  • Clustering analysis is used in various fields including customer segmentation and clustering methods such as k-means are actively applied in the credit card customer segmentation. In this paper, we summarized the input features selection method of k-means clustering for the case of the credit card customer segmentation problem, and evaluated its feasibility through the analysis results. By using the label values of k-means clustering results as target features of a decision tree classification, we composed a method for prioritizing input features using the information gain of the branch. It is not easy to determine effectiveness with the clustering effectiveness index, but in the case of the CH index, cluster effectiveness is improved evidently in the method presented in this paper compared to the case of randomly determining priorities. The suggested method can be used for effectiveness of actively used clustering analysis including k-means method.

  • In this paper, general characteristics, blood tests, and ultrasound examination results were used to classify the presence of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The classification algorithms used were SVM (Support Vector Machine) and k-NN (k-Nearest Neighbors). Out of a total of 300 data samples, 210 were used as training data and 90 as test data. The results showed that SVM achieved higher accuracy compared to k-NN, confirming its greater utility in diagnosing the presence of PCOS. Future research is expected to improve classification performance by incorporating various additional indicators and securing more data. Additionally, it is expected to serve as a foundational resource for predicting and classifying other diseases.

Methods: Data from 91,263 persons aged 25-64 years were analyzed from three rounds of the Social Statistical Surveys of Korea between 1992 and 2006. Industry indicators were divided by the 9th Korean Standard Industrial Classification. Age-adjusted prevalence of smoking was calculated. Prevalence ratios(PR) and differences(PD) were estimated using log-binomial regression analysis. Results: Age-adjusted prevalence of smoking decreased between 1992 and 2006, specially the smoking prevalence of regular employees decreased most. PD in age-adjusted prevalence of smoking were the biggest between regular and daily employees. PR of the temporary employees', daily employees', self-employed persons' in order was wider than that of regular employees. PR increased significantly increased between 1999 and 2006 for those in manufacturing, construction, wholesale & retail trade, service industries. Increases in PR(regular/irregular) for women in service industry were statistically significant. Conclusions: Despite reducing overall cigarette smoking rates in males, the smoking rate was not reduced equally by industry classification and employment type in both genders. More adjustable antismoking policies and consideration of employment type are requested to reduce inequalities in smoking.

  • If Industrial state-of-the-art technology that made through IT convergence should be to build safely environment that can protect then IT technology and manufacturing industry become convergence and a growth engine become stable positioning. In each industry, there has been a steady effort for the industrial security. However, they introduced only managerial/technical/physical countermeasures. Therefore, it is difficult to find a reference point as industrial security necessity, protecting coverage and things and so on. It is to lack that academic research in industrial security for protecting industrial technology. In detail, a clear definition lack for industrial security. And target range classification lack for industrial security studies. In this study, we redefined the concept of industry security through previous studies. Academic classification designed industrial security studies through delphi method. we analyzed industry security trends based industrial security studies classification and presented domestic industry research orientations.

  • Radiation and radioisotopes have a high value in terms of utilization that can be used in convergence with various fields. However, due to the specificity of radiation, the use of radiation and radioisotopes is more difficult than in other industrial fields and also involves complex regulations. There are no clear industrial technology standards in these fields. Therefore, the growth of the radiation industry, especially including small companies, is being delayed. Since industrial technology standards play an important role in providing an institutional basis for the continuous development and settlement of domestic technology, the development of technical standards for the radiation and radioisotope industries can lead to systematic growth of the domestic radiation industry. To this end, the technology classification of the radiation industry was promoted and classified into 7 major categories, and detailed classification was divided according to the characteristics of each technology. In addition, a demand and perception survey on the need for industrial technology standards was conducted on RI licensed institutions and companies, and as a result, 61.4% responded that it was necessary, and in particular, they recognized the need for radiation safety(63.3%). In this paper, the technical classification for the radiation field is presented as the first step in the development of industrial technical standards for the radiation industry. In addition, the plan of the current status information and preparation of standard procedures of each category will be discussed.

  • Since the year 2000, the growth rate of domestic manufacturing has declined and the sales and employment have decreased. Major developed countries have established a variety of strategies to strengthen their manufacturing competitiveness, and promote manufacturing innovation through the convergence of technology and ICT. The key to manufacturing innovation is to reduce the time and cost for developing new products using modeling and simulation (M&S) technology in the product design stage. M&S industries, which belong to the top sector of the industry value chain, have a huge ripple effect across other industries. On the other hand, the competitiveness of the domestic M&S industry is weak compared to developed countries and even the definition and classification of domestic M&S companies have not been made. In this paper, by analyzing the Korea Standard Industry Classification (KSIC), five fine industry classifications included in M&S service companies were derived. In addition, the 307 M&S service companies were derived in accordance with the selection procedure of 3 steps from the 11,822 related companies. To analyze the capabilities of domestic M&S service companies, the current status of the selected M&S service companies was investigated. Considering the Korean economy's high dependence on the manufacturing industry, strengthening the competitiveness of manufacturing industry is required by enhancing the capacities and building an ecosystem in domestic M&S services for future sustainable economic growth.
