새로운 200 MHz CMOS 선형 트랜스컨덕터와 이를 이용한 20 MHz 일립틱 여파기의 설계 (Design of a Novel 200 MHz CMOS Linear Transconductor and Its Application to a 20 MHz Elliptic Filter)

  • 트랜스리니어 셀을 이용한 새로운 200 MHz CMOS 트랜스컨덕터를 제안하였다. 제안한 트랜스컨덕터는 트랜스리니어 셀에 기초를 둔 전압 폴로워 및 전류 폴로워와 하나의 저항기로 구성된다. 트랜스컨덕터의 폭 넓은 응용을 위해, 단일-입력 단일-출력, 단일-입력 차동-출력, 그리고 완전-차동 트랜스컨덕터를 각각 체계적으로 설계하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 결과, 완전-차동 트랜스컨덕터는 ${\pm}3$ V의 공급 전압에서 ${\pm}2.7$ V의 입력 선형 범위, 200 MHz의 3-dB 주파수, 그리고 41 $ppm/^{\circ}C$ 이하의 온도 계수를· 가진다는 것을 확인하였다. 완선-차동 트랜스컨덕터의 응용성을 확인하기 위해, 인덕턴스 시뮬레이션 방식에 기초한 3차 사다리형 일립틱 저역-통과 여파기를 설계하였다. 설계된 저역-통과 여파기는 22 MHz의 리플 대역폭파 0.36 dB의 통과 대역 리플, 그리고 26 MHz의 차단 주파수를 가진다.

  • In general, utility voltage is maintained at a relatively low level of Phase unbalance since a low level of unbalance can cause a significant power supply ripple and heating effects on the power system equipment. Voltage unbalance more commonly emerges in individual customer loads due to phase load unbalanced, especially where single phase power loads are used. Under unbalanced input voltages large lower order harmonics appears at the input and output ports of Power conversion devices. As the application of adjustable -speed drives (ASDs) and their integration with complex industrial processes increase, so does the need to understand how ASDs perform during voltage This paper describes a real load test to investigate the performance of 3-HP adjustable speed drives by an unbalanced voltage at the low-voltage system.

  • In this paper, a design method of LCL filter at the AC input side of a voltage source PWM converter is proposed. Effective method to prevent pollution of the utility caused by high frequency current ripple is to use a LCL filter instead of the L filter The C elements in the filter provide a low impedance path for the high frequency component, preventing them from entering the utility. A resistor in series with a capacitor is used for damping the resonance in the filter. The design examples are shown and the validity of the proposed design method is verified through the PSIM simulation.

  • This paper presents the shape design for reducing cogging torque and characteristic analysis in Brushless DC (BLDC) motor. In this BLDC motor, ${\Delta}$(delta)-winding is applied, and in order to obtain the $60^{\circ}$ trapezoidal phase back-EMF waveform, permanent magnet shape design is carried out. And then, a method on specifying design parameters to effectively reduce cogging torque is developed. back-EMF, input voltage and input current which are analyzed by the Finite Element Method (FEM) are validated by experimental results. Also, efficiency calculations based on analysis and experimental results are performed and analyzed.

  • The sliding mode control is an effective method to establish robustness against parameter variations and disturbance. But, in sliding mode strategy, the control function is discontinuous on the hyperplane. Consequently, the control input chatters at high frequency. When we apply such a control to the induction motor drive system, that causes a torque ripple and current harmonics, which are harmful to the system. In this paper, we introduce a low pass filter between sliding mode control output and driver input to overcome that problem. The band-width of this filter is varied according to the error funtion to improve transient responses.

  • This study deals with a bidirectional interleaved soft switching DC-DC converter for a wide range of input voltages. The proposed converter operates in complementary switching with the purpose of inductor size reduction and zero-voltage switching (ZVS) operation. The current ripple related to complementary switching is minimized by three-phase interleaved operation. The main characteristics of the proposed topology are its soft-switching method of operation and its simple structure. The soft-switching operation and the system efficiency of the proposed converter are verified by experimental results.

  • In this paper, direct power control system for three-phase PFC AC/DC converter without the source voltage sensors is proposed. The sinusoidal input current and unity effective power factor are realised based on the estimated flux in the observer. Both active and reactive power calculated using estimated flux. The estimation of flux is performed based on the reduced-order virtual flux observer using the actual currents and the command control voltage. Moreover, source voltage sensors are replaced by a estimated flux. DC output voltage has been compensated by DC output ripple voltage estimation algorithm. The active and reactive powers estimation are performed based on the estimated flux and Phase angle. The proposed algorithm is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • In recently days using distributed power generation systems constructed with boost type dc-dc converters is being extremely popularized because of the rising need of environment friendly energy generation power systems. In this paper a new constructed An efficient Step-Up DC-DC Converter for DC Grid Applications s proposed to boost a low level DC voltage(36-80V) to high DC bus (380V) level. When comparing to other step-up converters, the proposed topology has a reduced number of switching devices, can make high quality power with lower input current ripple and has wider input DC voltage range. Finally, the performance of the proposed topology is presented by simulation results with 350W hardware prototype.

  • 공진형 인버터의 직류 링크단의 전압 상승을 직류 공급 전압 이내로 제한하고, 공진형 인덕터의 전류 내량을 줄이기 위한 간단한 전압 억제형 공진형 인버터를 제안하였다. 이 전압 인버터를 영구 자석형 동기 전동기(PMSM)에 적용하여 이산 펄프 제어 방법중의 하나인 예측형 전류 제어 방법에 의해 실험과 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 인버터의 동작을 보이고, 그 결과를 CRDM(Current Regulated Delta Modulation)방법에 의한 결과와 비교하였다.

  • A novel three-level DC/DC converter (TLC)for high power applications operating from high input voltage Is proposed. Its switch voltage stress can be ensured to be only one-half of the Input voltage. Nevertheless, since all input voltage is applied to the transformer primary side, it has good turns ratio. The driving method of each module is same as those of the conventional phase-shifted ZVS full bridge PWM converter (PSFB) and the zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) of the leading leg are achieved exactly in the same manner as that of the PSFB. Moreover, its three-level operation can considerably reduce the current ripple through the output inductor and it has no problems of the DC-link voltage unbalance. Therefore, it features a low voltage stress, high efficiency, low EMI, high power density, and small sized filter. To confirm the operation, validity, and features of the proposed circuit, experimental results from a 200W, 600V/DC-48V/DC prototype are presented.
