Design and Development of Hybrid Documents Authoring Tool (하이브리드 문서 저작도구의 설계 및 개발)

  • Digital documents takes place of paper (off-line) documents, because of the advantages of digital (on-line) documents: supply of information using dynamic contents and good to communize. However, users prefer paper documents to digital documents with the advantages of paper documents: inexpensive, handy to carry, and good to read. Therefore, for providing advantages of digital documents to users who prefer paper documents, many laboratories study about methods which augment digital documents to paper documents. In this paper, we propose the Hybrid Documents Authoring Tool (HDAT), which can insert, delete, and modify on-line information to the off-line. The proposed system is a unified authoring tool for reading and writing of on-line information. And we provide the most natural environment to users using computer vision technology without additional devices such as markers or patterns to retrieve documents. As shown by experimental results, we make sure that our proposed system has high usability and good efficiency on various environments through we measure the low-level of system requirement.

Design of a digital photo frame for close-range security using the chaotic signals synchronization (혼돈신호의 동기화를 이용한 근거리 보안 전자액자 설계)

  • With the development and supply of digital displayers, there has been a heightened interest of late in digital photo frames, eclipsing the existing print frames. This digital photo frame was developed into a new LCD digital photo frame that can be used not only for data display but also as a surveillance monitoring equipment when combined with a CCD camera. The developed photo frame uses a one-way communication encryption method that replaces the existing two-way communication encryption method to ensure the security of the surveillance image data. This method uses the chaotic signal's one-way synchronization phenomenon, where synchronization is made for a certain amount of time, after which the synchronized data can be encrypted and decoded at any point. It can yield the same results as the two-way communication encryption method. Moreover, if the proposed method is applied to the close-range communication methods of ubiquitous devices, it will be able to obtain more efficient results.

  • Internet has been becoming widely popular and making rapid progress and network technologies is showing extension in data transmission speeds. Rapid and convenient multimedia services supplied with high quality and high speed are being needed, This paper treats of the design and implement method of clip-based video retrieval system on the world-wide-web environments. The implemented system consists of the content-based indexing system supporting convenient services for video contents providers and the web-based retrieval system in order to make it easy and various information retrieval for users on the world-wide-web. Three important methods were used in the content-based indexing system. Key frame extracting method by dividing video data, clip file creation method by clustering related information and video database build method by using clip unit, In web-based retrieval system, retrieval method by using a key word, two dimension browsing method of key frame and real-time display method of the clip were used. As a result. the proposed methodologies showed a usefulness of video content providing. and provided an easy method for searching intented video content.

A Study on Analysis of Clinical Data and Telemedicine System for the Treatment of Acrophobia (고소공포증 치료를 위한 원격진료 시스템 및 데이터 분석에 대한 연구)

  • Acrophobia is a symptom of feeling an abnormal fear of heights. Medications or cognitive-behavior methods have been mainly used to treat the acrophobia. In these days the virtua1 reality technology has been applied to treat such an anxiety disorders. In this thesis, an telemedicine assistant system for treatment of acrophobia using biomedical signals and virtual reality technique is proposed. I made two virtual reality simulations for treatment of acrophobia and telemedicine system for communication between doctor and patient using personal computer. A virtual environment provides patient with stimuli which arouses phobia, and exposition to such environment makes him have ability to overcome the fear. Recently, the patient can take diagnosis from a medical doctor in distance with the telemedicine system. Multimedia conference service, on-line questionary, signal transfer system are needed to configure such system. Virtual reality simulation system that composed of position sensor, head mount display, and audio system, is also included in this telemedicine system. I added virtual environment update system to this virtual reality telemedicine system for treatment of acrophobia. Former acrophobia treatment systems use only patient's score of the questionary to appraise. The new system developed in this thesis uses not only patient's score of the questionary but also biomedical signals such as HR, GSR amplitude, GSR RT to increase the objectivity and quantitativity. The experimental results show that HR and GSR amplitude are useful for decision of acrophobia. We will apply this system to the acrophobia patient in distance and be able to offer better medical treatment for mental illness in near future.

  • As the technology and level of autonomous vehicles advance and they drive in more diverse road environments, an intuitive and efficient interaction system is needed to resolve and respond to the situations the vehicle faces. The development of driving technology from the perspective of autonomous driving has the ultimate goal of responding to situations involving humans or more. In particular, in complex road environments where mutual concessions must be made, the role of a system that can respond flexibly through efficient communication methods to understand each other's situation between vehicles or between pedestrians and vehicles is important. In order to resolve the status of the vehicle or the situation being faced, the provision and method of information must be intuitive and the efficient operation of an autonomous vehicle through interaction with intention is required. In this paper, we explain the vehicle structure and functions that can display information about the situation in which the autonomous vehicle driving in a living lab can drive stably and efficiently in a diverse and complex environment.

  • Recently, with an increased social interest in new and renewable energy resources, together with rapid advancement in IT(information technology) and spatial information technology, there have recently been a lot of attempts to find out methods to make systematic and scientific use of information technology and spatial information technology, depending upon a fusion with GIS(Geographic Information System) spatial information technology in the field of new and renewable energy. This paper developed a suitability analysis system to conduct a correct and precise analysis of an ideal place for wind energy facilities in comprehensive consideration of topographic, economic, and cultural environments. It also used recent spatial information technology including 3D GIS to develop a supportive system for an analysis and decision making of an ideal place for 3D Web GIS-based wind energy facilities like a precise field information implementation, a 3D result display, a 3D object implementation, simulation, and so on. These systems make it possible to build scientific new-renewable energy facilities, to collect, manage and analyze information in an accurate and quantitative manner. In addition, they help serve as a turning point for the construction of a real-time information supply system. Furthermore, they can support rational decision making by making it possible to analyze a variety of forms of field information through building a system for the management of 3D image-based information on new-renewable energy resources.

A Study on Intake and Purchasing Behavior of Processed Food among Adolescents (청소년의 가공식품 섭취실태 및 구매행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer the basic materials for the development of nutrition education programs for youth and help domestic science teachers in schools implement effective dietary education by examining youth's purchase behavior of processed foods. As a result of figuring out youth's purchasing behavior of processed food and the difference in accordance with social, demographic variables, they considered taste and price mainly when choosing foods. The results showed that what they consider important when checking food display information was shelf life and price. It was observed that 56% of them check additives display information in food when purchasing processed food. In terms of demographic factors, the more likely they are a girl student, the lower grader they are, and the lower price they purchase processed food at, the better they used the nutritional knowledge learned in school. Based upon these results, it is necessary to offer the consumer's level of education and training for their demands by accurately figuring out youth's purchasing behavior of processed foods. For this, home economics education must allow youth to lead healthy diet by implementing a systematic and professional training on food additives on a basis of the research and utilization of a variety of educational media and teaching and learning methods.

  • Stick-PC is small and portable, So it can be used like a desktop if you connect it to a display device such as a monitor or TV anytime and anywhere. Accordingly, Stick-PC can related to various crimes, and various evidence may remain. Stick-PC uses the same Windows version of the operating system as the regular Desktop, the artifacts to be analyzed are the same. However, unlike the Desktop, it can be used as a meaningful information for forensic investigation if it is possible to identify the actual user and trace the usage by finding the traces of peripheral devices before analyzing the system due to the mobility. In this paper, We presents a method of collecting images using Bootable OS, which is one of the image collection methods of Stick-PC. In addition, we show how to analyze the trace of peripheral connection and network connection trace such as Display, Bluetooth through the registry and event log, and suggest the application method from the forensic point of view through experimental scenario.

  • The paper actualizes the twin camera module system that is portable and very useful for the production of 3D contents. The suggested twin camera module system is a system to be able to display the 3D image after converting the inputted image from 2D stereo camera. To evaluate the performance of the twin camera module suggested in this paper, I assessed the correction of Rotation and Tilt created depending on the visual difference between the left and right stereoscopic image shot by the left and right lenses by using the Test Platform. In addition, I verified the efficiency of the twin camera module system through verifying Depth Error of 3D stereoscopic image by means of Scale Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) algorithm. I think that if the user utilizes the suggested twin camera module system in displaying the image to the external after converting the shot image into the 3D stereoscopic image and the preparation image, it is possible to display the image in a matched way with an output device fit respectively for different 3D image production methods and if the user utilizes the system in displaying the created image in the form of the 3D stereoscopic image and the preparation image via different channels, it is possible to produce 3D image contents easily and conveniently with applying to lots of products.

Implementation of a Real-time Data Display System for a Catchment Scale Automated Weather Observation Network (집수역 규모 무인기상관측망을 위한 실황자료 표출시스템 구축)

  • There have been increasing cases for farmers to install automated weather stations (AWS) at their farms and orchards in order to take countermeasures to more frequent weather disasters caused by climate variability and weather extremes. Although raw data are the same, the additive values as agrometeorological information may vary depending on data processing methods. User demands on appropriate information could also be different among crop species, cropping systems and even cultivars. We designed an internet based AWS data processing and display system to help diverse users (e.g., farmers), extension workers to access their weather data on specific demands. The system was implemented at a rural catchment with 52 $km^2$ land area where 14 automated weather stations are in operation. This note introduces the system and describes the major modules in detail. By linking regional AWS networks, a feasibility for this system as an early warning system is also discussed.
