Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis with Position Embedding Interactive Attention Network

  • Aspect-based sentiment analysis is to discover the sentiment polarity towards an aspect from user-generated natural language. So far, most of the methods only use the implicit position information of the aspect in the context, instead of directly utilizing the position relationship between the aspect and the sentiment terms. In fact, neighboring words of the aspect terms should be given more attention than other words in the context. This paper studies the influence of different position embedding methods on the sentimental polarities of given aspects, and proposes a position embedding interactive attention network based on a long short-term memory network. Firstly, it uses the position information of the context simultaneously in the input layer and the attention layer. Secondly, it mines the importance of different context words for the aspect with the interactive attention mechanism. Finally, it generates a valid representation of the aspect and the context for sentiment classification. The model which has been posed was evaluated on the datasets of the Semantic Evaluation 2014. Compared with other baseline models, the accuracy of our model increases by about 2% on the restaurant dataset and 1% on the laptop dataset.

  • Human-robot cooperative tasks are increasingly required in our daily life with the development of robotics and artificial intelligence technology. Interactive reinforcement learning strategies suggest that robots learn task by receiving feedback from an experienced human trainer during a training process. However, most of the previous studies on Interactive reinforcement learning have required an extra feedback input device such as a mouse or keyboard in addition to robot itself, and the scenario where a robot can interactively learn a task with human have been also limited to virtual environment. To solve these limitations, this paper studies training strategies of robot that learn table balancing tasks interactively using deep reinforcement learning with human's facial expression feedback. In the proposed system, the robot learns a cooperative table balancing task using Deep Q-Network (DQN), which is a deep reinforcement learning technique, with human facial emotion expression feedback. As a result of the experiment, the proposed system achieved a high optimal policy convergence rate of up to 83.3% in training and successful assumption rate of up to 91.6% in testing, showing improved performance compared to the model without human facial expression feedback.

  • This paper introduces our three approaches to reduce the burden of human interactive EC operators: (1) improvement of the interface of presenting individuals, (2)improvement of the interface of inputting fitness values, and (3) fast EC convergence. We propose methods to display individuals in order of predicted fitness values by neural networks or Euclidean distance measure for (1), to input quantized fitness values for (2), and to make a new elite by approximating the EC search space with a quadratic function for (3). They are evaluated through simulations and subjective testes, and their effects have shown.

  • This paper describes the development of a three-phase Line-Interactive DVR(Dynamic Voltage Restorer), which is applied to Hybrid detection method and super-capacitor. The operational feasibility was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software, and experimental will be work with 3kVA prototype. The developed system can compensates the input voltage sag and interruption within 2ms, in which the maximum allowable sensitive load, such as computer, communication equipment, automation equipment, and medical equipment. The developed system has a simple structure to be easily implemented with commercially available components and to be highly reliable in operation.

The operational feasibility was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software, and experimental works with 3kVA prototype. The developed system can compensates the input voltage sag and interruption within 2ms, in which the maximum allowable duration of voltage interruption is 1.5 seconds. The developed system has a simple structure to be easily implemented with commercially available components and to be highly reliable in operation.

  • In a utility interactive photovoltaic system, a PWM inverter is used for the connection between the photovoltaic arrays and the utility. The DC current becomes pulsated causes the distortion of the AC current waveform. This paper presents the reduced pulsation of DC input current by operating the inverter with buck-boost chopper in the discontinuous conduction mode. The DC current with contains harmonics component is analyzed by means of separating into two terms of a ripple component and a direct component. The constant DC current without pulsation is supplied from photovoltaic array to the inverter. The proposed inverter system provide a sinusoidal AC current for domestic loads and the utility line with unity power factor.

  • A graphic vehicle modeling pre-processing program and a visualization post-processing program have been developed for AutoDyn7, which is a special program for vehicle dynamics. The Rapid-App for GUI(Graphic User Interface) builder and the Open Inventor for 3D graphic library have been employed to develop these programs in Silicon Graphics workstation. A Graphic User Interface program integrates vehicle modeling pre-processor, AutoDyn7 analysis processor, and visualization post-processor. In vehicle modeling pre-processor, vehicle hard point data for a suspension model are automatically converted into multibody vehicle system data. An interactive graphics capabilities provides suspension modeling aides to verify user input data interactively. In visualization post-processor, vehicle virtual test simulation results are animated with virtual testing environments.

  • Front-projection type displays make it difficult to apply traditional skin color detection for human hand because the projected beam not only reaches to the screen but also to the user's hand. This paper solves this problem by modeling the distortion between original image and its final camera input. Our approach improves hand detection rate by modeling of interference effect among color channels and of intra-frame intensity and also by introducing adaptive threshold for color difference in skin region.

  • This paper describes a new tiled display framework called, iTDF (Interactive Tiled Display Framework), that is designed to support rapid construction of the interactive digital 3D contents running on top of the cluster-based tiled display. This framework allows synchronizing the rendering slaves, sharing software's state over the network, the features, such as, launching multiple applications on a cluster-based computers, moving and resizing windows, synchronization of rendering slaves, distributed shared memory, and unified input interface. This paper analyzes the requirements of the framework and describes the design and implementation of the framework. A couple desktop-based applications are ported with the new iTDF and to find out the usefulness and usability of the framework.
