimchi at Jangsu Area as Compared with Commercial Kimchi)

  • This study investigates the kimchi from Jangsu area (JSK) and its comparison with commercial kimchi (CMK). We conducted a sensory evaluation for the pH, titratable acidity, salinity, hunter's color values and mechanical characteristics of kimchi. The pH of JSK is significantly higher than CMK throughout the fermentation (p<0.001). At 15 days, JSK reached the stage of optimal maturity for pH 4.23~4.55 and CMK showed pH 3.96~4.00 as conditions after the optimal maturity (p<0.001). From the results of acidity analyses, CMK also showed higher acidity values than JSK (p<0.001), indicating that the rate of fermentation progress was faster in CMK. Salinity of JSK was a litter higher than CMK1 and CMK2 (p<0.001) and JSK indicated significantly higher L, a, b values during fermentation (p<0.001). Moreover, the textural values were significantly higher in JSK2 and JSK3 retaining hardness of the tissues. In the sensory assessment, the color, flavor, crispness, taste, and overall preferences were higher in JSK3 at 15 days and 30 days than CMK. Therefore, it seems necessary for recipe developments of kimchi with local characteristics in order to industrialize kimchi by using alpine crops at Jangsu area.

산청고령토와 장수곱돌 슬러지를 사용한 내열소지 개발 (Development of heat resistant body using Sanchung Kaolin and Jangsu gobdol sludge)

  • 점토, 규석, 장석을 사용하여 만든 전통생활도자기는 주 결정상이 mullite와 cristobalite이다. Mullite 결정은 제품의 강도를 좋게 하지만 열팽창계수가 5.3 × 10-6/℃로 비교적 커서 내열 도자기로는 사용할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 산청토와 장수곱돌 sludge를 사용하여 도자기 내에 mullite 결정 대신 열팽창 계수가 2.6 × 10-6/℃인 cordierite 결정이 생성되게 함으로써 가벼운 내열 도자기를 개발하고자 하였다. 그 결과 산청토 80 wt%, 장수곱돌 sludge 20 wt%를 사용하여 만든 도자기가 내열성이 좋고 강도와 하중연화도 우수하였으며, 부피비중도 1.7 8로 기존의 분청사기보다 가벼웠다.

장수 발효의 미생물학적 연구 (Microbial Characterization of Jangsu)

  • 우리나라 신라시대를 전후하여 일반적인 청량음료로 사용되었던 것으로 알려진 장수(?水)의 제조방법을 제민요술에 근거하여 재현하고 그 발효학적 특징을 규명 하려 하였다. 새로지은 뜨거운 쌀밥을 항아리에 담고 찬물을 부어 3일간 상온에서 발효한 후 윗물과 밥 절반을 떠낸 후 다시 새로지은 뜨거운밥과 찬물을 채워 넣는 일을 주기적으로 반복하면서 미생물균총의 조성을 관찰하였다. 밥과 물을 혼합하여 실온에 방치하면 3일 동안 총균수, 단백 질 분해균, 산생성균수가 지수적으로 증가하나 그 이후부터 다소 감소하며 6일 후에는 단백질 분해균수가 증가하여 부패현상을 나타낸다. 그러나 장수 제조법에 의하면 단백질 분해균이 크게 감소하고 산생성균이 지배균총이 된다. 장수에서 분리한 주요 산생성균은 Lactobacillus, Lactococcus, Pediococcus, Leuconostoc spp.였으며 이중 주요균으로 Lactococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus coryniformis 및 Leuconostoc mesenterioides를 잠정 동정하였다. 분리한 유산균 들을 starter로 사용하여 장수를 제조한 결과 산생산력이 크고 풍미가 우수한 제품을 얻을 수 있었다.

승용 씨암말의 생식기 유래 세균의 분포 및 항생제 감수성 양상 (Distribution and antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of bacteria isolated from genital tract of riding mares)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the genital tract bacterial flora of riding mare in Jangsu stud farm during March to September, 2014. The specimens were collected from vaginal and uterus using a swab from 104 riding mares. Colonies were selected on blood and MacConkey agar plates, and identified as standard biochemical properties and Maldi-Tof MS. From this study, we isolated 148 strains including Escherichia (E.) coli (14.19%), Streptococcus (S.) equi subsp. zooepidemicus (2.7%), Streptococcus (S.) dysgalactiae subsp. equisimilis (2.03%), Klebsiella (K.) pneumonia (1.35%) and other strains from riding mares. In antimicrobial agents susceptibility test, it showed a high sensibility to the antibiotics of the most. E. coli and S. zooepidemicus were visible to have a high sensibility to almost antibiotics used in this study. However, K. pnemoniae showed a high antibiotic resistance patterns. These results may provide the basic information to establish strategies for the treatment and prevention of reproductive diseases in riding mares in Korea.

지역별 두중(杜仲)의 지표성분 및 항산화 활성 비교 (Comparison of Anti-oxidant Activity and Marker Compounds in Eucommiae Cortex Samples from Regional Groups)

  • Objectives : It is necessary to manage herbal medicines based on effectiveness by comparing the efficacy of herbal medicines by region. In this study, we compared anti-oxidative activity and marker compounds of Eucommiae Cortex by regional groups. Methods : Eucommiae Cortex grown and harvested in Gangjin, Sancheong, Yeongwol, Jangsu, and Jecheon were used. Eucommiae Cortex was extracted in distilled water at $100^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours, and filtered. filtered. Extract samples were freeze-dried at $-80^{\circ}C$. Comparison of anti-oxidant activity in Eucommiae Cortex samples from regional groups was measured in 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging, 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) free radical scavenging, and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) between regional groups of Eucommiae Cortex. In addition, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis was conducted to compare pinoresinol diglucoside concentration by regional groups. Results : HPLC analysis found that pinoresinol diglucoside concentration, widely known as the marker compound of Eucommiae Cortex, was the highest in Gangwon Yeongwol. There was a significant difference in anti-oxidative activity of Eucommiae Cortex between regional groups as discovered in DPPH, ABTS and FRAP assays. DPPH free radical scavenging was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu. ABTS free radical scavenging was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu and Chungbuck Jecheon. FRAP was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu. Conclusions : Although pinoresinol diglucoside concentration was high, anti-oxidative activity was not proportionately high. Pinoresinol diglucoside concentration was the highest in Gangwon Yeongwol. Anti-oxidative activity was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu.

영주저반의 관입상과 화성과정 (Intrusive Phases and Igneous Pricesses in the Yeongju Batholith)

  • The Yeongju granitoid batholith is a plutonic complex of huge area (1180km2) intruding the metamorphic rocks of the Yeongnam massif. The batholith, which is divided into fivelithofacies, consists of three separate plutons. The oldest Buseok pluton comprises four lithofacies: hornblende biotite tonalite, porphyrotoc biotite granodiorite, equigranular biotite grandiorite and biotite granite. The middle Chunyang pluton has been called as Chunyang granite that ranges in compostion from granodiorite to granite. The youngest Jangsu pluton is intrusions that has lithofacies of two mica granite. The contact between Buseok pluton and the rest two plutons shows obvious intrusive relations, but relation between the Chunyang and the Jangsu pluton is far away, so gives no indication of relative ages. Changes in nextures and micristructures, as well as in the mineral contents, take place between rock types og the plutons. only the Buseok pluton shows faliations of two type: magmatic foliation and regional mylonal foliation. K-Ar age deteminations fall into 171.7$\pm$3.2~162.3$\pm$3.1 Ma in the Buseok pluton, 153.9$\pm$2.9 Ma in the Chunyang pluton and 145.3$\pm$2.7 Ma in the jangsu Pluton. The batholith presents three separate intrusive phases which range in composition from tonalite to granite to granite. Each intrusive phase apperars to have been intruded in a pulse from an underlying, differentiating magma. The petrochemical data showthat three plutons are within the diagnostic range for continental arc orogenic tectonic setting, whereas Jangsu pluton approaches postorogenic setting. The data suggest that three plutons are calc-aclkalline series, and that temporal compositional variations change progerssively from tonalite through grandiorite to granite between the intrusive phases. so we consider that the magmas for all the phases were probably derived from a differentiation by fractional crystallization of a parental magma. The tonalite magma of the Buseok phase was tapped was tapped from a chamber deep in the crust, and then would have to rise at a rapid rate to its final level of emplacement. The tonalite magma in the chamber was gradually enolved through granodiorite magma into granite magma by fractional crystallization. The magmas of the younger phases were respectively tapped with temporal interval from a evolved magma of the chamber that rose into a shallower lever in the crust, and rose to their present level of emplacement.
