What Kinds of Aptitude Will Be Required for Undergraduate Students Who Want to Join Export-Oriented SMEs? (수출중소기업은 어떤 직무적성을 가진 대학생을 채용할까? -광주 지역을 중심으로-)

  • The main objective of this study is to examine the required aptitudes for undergraduate students who want to join export-oriented Small & Medium Enterprises(SMEs). 178 Dataset from a survey of exporting firms in Gwangju, Korea, were used to analyze the study. The results of the study are as follows ; First, the most required aptitude is 'the capability related to build up human relationship'. So students should learn negotiation skills in the college. In addition to this, student also try to join informal club and cultivate teamwork capabilities. Second, finding out a job in export-oriented SMEs is needed to equip with problem-solving capabilities. To do it, students should learn various subjects related to trade theory. Additionally, having some certificates like 'international trade master' can be better. Third, communication capabilities including foreign language and international business skills will be also required for students who are preparing for joining export-oriented SMEs. However, capabilities related to information technology and basic statistic skills does not have statistically significant correlation to recruitment intention. As a result, students who have such above-mentioned four aptitudes may have better position to find out jobs in export-oriented SMEs.

Development of Communication Protocol Verification Tool for Vital Railway Signaling Systems

  • As a very important part in development of the protocol, verifications for developed protocol specification are complementary techniques that are used to increase the level of confidence in the system functions by their specifications. Using the informal method for specifying the protocol, some ambiguity may be contained therein. This indwelling ambiguity in control systems can cause the occurrence of accidents, especially in the case of safety-critical systems. To clear the vagueness contained in the designed protocol, we use the LTS (Labeled Transition System) model to design the protocol for railway signaling. And then, we verify the safety and the liveness properties formally through the model checking method. The modal ${\mu}$-calculus, which is an expressive method of temporal logic, has been applied to the model checking method. We verify the safety and liveness properties of Korean standard protocol for railway signaling systems. To perform automatic verification of the safety and liveness properties of the designed protocol, a communication verification tool is implemented. The developed tools are implemented by C++ language under Windows XP. It is expected to increase the safety and reliability of communication protocol for signaling systems by using the developed communication verification tool.

  • Merchandiser continue to play an important role in the exchange process by providing products for consumption. Merchandisers must still understand customer demands, analyze sale trends, select and present salable products. However, due to the competitive pressures in the apparel industry and the innovations required under QR business systems, the demands placed on merchandisers are changing. The purpose of this study is to present of the direction for fashion merchandising education. The direction for fashion merchandising are education summarized as follows; 1) Merchandising technology is the systematic application of information technology and Telecomunications to planning, developing, and presenting product lines in ways that reflect social and cultural value. Statistic Methods are developed and used to analyze data arising from a wide variety of applications. 2) Merchandising technology is to practise the technical and economic aspects of apparel production. Analysis of specific apparel manufacturing and management issues such as efficient manufacturing methods. 3) Merchandising technology is to forecast fashion trend according to consumer preference. Culture influences what people purchase and how those items are used forecasting fashion trend. 4) Merchandising technology is to practise communication skills used in formal and informal organization including interviews in particular language suited to their own business and professionnal careers. 5) Merchandising technology is to planning merchandise budgets and merchandise assortments based on more diverse forms of information. 6) Merchandising technology is to use techniques related hardware and software. 7) Merchandising technology is to learn participate in internship programs.

  • The authors provide characteristics of the open educational platforms, classification and quantitative analysis regarding the availability of IT courses, teaching language, thematic directions on the following platforms: Coursera, EdX, Udemy, MIT Open Course Ware, OpenLearn, Intuit, Prometheus, UoPeople, Open Learning Initiative, Open University of Maidan (OUM). The quantitative analysis results are structured and visualized by tables and diagrams. The authors propose to use open educational resources (teaching, learning or research materials that are in the public domain or released with an intellectual property license that allows free use, adaptation, and distribution) for organization of independent work; for organization of distance or correspondence training; for professional development of teachers; for possibility and expediency of author's methods dissemination in the development of their own courses and promoting them on open platforms. Post-project activities are considered in comparing the courses content of one thematic direction, as well as studying the experience of their attending on different platforms.

  • 현재 소프트웨어 산업에서 자연어 요구사항의 정확한 분석 연구는 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나, 문법적인 분석만을 통해 해석하는 것이 일반적이다. 본 연구는 요구공학과 언어학 그리고 카툰 공학을 접목을 제안한다. 이를 위해서, 1) 언어학적 관점에는 촘스키의 구문 구조 분석 이론과 필모어의 의미역 이론을 결합하여 문법적, 의미적 분석을 수행한다. 2) 요구공학 관점에서는 요구사항 분석으로 상태 모델 속성 추출 및 접목한다. 3) 카툰 공학에서는 3D 이미지 생성한다. 또한, 해결 못했던 동사와 형용사에 대해 분석하여 범위를 확장한다. 즉 언어학적 분석을 바탕으로 UML 상태 다이어그램을 추출하고, 이를 3D 상태 이미지 생성한다. 본 연구는 AI 기술(Text to Image)에 소프트웨어 공학적 방법에서의 절차적인 공정과 재사용 적용함으로써, AI 내부 작동 원리에 대해 체계적으로 연구하고자 한다.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to identify various consumer groups by analyzing the consumer's DISC behavior type targeting consumers who have used chatbots in online shopping malls. By analyzing the relationship between DISC behavior type, chatbot information delivery method, and chatbot satisfaction, we want to reveal how the information delivery method by chatbots affects consumer satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach This study constructed a research model based on previous studies focusing on chatbot's information delivery method, consumer satisfaction with chatbot, and DISC behavior type. Findings According to the results of the empirical analysis, this study confirmed that there is a privacy concern in the form through the perceived privacy risk derived from the tendency to value privacy. In addition, this study confirmed that the behavior of Internet users involved in providing personal information is caused by perceived benefits that contradict privacy concerns.

A Application of 'analysis of concept' for understanding moral concept in elementary school moral instruction (도덕적 개념 이해를 위한 '개념분석법'의 적용 방안)

  • A general sequence of moral instruction in elementary school is advanced to understanding of contents, application of understanding, reflection of application. The understanding of contents as first stage of instruction is related with abstract moral concepts. A model of concept analysis as one of the moral instruction models could be applied to understand on abstract moral concept. We can find rationale of that model from the 'analysis of concept' that is proposed by John Wilson. His 'analysis of concept' is thinking technique based on informal logics of ordinal language. These technique is constituted of 'Isolating questions of concept', 'Right answers', 'Model cases', 'Contrary cases', 'Related cases', 'Borderline cases', 'Invented cases', 'Social context', 'Underlying anxiety', 'Practical results', 'Results in language'. And these techniques could be categorized some of stages like finding a concept for analysis, finding a cases for understanding, concerning on the contexts about using context, concerning on the verification of defined concept. But it has difficulties that directly applicate these stages and technique to elementary school students. For instruction in elementary school, teacher should be translated these terms about each stages and technique to terms suited for students. And it is good for students that these activity can inspire students' interests. In this thesis, I'm trying to translate original terms about concept analysis technique to terms that elementary school students can understand. And then, I'm intending to propose of moral instruction method about truth telling as a example.

  • Men learning has no fixed route. In other words, any route can be taken, which can also be seen in the structure of other "complex systems" discussed in modern society. It can also be examined through Yang's long-standing classic, The Book of Changes Men learning itself started from informal learning to become today's formal learning. As we look at the stages of human civilization's progress, we can quickly discover these stages of development. The issue of human beings has always been a topic of discussion, and these discussions are ongoing. Men learn through language and tools, technology and culture, and through philosophy, art, and religion to deal with their complex and diverse mental world. Through these various activities, learning is accomplished. This is not limited to the physical processes of one generation learning through inheriting knowledge; men's learning, a kind of mental process, has extended our life. This is why there is no other reason that men's minds and learning are always developing. This study is about how to learn in a complex and diversified modern society and to find out how to coexist with the principles of the "complex system" and The Book of Changes.

Considerations on Mathematics as a Practice (실천으로서의 수학에 대한 소고)

  • A practice is classified into the practice as a content and the practice as a method. The former means that the practical nature of mathematical knowledge itself should be a content of mathematics and the latter means that one should teach the mathematical knowledge in such a way as the practical nature is not damaged. The practical nature of mathematics means mathematician's activity as it is actually done. Activities of the mathematician are not only discovering strict proofs or building axiomatic system but informal thinking activities such as generalization, analogy, abstraction, induction etc. In this study, it is found that the most instructive ones for the future users of mathematics are such practice as content. For the practice as a method, students might learn, by becoming apprentice mathematicians, to do what master mathematicians do in their everyday practice. Classrooms are cultural milieux and microsoms of mathematical culture in which there are sets of beliefs and values that are perpetuated by the day-to-day practices and rituals of the cultures. Therefore, the students' sense of ‘what mathematics is really about’ is shaped by the culture of school mathematics. In turn, the sense of what mathematics is really all about determines how the students use the mathematics they have learned. In this sense, the practice on which classroom instruction might be modelled is that of mathematicians at work. To learn mathematics is to enter into an ongoing conversation conducted between practitioners who share common language. So students should experience mathematics in a way similar to the way mathematicians live it. It implies a view of mathematics classrooms as a places in which classroom activity is directed not simply toward the acquisition of the content of mathematics in the form of concepts and procedures but rather toward the individual and collaborative practice of mathematical thinking.

Real-time Implementation of MPEG-4 HVXC Encoder and Decoder on Floating Point DSP (부동 소수점 DSP를 이용한 MPEG-4 HVXC 인코더 및 디코더의 실시간 구현)

  • In this paper, we described the real-time implementation effort of MPEG-4 audio HVXC (Harmonic Vector eXcitation Coding) algorithm for very low bitrates, which has target applications from mobile communications to Internet telephony, on current high performance floating point TMS320C6701 DSP. We adopted a hardware structure for real-time operation. In order for software optimization, we used C- and assembly-language level optimizations for time-critical functional codes. Utilizing the internal program memory of the DSP as the program cache, the internal data memory overlap technique and DMA functionality, we could get a goal of realtime operation of HVXC codec both at 2 kbit/s and at 4 kbit/s. For an encoder at 2 kbit/s, the optimization ratio to original code is about 96 %. Finally, we got the subjective quality of MOS 2.45 at 2 kbit/s from an informal quality test.
