Characteristics of Surface Flashover on Partially Immersed of Spacer in Liquid Nitrogen (액체질소 중에서 spacer의 부분적 침적에 대한 연면 방전특성)

  • Composite insulation system of liquid nitrogen and solid spacer is widely applied in high temperature superconduction power machine. This study has three step procedure. As follow, first step is composition of parallel deposited electrode and vertically deposited electrode along the direction of immersion in liquid nitrogen(LN2). Second step is investigation into surface flashover voltage of solid spacer under partially immersed in LN2, and last step is comparison the result of this research with that of fully immersed in LN2 and at cryogenic temperature gaseous nitrogen(GN2). This result presented that surface flashover voltage along solid spacer half immersed in LN2 was almost the same as that of fully immersed spacer when the thickness of spacer(t) was t<10mm. In the case of t> 10mm, however, spacer flashover voltage was equal to that obtained in GN2 at cryogenic temperature. And the immersed direction functions as role of deciding the difference of surface flashover voltage.

  • Vacuum circuit breaker(VCB) has been widely used for interruption of load current and fault current for high voltage motor in the industrial field. Its arc extinguishing capability is excellent compared to other breakers. But it has the potential to cause multi reignition surge by high extinguishing capability. Surge voltage is generated by the opening and closing of VCB. Multi reignition surge of VCB is steep-fronted waveform. It may have a detrimental effect on the motor winding insulation. So, most of users install a protection device to limit steep-front waveform at the motor terminal or breaker side. So, most of users install a protection device at the motor terminal or breaker side. This protective device is surge absorber(SA) such as ZnO and RC type. In this study, we analyzed whether there is any effect when two type SA is applied to the VCB multi reignition surge. We confirmed that ZnO SA is slightly more effective than RC SA for reduction of multi reignition surge.

A Study on Thermal, Mechanical and Electrical Properties as Silane Treated Epoxy/MICA Composites (실란처리된 Epoxy/MICA 콤포지트의 열적, 기계적 전기적 특성연구)

  • In this study, epoxy/mica composite was prepared by mixing with mechanical stirrer together with homogenizer, and the effect of amino-type silane coupling agent was also studied. To reduce the viscosity without any decrement of other properties, 1,4-Butanediol diglycidyl ether (1,4-BDGE) as an aliphatic epoxy reactive diluent was introduced to the epoxy/mica composite in order to use as vanish for high voltage motor and generator stator winding. It was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation that interfacial characteristics between organic epoxy and inorganic mica was modified by coupling agent treatment so that glass transition temperature increased, and tensile strength and electrical breakdown strength increased. The properties were estimated by Weibull statistical analysis and the ac electrical breakdown strength was 20.2% modified by treating silane coupling agent.

  • 본 연구는 Knife형 전극을 사용하여 이종절연재하의 갭 변화에 따른 연면방전 특성을 연구할 목적으로 교류고전압 인가 시 압력(P), 전극간거리(d) 및 사용된 가스의 변화에 따른 절연파괴특성을 연구하였다. 본 연구를 통해 챔버 내의 P와 d가 증가할수록 $SF_6$, I-Air, Dry-Air 및 순수 $N_2$는 파센의 법칙에 일치하여 절연파괴특성이 비례 증가하는 것을 확인했다. 그리고 $N_2:O_2$혼합가스 중 특정 비율에서는 P에 대해선 비선형적으로, d에 대해선 선형적으로 증가함을 확인했다.

  • In this paper, the electron transport characteristics in $CF_4$ has been analysed over the E/N range 1~300[Td] by a two-tenn approximation Boltzmann equation method and by a Monte Carlo simulation. The motion has been calculated to give swarm parameters for the electron drift velocity, longitudinal diffusion coefficient, the ratio of the diffusion coefficient to the mobility, electron ionization and attachment coefficients, effective ionization coefficient, mean energy, collision frequency and the electron energy distribution function. The swarm parameter from the swarm study are expected to serve as a critical test of current theories of low energy electron scattering by atoms and molecules, in particular, as well as crucial information for quantitative simulations of weakly ionized plasmas.

  • The paper used to the Neral Netwok for a forecasting conservation system. A neural network is a powerful data modeling tool that is able to capture and represent complex input/output relationships. The motivation for the development of neural network technology stemmed from the desire to develop an artificial system that could perform "intelligent" tasks similar to those performed by the human brain. The true power and advantage of neural network lies in their ability to represent both linear and non-linear relationships and in their ability to learn these relationships directly from the data being modeled. Form results of this study, the Neral Netwok is will play an important role for insulation diagnosis system of real site GIS and power equipment using Dry-Air gas.

  • UHF 센서를 사용한 GIS의 절연결함 패턴분석 및 위치판독에 대한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있으나, 후자의 경우 GIS Bus bar의 형태에 의한 전자파의 전달속도를 고려한 결과들은 아직 보고된바 없다. 본 논문은 이러한 관점에서 부분방전 신호검출용 광대역 센서를 Fat-Dipole를 변형시켜 가장 넓은 대역을 얻도록 설계 제작하였으며, GIS Bus bar 내에서 발생하는 부분방전 신호의 전달 속도 계산결과 이론치의 약 2/3 정도였다. 또한 개발된 방법의 현장적용 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 자체 설계 제작한 외장형 UHF 센서를 중부발전소에서 운전중인 GIS에 부착하여 절연결함 위치를 추정 후 해체 작업을 통하여 확인한 결과 추정된 위치에서 결함이 발견되어 개발된 방법의 신뢰성을 입증하였다.

  • This paper present the result of the flashover properties of inulators due to artifitial pollution. For this study, a mini fog chamber has been fabricated with transparent acryl which has the merit in observasion and electrical insulation. All the experiment was carried in mini fog chamber. Though non-souble contaminant do not distribute on the electric conductivity of contaminant and contaminated insulator, that influence on the flashover characteristics of insulators. with the result, we assume phenomenon caused with the hygroscopic property of non-soluble contaminant.

  • We studied about electrical, chemical and mechanical characteristics of XLPE by dicumyl peroxide(DCP) and trimethylolpropane triacrylate(TMPTA) content ratio. DCP content was changed from 1.0 to 2.Sphr increasing 0.5phr. TMPTA content was changed 0.5 to 1.5phr increasing 0.5phr. Thermal analysis (DSC) was carried out in order to observe tendency of Tg according to DCP and TMPTA content. Tensile strength was measured in order to observe mechanical strength. In experimental results, content DCP 2.0phr and TMPTA 1.0phr has highest breakdown strength. Content DCP 2.0phr and TMPTA 0.5phr has lowest dielectric constant. Tendency of Tg did not affected by DCP and TMPTA content. Breakdown strength and Specific inductive capacity was measured.

  • In this paper, the properties of temperature dependence and voltage dependence of Aramid paper were studied to understand electrical characteristics, to be regarded as the excellent insulation. Aramid paper and pressboard had being applied various motor, generator. We used to Finite Elemental Method of simulation tool, and improved optimal insulating design of insulating Aramid according to calculated those.
