Purpose: This study aims to examine the effect of intellectual capital on both internal and external collaboration and its impact on distribution performance enhancement in public sector. Research design, data, and methodology: The study applied quantitative approach with the help of AMOS Structural Equation Modelling. The unit of analysis is the Indonesian local government. The research involved 430 leaders from local government agencies as respondents. Results: This study found that intellectual capital positively influences both internal and external collaboration as well as distribution performance. Furthermore, the current research confirms the different effect of internal collaboration and external collaboration on distribution performance; internal collaboration positively affects distribution performance, while the external one does not. Eventually, internal collaboration mediates the indirect effect of intellectual capital on distribution performance, whereas the external collaboration does not. Conclusions: This study strengthens and complements the lean stream by confirming the role of intellectual capital as critical antecedent of internal collaboration, external collaboration, and distribution performance. Moreover, this research underlines the critical role of internal collaboration as the intercourse which supports distribution performance enhancement in public sector. Lastly, the study highlights the benefits of external collaboration in distribution practice if appropriately and wisely managed.

This study clarified the intellectual structure of international collaboration in psychiatry based on analyzing networks in order to vitalize for international collaboration in psychiatry in South Korea. The data set was collected from Web of Science citation database during the period from 2009 to 2013. SU="psychiatry" search formulary (means field of psychiatric medical research) was used through advanced retrieval function and a total of 18,590 articles were selected among international collaborations. A total of 85 different keywords were selected from the 18,590 articles, and the results of analysis were as follows. First, this study examined 8 sub-subject areas focusing on disorders, and found that major subject areas could be divided into a total of 8 sub-subject areas. Second, this study examined 6 keywords that have a strong impact, and extend subject areas by promoting intermediation between other keywords Third, this study examined sub-subject areas by using the Knowledge Classification Scheme of the National Research Foundation of Korea through community analysis, and found a total of 15 clusters and a total of 12 sub-subject areas.

PURPOSE: This study aims to review the FUNfitness program, conducted by physical therapists as part of the Special Olympics Athlete Health Promotion Program, to provide basic data for the health management of individuals with intellectual disabilities. METHODS: This study collected and organized materials related to the Special Olympics Athlete Health Promotion Program, as well as training manuals for FUNfitness. Additionally, it referenced activity reports of the FUNfitness program developed through the collaboration between the American Physical Therapy Association and the Special Olympics. RESULTS: The results of this study present the definition and composition of the Special Olympics Athlete Health Promotion Program, its objectives, the definition and design objectives of the FUNfitness program, the composition and evaluation procedures of the testing and assessment items, and recommendations for referral for additional physical therapy interventions following FUNfitness education. CONCLUSION: This article describes the importance of physical therapists understanding physical therapy screening and management for the health care of individuals with intellectual disabilities, emphasizing the need for their continuous interest in promoting the health of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The purpose of study is to promote the development of contents industry by analysing the causal relationship between R&D collaboration and firms' performance. In study, we use the number of intellectual property and total sales as proxy variables of performance. we use the degrees of collaboration experience, firms' interaction and degree of collaboration as proxy variables of independent variables. The results of study are as follows. First, collaboration experience and firms' interaction are positively influence on technological performance. Second, collaboration experience is positively correlated to economic performance. Finally, firms' R&D collaboration revealed higher performance than R&D collaboration of firm and R&D institution This study emphases on the importances of R&D collaboration for developing new technology and improving economic performance.

The object of this study is to present a strategy against technology protectionism of advanced countries focusing on international cooperation policy of KIPO and infringement of overseas intellectual property rights on the notion that a policy performed without a long-term plan will not lead to industrial growth in the long run. There is a high possibility that aggressive patent policy and black box strategy of Japanese enterprise can be a burden to Korean enterprises. Thus, a policy should be established against the technology protectionism. The policy can be based on a strategy about international cooperation policy of KIPO and strategy against infringement of overseas intellectual property rights. Of course, collaboration and cooperation will be activated among the advanced countries including technical cooperation. However, a systematic strategy of intellectual property rights should be focused on international cooperation and countermeasure against infringement of overseas intellectual property rights because national interest takes precedence over any other interest especially in case of strategically owing industry. A strategy against technology protectionism of advanced countries is as follows. A strategy is required to cope with infringement of overseas intellectual property rights. Korean government has to strengthen the function of overseas intellectual property rights protection center, strengthen boundary restriction of infringement goods, promote international dispute study, train international dispute specialist, construct confidence as social capital etc. Enterprises have to maintain no Patent no Future policy, specialize on application and countermeasure against infringement dispute, participate for formation and standardization of patent pool, strive for specialization regarding technical transfer and license management.

The paper analyzes the effects of Korean venture businesses' external collaborations on their innovation performances, according to their collaboration partners and collaboration activities. The results show that the collaborations between Korean venture businesses and research institutions, and those between venture businesses and other venture businesses have significant positive effects on venture businesses' innovation performances, in terms of the numbers of the intellectual property rights, while the collaborations between venture businesses and large companies have significant positive effects on medium-sized venture businesses only. In addition, collaborative research and development, and technology transfer from big companies to venture businesses have given significant positive effects on venture businesses' innovation performances, while collaborative employee training and collaborative marketing have given significant negative effects on venture businesses' innovation performances. Furthermore, collaborations between large companies and their subcontracting venture businesses have shown even more significant effects on venture businesses' performances. The results show that the effectiveness of external collaborations of Korean venture businesses depends on collaboration partners, types of collaboration activities, and the size of collaborating venture businesses, implying that government programs for encouraging venture businesses to collaborate with external institutions should be carefully chosen for their innovation performance improvement.

What are the meanings of abduction as a methodology of Cultural Studies? By contextualizing Charles Sanders Peirce's logic of abduction in the discipline of Cultural Studies, I explore the epistemological discussion on the modern scientific research methodology of social sciences. Abduction is a kind of logical inference, which is often associated with guessing or intuition. Peirce's method of abduction and Cultural Studies' contextual formation in effect address an alternative methodology to positivism. Criticizing the modern Eurocentric structure of knowledge construction, I suggest that the virtue of abduction, as a logic of discovery, should be re-discovered in the context of Cultural Studies. Abduction holds important lessons for Cultural Studies as well as social sciences in general because of its focus on intuition, empathy, and intellectual collaboration. Through its elaboration of the logic of abduction, Cultural Studies is able to maintain not only its epistemological ground but also its methodological communicability.

This study, To find practical problems with the imaging of webtoons, propose their alternatives, and secure the professionalism of research along with 22 field experts including writers, directors, producers, investors and importance survey was carried out with 30 practical experts. There were four major interview areas including the stages of imaging production, investment and support for imaging, difficulties with imaging, and improvement of production methods and systems. Responses were collected from a total of 13 questions. All agreed that the biggest difficulty with imaging was a low level of collaboration, but they had different ideas about an ideal collaboration system. A low level of collaboration was mainly attributed to a shortage of professionals and lack of communication. There should be an effort to bring up such experts in three major areas including professional adaptation writers, professional IP producers, and investment agencies specialized in content.

The creation of academic start-up firms is an important and practical issue in the management of technology in Japan. The present study designs a model for creating academic start-up firms that fits into the social context. It focuses on the case of FIRST Program, an initiative that consists of 30 projects in innovative arenas, analyses the presence of large-scale public funding, and investigates the role of venture capitalists as support personnel in each project. As a result, the presence and significance of 'long-term escort' by an 'entrepreneurial venture capitalist (EP-VCist)' were confirmed as common features across the cases observed. EP-VCist refers to a person who can maintain and fulfil dual roles at a university and a venture capital firm, and who can take the lead throughout the venturing process as a risk taker. 'Long-term escort' is a form of support that reduces risks in the venturing process by supporting university researchers in the pre-entrepreneurial stage and by exerting a robust bridging role between a university and an industry.

The applications of artificial intelligence (AI) can provide useful solutions to animal infectious diseases and their impact on humans. The advent of AI learning algorithms and recognition technologies is especially advantageous in applied studies, including the detection, analysis, impact assessment, simulation, and prediction of environmental impacts on malignant animal epidemics. To this end, this study specifically focused on environmental pollution and animal diseases. While the number of related studies is rapidly increasing, the research trends, evolution, and collaboration in this field are not yet well-established. We analyzed the bibliographic data of 1191 articles on AI applications to environmental pollution and animal diseases during the period of 2000~2019; these articles were collected from the Web of Science (WoS). The results revealed that PR China and the United States are the leaders in research production, impact, and collaboration. Finally, we provided research directions and practical implications for the incorporation of AI applications to address environmental impacts on animal diseases.
