In recent years, two major streams in medical information systems are：1) system integration among OCS(Order Communication System), EMR(Electronic Medical Record), PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System), and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) and 2) system integration through medical collaboration between East and West medical service providers. One of the characteristics which differentiate the Korean medical industry from the western medical industry is the East-West medical collaboration. In many respects there are many differences between East and West medical treatment. Although East and West medical treatment have developed from different medical philosophies and standards, we assume that the better medical care can be provided by integrating their medical procedures effectively. The two possible approaches to the integration of East and West medical information systems are suggested in this paper：One is loosely coupled model and the other is tightly coupled model. EMR improves the quality of medical record which reflects the quality of clinical practice. It provides more efficient and convenient way of input, retrieval, storage, communication and management of medical data. We abstracted the standard medical procedures from the two medical procedures performed in Daejeon Oriental Hospital and Hehwa Clinic at Daejeon University and also abstracted database schema by analyzing the characteristics of information needed in East-West medical collaboration. Our EMR is composed of two types of data：one is structured data and the other is unstructured data, which are formalized by SOAP(Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) format. Currently the integrated system is implemented and operated successfully for six months.

On a bus-based shared memory multiprocessing system, the system bus monitoring and analysis are crucial for system integration test and performance analysis. In this paper, the design and implementation of a bus monitoring instrument for the TICOM-III system are decribed. The instrument dedicated to TICOM-III, which is called the Bus Information Procssing Unit, analyzes the bus state and measures the bus utilization. It performs many useful functions to help debugging the system, and offers a simple user interface.

기업에서 데이터베이스, 데이터웨어하우스, 데이터마트, OLAP 등의 활용이 증가함에 따라 데이터베이스 통합은 일반적이며 해결해야하는 문제가 되었다. 데이터베이스를 통합하여 공유하는 방법은 여러 가지가 있지만 데이터베이스 시스템의 진정한 상호작동은 각 시스템의 데이터베이스를 의미적으로 비교하여 합병하여야 한다. 본 연구는 기존의 데이터베이스 연합 방식을 개선하여 데이터베이스 관리자가 데이터베이스의 의미를 쉽고 효율적으로 찾아내는 통합 시스템을 제안한다. 연구에서 데이터베이스 의미 정보 통합은 전역 뷰를 생성하는 도구를 사용하여 해결하였다. 전역 뷰를 구성하는 것은 복잡한 지식과 경험을 요구하기 때문에 아직까지 구성 도구가 개발된 사례가 많지 않은 핵심적인 문제이다. 제안된 기법과 도구는 데이터베이스 관리자가 사용하기에 간단하고 고기능이며 대부분의 통합 질의를 지원하도록 충분한 표현력을 갖도록 하였다.

As the technologies for telecommunication have been evolving, more enhanced information services and integrated information systems have been introduced, which can manage a variety of information from the heterogeneous systems. The major obstacle for the integrated information systems is the integrating heterogeneous databases in the systems and the heterogeneity problems can be classified into the structural and data heterogeneities. However, the previous researches have mainly highlighted into the solving structural heterogeneity problems. This paper identifies the data heterogeneity problems for multi-database schema integrations and proposes a new solving method. We analyze the semantics equivalence in data values based on the functional dependency, primary and candidate keys, and present a procedural solution of data heterogeneity in the perspective of the concept of attribute equivalence, integration key and conceptual integration table.

정보 갱신 주기가 빨라짐에 따라, 정보검색시스템에 트랜잭션 처리, 조인, 뷰, 트리거와 같은 데이터 관리 기능이 필요하다는 요구가 커지고 있다. 그러므로, DB-IR(데이타베이스 - 정보검색) 통합은 데이터 베이스 분야와 정보검색 분야 모두에 관심 대상이 되고 있다. DB-IR 통합 시스템은 기존의 DBMS 혹은 IRS(정보검색시스템)과는 다른 역할을 가지고 있기 때문에, 새로운 구조의 디자인이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 효율적이고 안정적인 DB-IR 통합 시스템을 위한 서버 구조에 대해서 논의한다.

국내 건설산업에 있어서 기술과 정보의 기반구조를 확립하기 위하여 몇몇 건설정보관련 법규가 제도화되었다. 그러나 국내 건설정보 분류체계, 공정 공사비 통합관리(EVM), 프로젝트관리 정보시스템(PMIS)은 주요한 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 특히 현행 PMIS의 기능은 시공자 위주의 시스템으로 되어 있고, EVM이 적용되지 않아 발주자를 위한 보고, 분석, 예측기능이 매우 취약하다. 더욱이 EVM과 PMIS가 서로 분리된 체계로 운영되고 있어 발주자가 실시간으로 공정 및 공사비 정보를 확인할 수 없다. 본 연구의 목적은 PMIS가 EVM기능을 제공하고 사업참여자들이 제반정보를 공유할 수 있도록 WBS 구축방안과 EVM - PMIS 통합모델을 제안하여, E-비즈니스 업무환경하에서 PMIS를 효율적으로 운용할 수 있는 틀(framework)을 제공하는 것이다. EVM - PMIS 통합의 핵심은 EVM과 PMIS가 액티비티 기반의 동일한 운영체계를 갖는 것이다. 통합의 원리는 액티비티의 정보항목(field)을 PMIS의 공정 및 공사비관리 기능을 위한 하위모듈을 구성하는 관계형 데이터베이스 테이블(table)의 항목과 연계시키는 것이다. 따라서 액티비티의 계획공사비(PA), 달성공사비(EV), 실투입비(AC), 공정편차(SV), 공정수행지수(SPI), 공사비편차(CV), 공사비지출지수(CPI)는 PMIS의 공정 및 공사비 하위모듈을 위한 데이터베이스 테이블의 항목으로 연계된다.

현존하는 상업용 웹 정보검색 시스템들이 전문성을 갖추지 못하고 있는 이유가 검색된 분야별 정보를 통합하고 가공하는 능력이 부족하기 때문이다. 따라서, 단순 검색이 아닌 실제 사용자가 원하는 웹상의 의미정보를 추출하고 가공/통합하는 정보통합시스템의 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 논문에서는 분산된 이질의 웹사이트들에서 제공되는 특정분야의 정보를 추출 및 통합하는 정보통합시스템(TIC: Target Information collector)을 구현하고, 구현된 시스템의 평가결과를 제시한다. 본 논문에서 대상으로 설정한 정보 영역은 국제입찰정보이다. 국제입찰정보는 전 세계 국가의 정부에서 필요로 하는 조달물품 및 서비스에 대한 공개 입찰자료이다. 본 논문에서는 전 세계의 국제입찰 정보 제공 원천 사이트에서 공통 특성 정보를 자동 추출하기 위해 HTML 태그간 패턴을 사용한 정보위치지정 방법을 사용하였으며, 정보추출 및 통합을 위한 프레임워크 설계를 통해 큰 부담 없이 모든 원천사이트별 정보추출 및 통합 코드를 작성할 수 있었다. 또한, 구현된 TIC을 약 8개월 동안 운영한 결과 매우 단순한 기법을 사용하고도 거의 대부분의 중복정보가 제거된 고품질의 국제입찰정보를 수집할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 본 논문이 기여하는 바는 특정 범주에 속하는 공통정보를 추출 및 통합/가공하는 데에 필요한 시스템 프레임워크를 제시했다는 점이다.

The 10 Year Implementation Plan for a Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS), which was endorsed at the Third Earth Observation Summit in Brussels in February, 2005, emphasizes the importance of data management facilities for diverse and large-volume Earth Observation data from inhomogeneous information sources. A three year research plan for addressing this key target of GEOSS has just approved as the first step by the Japanese government. The goals of this research are, (1) to develop a data management core system consisting of data integration and information fusion functions and interoperability and information service functions; (2) to establish data and information flows between data providers and users; (3) to promote application studies of data integration and information fusion, especially in the fields of weather forecasting, flood forecasting, agricultural management, and climate variability and changes. The research group involves leading scientists on information science and technology, who have been developing giant data archive servers, storage area networks, metadata models, ontology for the earth observations. They are closely cooperating with scientists on earth sciences, water resources management, and agriculture, and establishing an effective collaborative research framework.

본 논문에서 시험 연구선 선박정보의 관리를 위한 지능형 통합 정보 시스템의 설계를 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 시스템은 연구 시험선이 추구하는 혁신 및 개선 활동을 활성화하기 위해 기관 정보관리, 선박관리, 연구원들의 업무, 교육, 훈련 과제의 진도를 관리하고, 유효성을 검증하고, 그 이력을 관리하기 위한 목적을 가지고 있다. 각각의 시스템들의 자료가 저장되어, 정보 활용성을 높인다. 제안된 지능형 통합 정보 시스템을 통해 체계적으로 시험 연구선의 프로젝트의 진도를 관리하고 효율적인 업무 처리를 실현하는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

To interactively share High Definition (HD)-quality visualization over emerging ultra-high-speed network infrastructure, several lossless and low-delay real-time media (i.e., uncompressed HD video and audio) transport systems are being designed and prototyped. However, most of them still rely on expensive hardware components. As an effort to reduce the building cost of system, in this paper, we propose the integration of both transmitter and receiver machines into a single bi-directional transport system. After detailed bottleneck analysis and subsequent refinements of embedded software components, the proposed integration can provide Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)-based bi-directional transport of uncompressed HD video and audio from a single machine. We also explain how to interface the Gbps-bandwidth display output of uncompressed HD media system to the networked tiled display of 10240 $\times$ 3200 super-high-resolution. Finally, to verify the feasibility of proposed integration, several prototype systems are built and evaluated by operating them in several different experiment scenarios.
