  • LIBL(Linguistic Instruction Based Leaning) is an effective learning algorithm for fuzzy controller which interpretes and uses natural language of human The possibiliy of the LIBL algorithm to the fuzzy control of dynamic systems is investigated in this paper. Rise time, percent overshoot, and steady stste are proposed as suitable meaning elements for dynamic systems. A supervisor is able to give "higer-level linguistic instruction" to the learning algorithm through these three meaning elements Simulation results for a DC servo motor show the validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • This paper presents an efficient design method to realize an associative memory with BSB neural networks by means of the parametrization of the solution space and searching for the optimal solution using an evolution program. In particular, the performance index based on DOA analysis in this paper may make and associative memory implementation to reach on the level of practical success.

Bipolar fuzzy ideals of Near Rings

  • Based on the theory of a bipolar fuzzy set, the notion of a bipolar fuzzy subring/ideal of a Near ring is introduced and related properties are investigated. Characterizations of a bipolar fuzzy subnear ring and a bipolar fuzzy ideal in near ring are established. Relations between a bipolar fuzzy ideal and a level cut are discussed. Using bipolar fuzzy ideals, we discuss characterizations of Noetherian Near ring.

Path planning of a Robot Manipulator using Retrieval RRT Strategy

  • This paper presents an algorithm which extends the rapidly-exploring random tree (RRT) framework to deal with change of the task environments. This algorithm called the Retrieval RRT Strategy (RRS) combines a support vector machine (SVM) and RRT and plans the robot motion in the presence of the change of the surrounding environment. This algorithm consists of two levels. At the first level, the SVM is built and selects a proper path from the bank of RRTs for a given environment. At the second level, a real path is planned by the RRT planners for the: given environment. The suggested method is applied to the control of $KUKA^{TM}$, a commercial 6 DOF robot manipulator, and its feasibility and efficiency are demonstrated via the cosimulatation of $MatLab^{TM}\;and\;RecurDyn^{TM}$.

  • 분류자 시스템(Classifier System)은 유전자 알고리즘(Genetic Algorithmsm : GA)을 이용하여 새로운 규칙 집합을 발견하는 시스템이다 또 로봇 축구 시뮬레이션 게 (SimuroSot)은 시간에 따라 상태가 변화하는 동적인 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 GBML(Genetic Based Machine Learning)의 한 갈래이자 미시간 접근 방법을 기반으로 하는 Zeroth Level Classifier System(ZCS)을 SimuroSot에 적용하여 게임 전략을 구성하는 새로운 규칙을 발견하고 학습하도록 하고 시뮬레이션 결과를 분석함으로써 ZCS의 유용성을 확인한다.

  • 오존농도 메커니즘은 매우 복잡하고, 비선형성과 비정상성이 강하기 때문에 오존 예보시스템들은 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 특히 고농도 오존에 있어서 예측결과들이 성능이 좋지 않다. 본 논문은 뉴로-퍼지기법과 퍼지 클러스터링을 이용한 오존 예측시스템의 모델링 방법을 설명하고자 한다. GMDH의 전형적인 알고리즘에 기초한 동적 다항식 신경망은 데이터 분석, 비선형적이고 복잡한 시스템의 검증 그리고 동적 시스템의 예측을 위한 유용한 방법이다.

Low Power Design of the Neuroprocessor

  • This paper presents the performance analysis for CPL based design of a Low power digital neuroprocessor. We have verified the functionality of the components at the high level using Verilog and carried out the simulations in Silos. The components of the proposed digital neuroprocessor have also been verified at the layout level in LASI. The layouts have then been simulated and analyzed in Winspice for their timing characteristics. The result shows that the proposed digital neuroprocessor consistently consumes less power than other designs of the same function. It can also be seen that the proposed functions have lesser propagation delay and thus higher speed compared to the other designs.

최적화문제를 위한 신경회로망의 Global Convergence (Global Convergence of Neural Networks for Optimization)

  • 최적화문제에 사용되는 신경회로망을 회로레벨에서 시뮬레이션을 해보면, 알고리즘레벨에서 시뮬레이션한 결과와 많이 다름을 체험한다. 즉, 이런 신경회로망의 출력값들은 시간이 흐름에 따라 점근적으로 수렴하나, 입력단의 값들은 입력단에 부수적으로 연결되어 있는 컨덕턴스의 값에 따라 수렴여부도 달라지고, 또한 시스템의 성능도 변함을 안다. 이 논문에서는 입력단에 시스템의 안정도를 위해 부수적으로 연결된 컨덕턴스의 값에 따라 시스템의 수렴여부를 입력단과 출력단에서 분석하였으며, 에너지함수의 수렴점들이 이들 컨덕턴스의 값에 따라 성분이 변함을 분석하였다.

Sensitivity Analysis of Width Representation for Gait Recognition

  • In this paper, we discuss a gait representation based on the width of silhouette in terms of discriminative power and robustness against the noise in silhouette image for gait recognition. Its sensitivity to the noise in silhouette image are rigorously analyzed using probabilistic noisy silhouette model. In addition, we develop a gait recognition system using width representation and identify subjects using the decision level fusion based on majority voting. Experiments on CASIA gait dataset A and the SOTON gait database demonstrate the recognition performance with respect to the noise level added to the silhouette image.
