콜로이드 실리카를 이용한 UV 경화형 친수성 코팅 도막 제조 (Preparation of UV-Curable Hydrophilic Coating Films Using Colloidal Silica)

  • 알코올에 분산된 콜로이드 실리카를 아크릴 단량체인 pentaerythritol triacrylate (PETA)와 혼합시킴에 의해 UV 경화형 친수성 코팅 용액을 제조하였다. 또한 이 친수성 코팅 용액을 PC 기재 위에 스핀코팅 시킨 후 10 min 동안 UV 경화시킴에 의해 친수성 코팅 도막이 제조되었다. 이 과정 중 코팅 용액 중의 콜로이드 실리카 양을 10~50 g으로 변화시켜 코팅 도막의 친수성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 코팅 용액 중의 콜로이드 실리카 양은 코팅 도막의 친수성에 큰 영향을 미치며, 콜로이드 실리카 양이 30 g인 경우에 $37^{\circ}$의 가장 낮은 접촉각과 H의 우수한 연필경도를 나타내었다.

알루미나 여과막의 상전이와 미세구조 변화: I. 지지체의 기공율에 의한 영향 (Change of Phase Transformation and Microstructure of Alumina Membrane: I. Effect by Porosity of Support)

  • The HPS(High Porosity Support, 39.3%) and the LPS( Low Porosity Support, 18.7%) were fabricated to investigate the phase transformation and the chance of microstructure with porosity of alumina support. Alumina sol was made using aluminum tri-sec $butoxide(ATSB,\; Al(O-Bu)_3)$, the membrane on porous support with different porosity and the membrane without support were fabricated. The $\theta$-to ${\alpha}-A1_2O_3$ phase transformation in the membranes was investigated using thin film X-ray diffraction (XRD), and the change of microstructure was observed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM). XRD patterns showed that the membrane on LPS and HPS had 10$0^{\circ}C$, 5$0^{\circ}C$ higher $\theta$-to ${\alpha}-A1_2O_3$ transformation temperature compared to the unsupported membrane. A similar effect was also observed in microstructure of the membranes, theoritical temperature difference were 97$^{\circ}C$ and 44$^{\circ}C$ by Crapeyron equation.

Electrical Properties of Ferroelectric Polymer on Inorganic Dielectric Layer for FRAM

  • Among several available high-k dielectrics the lanthanum zirconium oxide ($LaZrO_x$) system is very attractive as a buffer insulating layer. Because both lanthanum and zirconium atoms, the constituents of the $LaZrO_x$ thin film, have been considered to be thermally stable in contact with Si. The $LaZrO_x$ films were deposited by a sol-gel method. After the deposition, The $LaZrO_x$ films were crystallized at $750^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes in $O_2$ ambient. PVDF-TrFE films were deposited on these $LaZrO_x$/Si structures using a sol-gel technique. The sol-gel solution was spin-coated on $LaZrO_x$/Si structures at 500 rpm for 5 sec and 2500 rpm for 15 sec. The deposited layer was dried at $165^{\circ}C$ for 30 min in air on a hot-plate. Then, we deposited Au electrode on PVDF-TrFE films using thermal evaporation.

  • For underground structures that are exposed to environmental conditions, the declination of the durability of concrete occurs easily because of leakages from high hydraulic pressure and the frequent contact of water due to environmental factors. Therefore this study is to confirm that the leakage reduction of natural inorgnic powder compound applying subsurface structural weak part and make the performance improvement of concrete as an objective. The test was done by making the rebar, flat tie, nail and film infiltration and each of its water tank and cylindrical test body then after pouring water to each of the test body, the test observe the change of the water tank surface absorbed condition and leakage of each specimen with respect to time. As a conclusion, the test was observed that this water proofing admixture has better watertightness from the beginning of the setting time(when it hardens), the ettringite and the thaumasite generates a large quantity of hydration products that controls the formation in a large opening and the CSH produced by pozzolan reaction makes a dent at this opening.

  • Recently, the study on development of electrical and electronic device is done to set miniature, high degrees of integration and efficiency by using inorganic materials the study of Langmuir-Boldgett(LB) method that uses organic materials because of the limitation for the ultrasmall size. The structure of MIM(Metal-Insulator-Metal) device is Cr-Au/PBLG/ Al. the number of accumulated layers are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. The I-V characteristic of the device is measured from 0[V] to 2[V] and the characteristic of current-time of the devices. We have investigated the capacitance because PBLG system have a accumulated layers the maximum value of measured current is increased as the number of accumulated layers are decreased. The capacitor properties of a thin film is better as the distance between electrodes is smaller. The results have shown the insulating materials and could control the conductivity by accumulated layers.

PBLG와 PBDG의 상전이와 전기특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Phase Transfer and Electrical Properties of PBLG and PBDG)

  • Recently, the study on development of electrical and electronic device is done to get miniature, high degrees of integration and efficiency by using inorganic materials. the study of Langmuir-Boldgett(LB) method that uses organic materials because of the limitation for the ultra small size. In this paper, detected displacement current using PBLG and PBDG, deposition and observed the electrical characteristics to each 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 layers by LB method. Maximum value of change ratio of displacement current by the detected speed and temperature appeared almost lineally, could confirm that it are in comparison relation each other speed temperature and displacement current. The structure of manufactured device is MIM. Also, we then examined of the MIM device by means of I-V. The I-V characteristic of the device is measured from 0 to +2[V]. The insulation property of a thin film is better as the distance between electrodes is larger.

수열합성법에 의한 3차원 ZnO 나노구조체 합성 (Synthesis of 3D Nanostructured Flower-like ZnO Architecture on ZnO Thin-film by Hydrothermal Process)

  • Recently, the control of size, morphology and dimensionality in inorganic materials has been rapidly developed into a promising field in materials chemistry. 3D nanostructured flower-like ZnO architecture with different size and shapes have been simply synthesized by hydrothermal process, using zinc acetate and ammonium hydroxide as reactants. In this study, the ZnO thin-films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering in other to get high adhesion and uniformity of 3D nanostructured flower-like ZnO architecture on a $SiO_2$ substrate. The XRD patterns identified that the obtained the nanocrystallized ZnO architecture exhibited a wurtzite structure. SEM images illustrated that the flower-like ZnO bundles consisted of flower-like or chestnut bur, which were characterized by polycrystalline and (002) preferential orientation.

FE-SEM Image Analysis of Junction Interface of Cu Direct Bonding for Semiconductor 3D Chip Stacking

  • The mechanical and electrical characteristics can be improved in 3D stacked IC technology which can accomplish the ultra-high integration by stacking more semiconductor chips within the limited package area through the Cu direct bonding method minimizing the performance degradation to the bonding surface to the inorganic compound or the oxide film etc. The surface was treated in a ultrasonic washer using a diamond abrasive to remove other component substances from the prepared cast plate substrate surface. FE-SEM was used to analyze the bonding characteristics of the bonded copper substrates, and the cross section of the bonded Cu conjugates at the sintering junction temperature of 100 ℃, 150 ℃, 200 ℃, 350 ℃ and the pressure of 2303 N/cm2 and 3087 N/cm2. At 2303 N/cm2, the good bonding of copper substrate was confirmed at 350 ℃, and at the increased pressure of 3087 N/cm2, the bonding condition of Cu was confirmed at low temperature junction temperature of 200 ℃. However, the recrystallization of Cu particles was observed due to increased pressure of 3087 N/cm2 and diffusion of Cu atoms at high temperature of 350 ℃, which can lead to degradation in semiconductor manufacturing.

딥코팅에 의한 실크 피브로인막으로 제조한 바이오 압전발전기 (Bio-Piezoelectric Generator with Silk Fibroin Films Prepared by Dip-Coating Method)

  • Piezoelectric generators use direct piezoelectric effects that convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Many studies were attempted to fabricate piezoelectric generators using piezoelectrics such as ZnO, PZT, PVDF. However, these various inorganic/organic piezoelectric materials are not suitable for bio-implantable devices due to problems such as brittleness, toxicity, bio-incompatibility, bio-degradation. Thus, in this paper, piezoelectric generators were prepared using a silk fibroin film which is bio-compatible by dip-coating method. The silk fibroin films are a mixed state of silk I and silk II having stable β-sheet type structures and shows the d33 value of 8~10 pC/N. There was a difference in output voltages according to the thickness. The silk fibroin generators, coated 10 times and 20 times, revealed the power density of 16.07 μW/cm2 and 35.31 μW/cm2 using pushing tester, respectively. The silk fibroin generators are sensitive to various pressure levels, which may arise from body motions such as finger tapping, foot pressing, wrist shaking, etc. The silk fibroin piezoelectric generators with bio-compatibility shows the applicability as a low-power implantable piezoelectric generator, healthcare monitoring service, and biotherapy devices.

Development of PCM Color Coated Steel Sheets with Excellent Antiviral and Antimicrobial Properties

  • Recently, due to the rapid spread and continuation of COVID-19, customer demand for health and hygiene has increased, requiring the development of new products that express antiviral and antibacterial properties. In particular, viruses are much smaller in size than bacteria and have a fast propagation speed, making it difficult to kill. POSCO has developed eco-friendly PCM color coated steel sheets with excellent antiviral properties by introducing inorganic composite materials to the color coating layer on the surface of Zn-Al-Mg alloy plated steels. The virus is not only destroyed by adsorption of metal ions released from the surface of the coating film, but is also further promoted by the generation of reactive oxygen species by the reaction of metal ions and moisture. As a result of evaluating the developed products under the International Standard Evaluation Act, the microbicidal activity was 99.9% for viruses, and 99.99% for bacteria and 0% fungi. In particular, excellent results were also shown in the durability evaluation for life cycle of the product. The developed product was applied as a wall of school classrooms and toilets and ducts for building air conditioning, resulting in excellent results. Developed products are being applied for construction and home appliances to practice POSCO's corporate citizenship.
