  • This study aimed to develop an educational program on cervical cancer prevention and human papillomavirus (HPV) for female North Korean refugees and to assess the effect of the program. This study used a nonequivalent control group with a pretest-posttest design. The participants were 42 female North Korean refugees in their 20s residing in South Korea. Measurements included cervical cancer knowledge, HPV knowledge, attitude toward HPV vaccination, and intention for HPV vaccination. Statistically significant differences emerged in levels of cervical cancer knowledge (U = 40.00, p < .001), HPV knowledge (U = 4.50, p < .001), and attitude toward HPV vaccination (U = 128.00, p = .013) between the experimental and control group. The educational program is an effective nursing intervention to improve cervical cancer knowledge, HPV knowledge, and attitude toward HPV vaccination of female North Korean refugees. Stakeholders must work to establish health policies to reduce health disparities between South and North Korean women to prepare for unification.

  • This study aimed to examine the mediating roles of self-determined motivations on the effect of class climate perceived by middle school students on self-regulated learning ablility. For this purpose, a total of 589 students were selected as subjects in this research. Structural equation modeling was conducted so as to verify the relationship among all the variables. As a results, first, the perceived autonomous class climate had a direct effect on self-regulated learning ability and an indirect effect on self-regulated learning ability through the mediation effect of identified regulation. Second, the perceived controlled class climate had a direct effect on self-regulated learning ability and an indirect effect on self-regulated learning ability through the mediation effect of identified regulation, introjected regulation, and external regulation. This study implies that facilitating autonomous engagement in learning activities will be a effective educational intervention to improve self-regulated learning ability.

To do this, 201 adults between 20~30 years old who live in G city and J area were administered anxious attachment, relationship addiction, and psychological violence victimization scale. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0 for correlational analysis to examine the relationship between variables, and the structural equation for mediating effect validation was performed using AMOS 22.0. As a result, there were positive correlations among anxious attachment, relationship addiction and psychological violence victimization. Also, the effects of relationship addiction on the relationship showed full mediation effect. This suggests that anxious attachment may lead to psychological violence victimization through relationship addiction. Through this study, a counseling intervention method which is helpful to clients who have psychological violence victimization is presented. • This study is to identify the factors related to smokers' intention to quit smoking and the differences between male and female smokers. We used data from Community Health Survey of 2017 and a total of 39,435 participated in the study. It was analyzed through IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 to conduct frequency analysis and binary logistic regression analysis. We found that gender, age, marital status, education, household income, subjective health, attempts to quit smoking, exposure to quit smoking campaigns, education to quit smoking, and number of cigarettes per day are related to the smokers' intention to quit smoking. For male smokers, education and household income are relevant to their intention to quit smoking, unlike female smokers. The findings suggest that smoking cessation campaigns and education are necessary for smokers with low level of education or income. Further, it indicates that gender differences should be taken into consideration upon intervention program.

  • In this paper, we propose a psychological state estimation process that computes children's attention and tension in response to training stimuli. Joint attention was adopted as the training stimulus required for behavioral intervention, and the Discrete trial training (DTT) technique was applied as the training protocol. Three types of training stimulation contents are composed to check the user's attention and tension level and provided mounted on a character-shaped tabletop robot. Then, the gaze response to the user's training stimulus is estimated with the vision-based head pose recognition and geometrical calculation model, and the nervous system response is analyzed using the PPG and GSR bio-signals using heart rate variability(HRV) and histogram techniques. Through experiments using robots, it was confirmed that the psychological response of users to training contents on joint attention could be quantified.

The data collection period was from September 02, 2019 to November 29, 2019, and a total of 400 questionnaires were distributed and 362 copies were used, excluding unscrupulous responses. As a result of the study, it was found that the more severe the menopause symptoms, the higher the effect on physical stress and psychological stress(p<.001). In addition, in terms of quality of life satisfaction, the more severe the menopause symptoms were, the higher the satisfaction was with physical and psychological health, but it could be seen that it did not have a significant effect on the satisfaction of social and environmental relationships. In future studies, further studies require a detailed observation of various menopause conditions and symptoms, and a multi-view approach. In addition, education and intervention programs should be activated to alleviate the symptoms of menopause and to receive relevant information.

  • Youth unemployment is a global social issue which leads to a waste of human resources and undermines the national economy. Job search self-efficacy (JSSE) can predict active job search and job search outcomes. The present study identified the factors affecting the JSSE of unemployed youth based on the Neuman Systems Model (NSM). The results indicated that job search period, job search stress, and problem-centred coping ability influenced young job seekers' JSSE, which increased especially with the perception of physical health. Therefore, to promote JSSE, it is necessary to not only establish social systems for the youth but also develop an intervention plan based on the NSM that optimises problem-centred coping ability, a normal line of defence in the individual's system, and maintains a healthy physical state, a line of resistance.
